COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Hachiman also finished looking up information of this schoolgirl with purple twin tails.

First grade, Class A, Ichika Amasawa.

Academic A (87)

Athleticism A- (83)

Intelligence D+ (38)

Social Contribution C+ (57)

Final evaluation B (68)

The other party’s academic evaluation is indeed at A level.

“So, senpai, do you want to team up with me?” As Ichika said this, she also looked at Kiyotaka. She took out her tablet and opened his OA data.

It is very ordinary in every aspect, like the kind that wouldn’t create any fuss if thrown under the bus.

“Ayanokoji-senpai’s data is a bit more difficult than Hikigaya-senpai’s. So we need to form a team?” In other words, this junior schoolmate was very kind-hearted.

Then Kiyotaka, who is in a more dangerous situation, should team up with her immediately.

“Then I would like to ask you to join my team,” Hikigaya-kun decided to be selfish at wrong moment.

Blink!

“Sure.” This Ichika schoolmate immediately opened the column of received messages on the tablet, and then quickly clicked [Agree] button.

A system prompt [Congratulations on forming a team successfully] appeared on both of their tablets.

“That’s it, then,” Perhaps Ichika felt that team was complete and there was no need to stay, so she turned around and left with the pile of milk tea and cakes.

Kiyotaka and Hikigaya, who remained where they were, remained silent for a while.

“She is from White Room.” X1

“She is from White Room.” X1

Both spoke in unison.

Just as Kiyotaka said, the person who would come into contact with him, most likely be White Roomer, so the risk factor would increase.

The other party also took the initiative to team up with him, which increased the risk factor again.

’When I was just thinking about the reasons to reject, Hikigaya directly applied to join her team. Because one person can only team up with one, so if Hikigaya takes this spot, I will be safe....But...’

“Aren’t you worried that she’ll let you down on purpose and cause you to fail the exam?” Kiyotaka is a super genius, ceiling of the white room.

’I can get 100 points on a 100-point test, because the full score is only 100. But for others, like Hikigaya, they have not received any special training and are not gifted geniuses. So, for the same test paper, you can only get so many points. The second-year exam has already been confirmed to be 20% beyond the syllabus, which means that even a student like you can only get 80 points at most! So, Hikigaya must feel pressured as well. At the same time, after forming a team, it is not allowed to cancel at will. Then if this girl from White room lets off...Isn’t Hikigaya Hachiman in danger? Are you stupid?’

It’s dangerous!

“...I will think of something.”

“Alright if you say so, wait are you leaving?”

Hachiman didn’t stay with Kiyotaka for long, just to get some information.

The reason was that yesterday, junior schoolmates Hosen and Nanase came to class on purpose to provoke, and Hachiman did not think this was a coincidence.

So, he thought Hosen might be planning something..The target should be Ayanokoji Kiyotaka.

But now....There has already been a student from White Room who blew herself up.

Ayanokoji’s business is Ayanokoji’s business, and what Hikigaya-kun needs to focus on now is his own.

His team had just been formed.

According to data on OA, Ichika Amasawa’s academic ability evaluation is 87, which is A level.

’However, according to Ayanokoji, the knowledge learned by White Roomers is beyond that of ordinary colleges and universities. For example, he completed university content at the age of 7....Even if others cannot reach the ceiling, ability is definitely beyond the recorded data....’ In other words, Hachiman picked up a top student for free.

Certainly, but there are risks too.

So when Ichika asked if he could team up with her just now, didn’t answer immediately.

From what Ayanokoji understood, Tsukishiro was here to expel him from school, and he also arranged for White Room to come and help.

This is a classic case of using magic to defeat magic.

According to rules of this exam, total score of two partners taking the exam needs to reach 501 points.

Those suspected of giving too much slack will be punished and their scores deemed invalid.

That is, there might be some leniency among White Roomers, and Chief examiner is Tsukishiro, so he will turn a blind eye to it.

Therefore, White Roomers may be able to get the maximum slack to only score 1 point.

So if Hachiman wants to pass here, he needs to get full marks in all subjects, a total of 500 points, and by doing so, he will be more conspicuous.

With the image of Sudo as an idiot who excels in sports in front of him, Ayanokoji wouldn’t think it was strange even if he had maxed out his physical fitness.

But once the academic ability is raised, will all be improved. It will become dazzling.

At the same time, might become troublesome.

’So, will Hikigaya Hachiman leave this classroom, and will he take on the responsibility afterwards? I have no interest in this kind of thing. What I want to pursue is freedom, not the challenging situation of one-on-many with others desperately holding me back.....’ Kiyotaka was going dark by the second, his thoughts continued to evolve.

Hachiman accepted to team up with Amasawa Ichika..Directly occupying the place of White Room, she will not be able to invite Kiyotaka to form a team again.

It looks like Ayanokoji was rescued.

But it is a bold move, and one that could be dangerous. However, Hachiman didn’t think so.

