Chapter 2615: Chapter 2616: Return to Tianyun (182)

Ru Song and Hong Ye tested with a silver needle in advance and only dared to give it to Taoming Ye and Su Xing after confirming it wasn’t poisoned.

When Taoming Ye saw the food being brought in, he struggled to sit up and held Su Xing’s hand to sit at the table for dinner.

As soon as he sat down, Taoming Ye picked up his chopsticks and served food to Su Xing, ”You didn’t eat much for lunch, eat more.”

Su Xing had no appetite to eat, but she still obediently started eating, trying hard to hold back her tears, but tears silently kept falling, dropping into the bowl.

Taoming Ye felt heartbroken to death, and before he could speak, he heard someone reporting: ”Your Highness Princess, Prince Consort, Minister Tao is here.”

Taoming Ye said, ”Please let him in quickly.”

Tao Chengyin came in hurriedly and asked urgently, ”Princess, Prince Consort, what happened? I came back a bit late today and heard that the Princess is pregnant. Before I could feel happy, I heard that this child has to be aborted. Why must it be aborted?”

This time, Su Xing couldn’t eat a single grain of rice, only bowed her head, tears continuously falling into the bowl.

Tao Chengyin saw this and knew the child must really be aborted, which made him feel uncomfortable too. His legitimate son’s child miscarried, and now this eldest son’s child is also to be aborted. When can he have a grandchild?

Taoming Ye lied, ”Dad, Prince Xing heard that Xin’er is pregnant and was very happy, so he came over to check her pulse. He found that Xin’er’s pulse was much weaker than other pregnant women. This child might not grow big in Xin’er’s belly, and it’s best to abort quickly. Otherwise, it might even endanger Xin’er.”

”So that’s how it is.” Tao Chengyin understood, but his mood grew heavier. ”Has Your Highness the Princess already aborted?”

Taoming Ye shook his head.

Su Xing was still only shedding tears.

Tao Chengyin felt worse, but he advised, ”Your Highness the Princess, you’re still young, and there’s plenty of time ahead. Since this child can’t survive, it means he doesn’t have the fortune to be your child. I hope Your Highness the Princess prioritizes your own health and aborts the child soon.”

Su Xing’s tears fell even more.

Under the table, Taoming Ye tightly held one of Su Xing’s hands and said, ”Dad, please stop talking. Xin’er has her own thoughts and decisions.”

Tao Chengyin didn’t dare to speak too much. After hearing Taoming Ye say that, he could only agree silently, without saying more.

”Dad, would you like to stay and eat?” Taoming Ye asked.

Tao Chengyin said, ”No need, your legitimate mother hasn’t recovered yet. I must go and check on her.”

Although Su Xing kept her head down, a fierce light flashed in her eyes. It was all Mrs. Cao’s fault!

Taoming Ye said calmly, ”Then, Dad, please go check on the legitimate mother. Also, give her regards from me and Xin’er, and tell her to take good care of herself and recover soon.”

”Alright.” Tao Chengyin agreed, said a few more casual words, and then turned to leave the courtyard where Su Xing and Taoming Ye lived.

Only after Tao Chengyin left did Su Xing grit her teeth and say, ”One day, I will definitely tear her to pieces!”

She had already harmed her husband for over twenty years, and now she was harming both her and her husband’s child. If she could bear this, she wouldn’t be called Su Xing!

Taoming Ye also hated Mrs. Cao immensely, but he still softly comforted her, ”Good and evil are eventually repaid. It’s not that they won’t be, but the time hasn’t come. Someday, she will get her retribution.”

As he spoke, he used a brocade handkerchief to wipe her tears and urged her, ”Eat, eat more; these are all your favorite dishes.”

”Okay.” Although Su Xing agreed, she actually didn’t eat much, as she really had no appetite.
