Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2602: Chapter 2603: Return to Tianyun (169)

Su Xing leaned over and kissed him, then with a bright smile, regardless of whether her face was still red, she said, ”This is how I feed you! Who else would feed you when you can’t eat or drink? You’re my husband, so only I can touch you! You are mine! Mine alone!”

Taoming Ye gently kissed her back and affectionately said, ”Yes, I’m yours. Yours alone.”

Su Xing beamed with satisfaction.

”You should sleep now. Let’s talk about everything tomorrow.” She looked more haggard than before, probably due to the recent events. Remembering that it was he who woke her up, Taoming Ye spoke up, hoping Su Xing would quickly fall asleep.

But Su Xing laughed and said, ”Now that you’re awake, I’m so happy and excited, how can I sleep? Or are you sleepy?”

Taoming Ye shook his head and said, ”I’ve slept so many days; how could I be sleepy again after just waking up? I’m not sleepy, I just want you to sleep. If I hadn’t woken you up, you would still be sleeping.”

Su Xing immediately said, ”It’s a good thing you woke me up. You don’t know that I just had a dream where I was completely gray-haired, and you still hadn’t woken up. I almost cried in my dream, but fortunately, you woke me up. Now I’m so happy, I’ve been waiting for you to wake up~”

Seeing her like this, Taoming Ye felt very pleased and asked, ”How do you want me to cherish you in the future?”

Su Xing immediately replied with a grin, ”You don’t need to cherish me, I’ll cherish you. Didn’t I just tell you? I’ll cherish you even more than before; you’re my treasured husband.”

”And you’re my treasured wife.”

”Mm-hmm~” She paused for a moment, then worriedly asked, ”Husband, does the wound on your back still hurt?”

”No, it doesn’t hurt.”

”I knew you would lie to me. How could such a big wound not hurt? It must be painful. But second brother said that if you nurture it for two months, it should heal. Husband, bear with it; two months isn’t that long, seven days have already passed.”

”Mm.” In fact, the wound on his back hurt terribly, a burning pain, but Taoming Ye tried hard not to show it because he didn’t want his treasured wife to see it and feel distressed.

Not wanting his treasured wife to continue worrying about his injury, Taoming Ye quickly changed the subject and asked, ”What’s the story with this big fire?”

Su Xing immediately sneered, ”It’s all Taoming Hai and Wan Banyan’s doing! They captured Aunt Zhou’s family and threatened her to burn us to death. Aunt Zhou did it to save her family, then she ran into a post and died.”

”Aunt Zhou didn’t say anything, just died like that. My father is very angry; he feels things aren’t that simple, so he sealed off the Tao Mansion and the Imperial City, searching house by house for Aunt Zhou’s family, to interrogate them. Later, they found Aunt Zhou’s kidnapped family in one of Taoming Hai’s properties outside.”

”Now, everything is clear, it was Taoming Hai and Wan Banyan’s doing. Taoming Hai and Wan Banyan thought they couldn’t live a good life as long as we were around, so they did that.”

”But we’ve never really been on bad terms with them to the point of harming them. I just don’t understand how they could think that way and develop such a deadly intent against us.”

”Now they’ve been imprisoned in the Ministry of Justice’s prison. Originally, the Tao family was to be implicated and punished along with the Five Clans. You know, my current status is Princess, and attempting to harm a Princess is a crime that warrants the extermination of the Five Clans.”
