Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1831: Chapter 1832: You Were Picked Up by Me, So You Belong to Me

”I will,” Su Yi Jing immediately said, ”You just need to follow me.”

Qingqing hesitated for a moment, then nodded, ”Then I’ll go with you.” Since she had nothing else to do anyway.

Shepherding is actually quite simple. It’s just about leading the three sheep to the hillside and letting them eat the grass there.

Once Su Yi Jing saw the three sheep obediently eating the grass, he sat down, right on the hillside.

The hillside where he’s located now isn’t very steep, just a small slope, surrounded by lush green grass. Looking around, there’s hardly any sign of people, only mountains and water.

The weather today is great, with the mountains, water, and sky connected, making one feel open-minded and peaceful at heart.

Seeing Qingqing just standing there, Su Yi Jing patted the spot beside him, signaling her to sit down.

Qingqing was quite hesitant.

Su Yi Jing rarely joked, ”Afraid of dirt?”

Qingqing felt a bit embarrassed; she sometimes truly felt out of place. After hesitating for a moment, even though she felt she shouldn’t, she still sat next to Su Yi Jing.

Seeing her sit down, a hint of a smile flashed in Su Yi Jing’s eyes. After a while, with no particular expression, he spoke again, ”You need to adapt to the life here.”

Without waiting for Qingqing to speak, Su Yi Jing continued, ”You are going to live here forever.”

Qingqing was puzzled, ”Isn’t it that once I recover my memory, I can leave?”

Su Yi Jing’s gaze immediately turned icy, ”Are you so eager to leave?”

Qingqing shivered a bit, turned her eyes away, not meeting Su Yi Jing’s gaze, and said quietly, ”I’m not exactly eager to leave. It’s rather nice here, one could live quite peacefully. It’s just that I feel I might not belong here.”

”I belong here, so you belong here.”

”Huh?” Qingqing didn’t understand what he meant for a moment.

Su Yi Jing rarely explained kindly, ”I found you, so you’re mine. Wherever I am, you have to be.”

Qingqing laughed and cried, ”Stop joking.” Though she said this, her heart was pounding rapidly.

The person in front of her was really too domineering, making her always a bit unable to cope.

Su Yi Jing didn’t say he was joking, nor did he say anything else. He simply turned his head, looking at Qingqing. Just looking at Qingqing.

To the point Qingqing didn’t dare to meet his gaze.

...

Not knowing who she is, nor where to go, without the ability to protect herself, Qingqing could only continue staying with An Jing, hoping that one day she might remember who she is and return home.

Ever since following Su Yi Jing to shepherd, Su Yi Jing always brings Qingqing along whenever he goes to shepherd. They sit on the grass together, watching the sheep graze, looking at birds flying overhead, watching the sunrise and sunset together.

To be honest, apart from Su Yi Jing always being so domineering that Qingqing finds it hard to handle, Qingqing quite enjoys being together with Su Yi Jing.

Su Yi Jing is indeed very good to her.

Unknowingly, two months slipped through their fingers this way. Su Yi Jing and Qingqing grew so accustomed to each other that they were almost inseparable, with Su Yi Jing taking Qingqing along whenever he went out.

However, Su Yi Jing never traveled far, only staying around his home, in the nearby mountains, and by the stream.

Today, Qingqing followed Su Yi Jing up the mountains to chop wood. Although it’s already November and the weather is a bit cold, the sun is shining brightly today, so it wasn’t too cold. Once they’ve chopped enough wood, while passing by the stream, they sat on a big rock by the stream, watching the flowing water and listening to the trees sway.
