Chapter 2605: Chapter 2606: Return to Tianyun (172)

An Jing and the others then stood up and, together with Su Xing, went into the room of Su Xing and Taoming Ye.

As soon as Taoming Ye saw An Jing and the others come in, he wanted to get up to salute, but An Jing and the others hurriedly stopped him: ”You’re already hurt like this, what are you still saluting for? Aren’t you afraid Xin’er will worry herself to death? Keep lying down, don’t make us worry along with you. Right now you just need to focus on recovering.”

Only then did Taoming Ye not get up to salute, and instead greeted them one by one, from his father‑in‑law Su Changyi to his seventh brother‑in‑law An Yizhi.

Su Yixing stepped forward to check the wound on Taoming Ye’s back, frowned, and said, ”It’s split a bit. I’ll change the medicine for you again, but it mustn’t split anymore. Your constitution is weak, this injury won’t heal easily, so we especially have to avoid a just‑healed wound splitting open again.”

Su Xing immediately said, ”Husband, I told you not to move around on the bed!”

Taoming Ye said gently, ”I only shifted a tiny bit. I didn’t think it would split.”

While reapplying medicine to the wound on Taoming Ye’s back, Su Yixing said with a smile, ”You’d best lie on the bed without moving at all. Once your injury heals and the poison is cleared, you can move however you like, no one will stop you. Right now everyone is doing this for your own good.”

”Alright.” Taoming Ye answered at once, looking very much like he had been properly taught a lesson.

After finishing treating the wound on Taoming Ye’s back, Su Yixing took his pulse again, then smiled and said, ”Sure enough, waking up makes a difference. This pulse is much steadier than yesterday’s.”

Everyone was quite happy.

After Su Yixing reminded them of a few more things, he stood up and said, ”Xin’er, take good care of Míngyè. I’ll head back first. It’s not like I’m busy with anything else; you all know what I’m doing.”

Everyone knew that Taoming Ye’s antidote couldn’t be stopped for even a single day, or he would have to start taking it all over again, so no one tried to keep Su Yixing. They even urged him to hurry off.

Only Su Xing and Taoming Ye felt a bit sorry toward this second brother, that Su Yixing had to run around so much for them.

An Jing comforted them: ”What is there to feel sorry about? If your second brother had something happen to him, could you two not help?”

The other brothers also comforted them.

Only then did Su Xing and Taoming Ye stop feeling so apologetic toward this second brother Su Yixing.

”Alright, hurry and eat your breakfast. It’s not good to stay hungry.” An Jing urged them to eat quickly.

Since it was hard for Taoming Ye to eat while lying on his stomach, Su Xing didn’t let him use his hands. She held the chopsticks herself and fed him, but Taoming Ye didn’t want her to stay hungry either, so Su Xing fed Taoming Ye a bite, then took a bite herself.

In short, they ate one bite for him, one bite for her. Watching this, An Yiqi, An Yilin, and An Yizhi kept poking each other’s arms, saying the two of them were too sweet, giving them all goosebumps.

An Jing, Su Changyi, Su Yi Jing, and An Yiyun instead felt that Su Xing and Taoming Ye being like this was very good. For a married couple, nothing is better than having deep feelings for each other.

Now that Taoming Ye had woken up, Su Xing was cheerful again, and An Jing and Su Changyi were no longer worried. Plus, they missed their grandchildren in the Royal Palace a little, so they went back to the Royal Palace with Su Yi Jing and the others, and no longer stayed at the Tao family estate.

As for the Ministry of Justice, Su Xing had Su Yi Jing pass along the message: execute Taoming Hai and Wan Banyan by beheading.

They were all very happy that Taoming Ye had woken up, including Tao Chengyin, Tao Mingsheng, and Tao Mingxiang. But upon learning that Taoming Hai had been beheaded, Tao Mingsheng and Tao Mingxiang’s moods turned rather heavy.

Tao Chengyin not only felt heavy‑hearted, he was also in great pain.

That was his legitimate son.