’In my opinion, even if this Kouhai Ichika was a student of White Room, she would be harmless. Why do I say that? It’s like this.....’

“There’s a girl with purple hair and twin ponytails who’s been coming to our store frequently these past two days. She always buys a lot of different flavors of milk tea. But one thing that was quite unique was that she only asked for a straw. It seems that she drank it all by herself. I am a little worried that her body might be suffering from excessive intake of sugar.....”

He was now in the milk tea shop and cake shop where he had just seen Amasawa Ichika carrying the packages from.

After describing her appearance, the clerk responded quickly.

After all, Kouhai Ichika is cute, with charming twin ponytails, and she attracts a lot of attention.

The replies he received concluded she is a foodie like Ichinose.

’According to Ayanokoji, students weight will be controlled....And it is also possible to gain weight to get closer to him. But, now that Amasawa has come forward and exposed herself, there is no need to change her weight or anything like that....So, goal probably same as him. Enjoy Life. She has been in an institution for a long time and now has got the opportunity to get out...so she won’t go back so easily....In other words, even if she accepted the task of expelling Ayanokoji from school, she was slacking off....’

“Then give me two cups of mango sago,” Hachiman also started to take orders.

[I’ll find you at night] by Kikyo Kushida.

’Although I don’t know what happened to Kushida, I’ll go to old place first. Buy two cups, one for her to drink after she vents her emotions when her throat is dry. I will give the other cup to myself, and drink it while watching Kushida vent her emotions....’

Ichinose’s class reunion has ended. Karuizawa has also sent a message.

She said that her team formation has ended.

In Yukimura’s tutoring group, Haruka also announced that all the members had obtained partners, so would be safe in this exam.

Certainly, Mr. Ike is not inside.

After not attending make-up classes during first holiday, he was deleted by Haruka.

Hachiman reported that his side had already formed a team.

[I got a ride with a girl from Class A, Grade 1.]

Haruka: That’s great. This junior girl has an A in academic ability. So, Hachi, you only need to get 30 or 40 points in each subject, right?

Everyone has witnessed academic ability of the top student.

If one can score 400 or 450 points in 5 subjects, you are a monster.

So as a partner, you can say that all you have to do is sit back and be carried away.

While playing with his phone, Hachiman waited for Kushida who went back to the dormitory.

The reason he say this is that when Hachiman saw her in classroom, she was wearing white socks. And now, she has changed into black ones.

’So to speak. Kushida, what happened to you? Her old place is a rarely visited railing facing an artificial lake. There is a bench a little further back.’

Usually, Hachiman would just sit there and play with his phone, waiting for Kushida to vent completely.

If it were usual, she would have kicked the railing directly.

But now, girl is not the same.

With the fragrance on her body, she sat down directly on the other half of the bench. Then she moved her body closer to his side.

Because of taking a shower, there was a very fragrant scent of shower gel, of course, it could also be her own scent.

’It hasn’t been a long time since Ichinose’s exchange meeting ended, but you still went back to the dormitory and even took a shower. So, what happened to you, Kushida?!’ Hachiman knew this person was the type who would shower in morning and not wash at night, “Hey, Isn’t it too close?!”

Because now Kushida-chan is less than 5 centimeters away from him, if he moves his body even a little, their limbs may be close to each other.

“Am I?” However, Kushida-chan has become quite cute. She looked at him with slightly moist eyes and slightly red cheeks.

“....” Hachiman, “Are you in any trouble?”

“Yeah,” She leaned in as she put her shoulder close to him, “I met a real scammer today. First-year class B, Yagami Takuya.”

First grade, Class B, Takuya Yagami.

Hachiman received a report from Suzune, saying this junior took the initiative to greet Kushida and seemed to be from same junior high school as Kushida and her.

And this should be person that Kushida was wary of before.

’Logically speaking, Kushida shouldn’t need to worry about her junior schoolmates....Because in the case of Ichinose, the act of spreading rumors will be sealed by the school. However, Kushida’s dark history is totally inconsistent with her current image of a cute little angel, so any information released will be regarded as a rumor....Then it will be dealt with. As Vice president of the student council, I can enforce the law impartially.....And Sakayanagi also has the authority as student council president to expel a student. Although the price may be a bit higher, you can buy it if you want. Or let her down from President, have new one fire the dangerous people, then resign and have Sakayanagi take over again. This achieves 0 loss.....’

“So you are worried this kouhai will spread your dark history everywhere?” Hachiman feels that Kushida... doesn’t seem to have reacted.

“On the one hand, it is this, but...I don’t know this guy. I can confirm that he is not a junior from the school I attend. You know, this is my interest and goal. I want to be kind to many people and have a lot of friends. So forgetting the other person’s identity is a taboo. So I’ve been forcing myself to remember information of the people around me. But I really have no impression of this junior. It’s impossible that I have ever said hello to him or anything like that....”

Kushida concluded her today with a dark troubled face, that makes her look very pitiful, “So, I think he’s trying to blackmail me!”
