Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1837: Chapter 1838: You Are Not Alone

Although she didn’t say anything more to Su Yi Jing, after breakfast, An Jing still couldn’t help asking Xiao Changyi to persuade Su Yi Jing.

Such a big living person left, she just didn’t believe her eldest son could really let it go and not care at all.

But Xiao Changyi didn’t immediately persuade Su Yi Jing about anything. Instead, he said, ”Let him be alone for a while. We’re still alive. As the eldest son, he won’t do anything foolish, you don’t have to worry too much.”

An Jing also knew that Su Yi Jing was responsible as the eldest son, but she really couldn’t help worrying. However, since Xiao Changyi said so, she also thought it made sense. So even though she was still very worried, she didn’t say anything more to have Xiao Changyi persuade.

Once Su Yi Jing finished washing the dishes, he went to the woodshed to chop wood. He acted particularly normal, as if Qingqing had never appeared, and had never left.

An Jing was worried, she couldn’t sleep well at night.

Qingqing had been gone for three days. Xiao Changyi felt that Su Yi Jing should have calmed down, so he planned to have a good talk with his son.

But before he spoke, Su Yi Jing spoke first, with no emotional fluctuations in his tone: ”Dad, I know what you want to say, you don’t need to say it. Listen to me, I won’t waste time on someone who doesn’t like me. Since she’s gone, just let her go, I have no intention of looking for her.”

Xiao Changyi was silent for a long time, then asked, ”Have you really let it go?”

”Yeah.”

Xiao Changyi didn’t believe at all that Su Yi Jing could really let it go, but he didn’t say anything more.

But Su Yi Jing continued to say, ”Dad, help me comfort mom well. I’m really fine, tell her not to worry about me. She should take care of herself, she’s pregnant. If something happened to her because she worried about me, how would I face myself, how would I face you, and how would I face my siblings.”

Xiao Changyi sighed lightly, then said, ”Your mom has me, so don’t worry. Just take care of yourself.”

After a while, Xiao Changyi still added, ”If you can let it go, just let it go. If you really can’t, don’t make yourself too miserable. You still have your dad and mom, and your younger brothers, you’re not alone.”

Su Yi Jing’s lips quivered slightly, then he nodded, ”Yeah.”

He had already said what needed to be said, and Xiao Changyi had nothing more to say. He lightly patted Su Yi Jing on the shoulder, then turned to leave Su Yi Jing’s room and went to take care of the pregnant An Jing.

Su Yi Jing sat at the table, staring at his wide-open room door for a long time, before getting up to go to the guest room.

The guest room had been tidied up neatly by Feng Feiyan, but a wedding gown was placed on one side of the cabinet. That wedding gown was made by Feng Feiyan for herself, and she also made one for Su Yi Jing, which was kept by him. It was meant to be worn on their wedding day.

Su Yi Jing looked at Feng Feiyan’s wedding gown expressionlessly for a long while, before grabbing it and tightly clutching it in his hand. Then he took the wedding gown back to his room, took his own wedding gown from his wardrobe, wrapped it in a bundle, and took the six rabbits raised by Feng Feiyan out of the door.

Afraid that An Jing and Xiao Changyi would worry, before going out, he shouted to them, ”Dad, mom, I’m going out for a while, I’ll be back soon.”

As soon as he went out, Su Yi Jing headed into the mountains.

First, he released all six rabbits back into the woods, and then he took out a fire starter and burned the wedding gown.
