Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2611: Chapter 2612: Return to Tianyun (178)

Su Xing burst into tears on the spot, crying in refusal to accept it: ”What nonsense are you spouting! My child is fine! We can definitely keep it! We can keep it! This has nothing to do with my husband, you’re not allowed to talk about my husband! You’re not allowed!”

As she spoke, Su Xing got up and threw her arms around Taoming Ye, who was drowning in self‑blame, looking every bit like a mother defending her child.

Being shielded by Su Xing like this made Taoming Ye feel even more crushed with guilt. If he hadn’t been poisoned, they’d be able to keep this child, right?

He couldn’t help it; his eyes turned red.

Su Xing had never seen Taoming Ye like this before, and got even more worked up: ”You all leave, I don’t want to hear you talk anymore! Leave! Go! Go!”

Su Xing went crazy, trying to drive Su Yixing and the others out, but Taoming Ye held her, crying, keeping her from chasing them away.

”Xin’er, don’t be like this, don’t be like this...” Taoming Ye didn’t even know what to say, he could only repeat that.

”Husband, don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry...” Seeing Taoming Ye’s tears fall, Su Xing got so anxious she could barely breathe, and as she kept soothing him, her own tears started pattering down as well.

An Jing and Su Changyi couldn’t bear to watch anymore.

Su Yixing couldn’t bear it either, but there was no choice; he had to go on: ”It truly has nothing to do with Míngyè, Míngyè is a victim too. The one to blame is the person who poisoned Míngyè. If she hadn’t poisoned him, this child of yours should’ve been able to be born safe and sound.”

”I’ll go kill her!” Su Xing’s eyes were bloodshot as she moved to kill Mrs. Cao.

”Xin’er, don’t be impulsive. She’s going to fall into the pit we dug for her sooner or later. Don’t let everything we’ve done so far go to waste.” Taoming Ye wouldn’t let her go. Killing Mrs. Cao now would be too easy on her. He had to ruin Mrs. Cao’s reputation first, then kill her.

Su Yixing said, ”Míngyè is right, you can’t act on impulse now. Wait until Mrs. Cao falls into the trap, then dealing with her won’t be too late. The most urgent thing right now is this: you have to get rid of this child before three months, otherwise I’m afraid even your own life will be in danger.”

Su Xing instantly cried and shouted at Su Yixing: ”I won’t! I won’t! No one is allowed to get rid of my child!”

Taoming Ye felt so miserable that all he could do was hold Su Xing tight, keeping her from running out; he couldn’t even force a sentence out.

Su Yixing said, ”If you don’t get rid of this child, in the end it’ll only be born a stillbirth! Of course, that’s assuming you can even carry it to term! Maybe in a few days the child will just miscarry on its own!” 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

”You’re not allowed to curse my child! I won’t let you curse my child!”

”I’m not cursing your child, I’m telling you the truth!” Su Yixing’s tone grew heavier. ”This child hasn’t even properly formed in your belly yet and it’s already poisoned. How could it possibly survive? If the child’s life is a bit tougher, at most it’ll manage to form in your womb, but there’s absolutely no way you’ll be able to give birth to it! Even if you do, it’ll be a stillbirth! Father and Mother and I all don’t want anything to happen to you, that’s why we came to persuade you, to have you abort the child so you don’t end up in danger too! You and Míngyè are still young. Once the poison in his body is cleared, you can have as many children as you want. This child truly can’t be kept. Xin’er, listen, you must get rid of this child.”

In the end, Su Yixing softened his tone.

But Su Xing couldn’t take in a single word: ”I won’t get rid of my child! This is my child! This is the child between me and my husband! I’ve been longing for this one child, I won’t get rid of it!”

Yet Taoming Ye began to persuade her instead: ”Xin’er, Second Brother is right. You should get rid of this child. We still have a long life ahead of us; we can have another in the future. Right now, you’re more important. We can have more children later, but if you’re gone, what am I supposed to do?”
