Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1833: Chapter 1834: The Sooner the Better

When she first met Su Yi Jing, Qingqing asked, ”Will you treat me well for a lifetime?”

”Yes.”

”Then let’s get married.”

”Yes.” This time, Su Yi Jing nodded with a smile. Even though they had only known each other for just over two months, he wanted to hold her hand for a lifetime.

...

”Are you really getting married?” An Jing couldn’t believe it when she learned that Su Yi Jing and Qingqing were getting married.

Before Su Yi Jing and Qingqing could answer, An Jing took Qingqing’s hand and said, ”Qingqing, is Jing’er forcing you? If so, tell me honestly, and I’ll definitely set him straight.”

Qingqing was a bit shy about getting married, her face a little red, but she still shook her head and said, ”He didn’t force me, I’m willing.”

Upon hearing that it was mutual consent, An Jing was instantly overjoyed, ”That’s wonderful! I’m finally going to have a daughter-in-law!”

The reason An Jing did not object at all at this moment was that, over the past two months, she also saw that Qingqing was truly a good girl, mainly because of her agreeable personality that made it impossible to dislike her.

Su Yi Jing then spoke up, ”Mother, I want to have the wedding as soon as possible.” He paused, ”The sooner, the better.”

Xiao Changyi frowned, ”Can’t you wait until your mother gives birth?” His wife had been pregnant for six months, and she should give birth in about three months. Couldn’t his son wait even three months?

Looking at his mother’s big belly, Su Yi Jing hesitated a little. If he were to marry, his mother would definitely worry despite herself, and he didn’t want his mother, while pregnant, to worry about her sons...

Qingqing, blushing, whispered to Su Yi Jing, ”Let’s wait until Aunt Jing has given birth, I’m not in a hurry.”

Su Yi Jing thought to himself, I’m in a hurry. But seeing his mother’s large belly, he finally decided, ”Then we’ll wait until mother has the baby before Qingqing and I get married.”

An Jing wanted to say, ’If you want to get married as soon as possible, then do it, I don’t mind,’ but before she could say that to her eldest son, he and her husband had already decided that they would only marry after she had given birth.

Since both her son and her husband had decided, An Jing could accept the decision, so it was decided.

However, An Jing spoke about other things, ”Even though you won’t be getting married soon, some things are still better to prepare in advance, like the wedding clothes. Jing’er, why don’t you take Qingqing to town tomorrow to make the wedding clothes, just have them ready?”

”Okay.” Su Yi Jing had no objections.

Qingqing quietly expressed her opinion, ”I think I know how to make the wedding clothes myself...” meaning, she wanted to make the wedding clothes herself.

Here, it was customary for the bride to make her own wedding clothes.

”You want to make your wedding clothes yourself? That’s even better!” An Jing was extremely happy, ”Then tomorrow, just let Jing’er go to town to buy some red fabric for you to make them.”

”Okay.” Qingqing replied, lowering her head with a blush on her face.

Su Yi Jing just gazed at Qingqing’s bashful appearance with tenderness, feeling that her shyness made it hard for him to look away.

An Jing just thought that girls around here were all so shy about getting married. When she got married, tsk tsk...

...

When Su Yi Jing bought the red fabric from the nearest town and saw Qingqing skillfully using scissors and needle to make the wedding clothes, An Jing and the others realized how excellent Qingqing’s needlework was.

Qingqing herself was very surprised.

At the time, she just thought she could probably make the wedding clothes, but she hadn’t expected her needlework to be this good.

Qingqing made wedding clothes for herself and also made them for Su Yi Jing.
