COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

“Sakayanagi, I know you are in the library, come down right now!”

“Don’t think I won’t be able to find you if you don’t answer the phone!”

“Give my 14 million back!”

It seems like someone is cursing her name downstairs. But other party was stopped by someone.

Kamuro-san then walked away from the table and went to railing on second floor, and immediately saw a boy with golden hair being stopped by Kito and Hashimoto of class at entrance of the library.

Although Hashimoto is frivolous, he has excellent physical fitness.

Kito is not a talkative guy, but he is very physically fit and is the most scary, and mysterious boy in class.

The person they stopped now was Nagumo.

This is a dropout child that Sakayanagi and Hikigaya Hachiman were just discussing.

While latter glanced at phone that Sakayanagi had placed on table, it has been turned off since arriving here.

Obviously, this was intentional.

The reason was...not to answer Nagumo’s call.

Having experienced a student dropping out once before, Hachiman was familiar with the process.

Students need to leave the school within 2 hours. You can bring your personal belongings.

The mobile phone will be submitted.

If points are reset to zero before submission, school will not pursue the matter.

However, if points are not reset to zero before submission, school will not provide compensation after receiving the phone.

But for Nagumo, he was fired and only had 2 hours left. So what he wants to do must be... to save himself.

“Let him come up,” As she said this, she noticed that Hikigaya-kun, who was sitting next to her, suddenly pushed his chair away and stood up.

“Nagumo is in a somewhat agitated mental state right now, so it’s better for you to be careful.....”

’In other words, does that mean Hikigaya-kun is protecting me? Isn’t he very reliable?  If giving money and praising him for his ability to assist me was just coaxing him before, now I really think he can take on big responsibility.....It is true that other party is a rational monster.’

“Our princess invites you to come up.”

Hashimoto received the message from Kamuro-san and took initiative to give way.

He and Kito did not leave either, they just let go of the hands that were blocking Nagumo and followed.

Sakayanagi is in poor health, and child is about to drop out of school, so who knows if he will resort to violence.

“Give me back the 14 million points!” When Nagumo saw Sakayanagi, he didn’t go up to her directly, but said very loudly, “You didn’t fire me, so I don’t have to pay you!”

“Oh.....” Sakayanagi just nodded, as if she didn’t know any better.

“Yeah, I won’t let you take the money for nothing. Instead, I am here to borrow some!”

“Oh.....!”

“Lend me 20 million, and I will pay you back 40 in half a year. Don’t you want points?!”

20 million, 40 million points.

It can be said that he is worthy of being representative of the second grade. He can get huge points as soon as he opens his mouth.

Aside from Sakayanagi and Hikigaya, everyone around was surprised at the price he had released.

“.....” But Sakayanagi did not respond immediately, even stopped nodding her face.

“You can get a net profit of 20 million from me in half a year. I think this is something no student can refuse!”

“It’s indeed very tempting,” But Arisu Sakayanagi held the cane and shook her head gently.

“....What do you mean?” Nagumo had no choice but to ask her for a loan. ’Suddenly, I received the news that I was fired. It’s just fucked. Moreover, probably by senior Horikita. Rather than immediately going to argue with him, I felt that it would be more direct to get 20 million points to save my life....But I collected 16 million himself and gave 14 to Sakayanagi. If I want to borrow money, there is no other way except to get it back from her or borrow it....’

Now a loan shark has been offered that has surprised everyone.

“Don’t you understand yet?” Vice President Hikigaya who was quietly watching until now, finally opened his mouth, those dead eyes without any life didn’t make Nagumo feel any better, to be honest he even had a bad feeling, “I also find the conditions you proposed, Nagumo-senpai, very tempting. If you want to borrow money to offset your withdrawal and then pay the interest, I can accept it even if you only give me 5 million as profit....”

“Then, will you lend it to me?” Nagumo surprisingly felt a little hopeful, knew that besides Sakayanagi, Hikigaya was also a master at making money. ’During the forest exam, he must have gained huge benefits. So Hikigaya must have 20 million as well.....’

“No, Because I like this school very much and don’t want to be implicated by you.”

“• ? •” Nagumo looked at him strangely.

“You may not know the reason why you were expelled. Do you think President Horikita is the kind of person who would take revenge on others?” Sakayanagi used her special tone which means to say, was looking down on this person who came to borrow points.

“....” Kamuro-san who knows.

“You mean?” Nagumo was brought into the student council by Horikita Manabu, and it was at that time  he took off, got a taste of power and wanted more.

So it was also at that time that he started to take control of second grade.

“It’s school’s intention to expel you, who have forgotten essence of the board of directors. It’s a class confrontation. Higher-ups hope the students can grow from experience. But, your second grade has been stagnant for a whole year, hasn’t it?” At this point, Sakayanagi’s calm face gave him a feeling of dread.

It was stagnant for a whole year, that is to say, during his reign. Nagumo also had some concerns in this regard, so after eliminating his opponents, he began to ask students in Class A of second year to improve their academic and physical fitness.

The purpose was also to graduate in Class A in future, which would look good.

The result... is it still not working?

“That’s what school means. And I only took 14 million from you. Your total was 16, and I generously left you an extra 2 million points. This way, even if you drop out of school, you can still get some compensation.”

“.....” Nagumo seemed to have heard something very wrong just now.

Get some compensation. 2 million points, converted into cash, that’s 1.6.

However, he can’t get it now that he is about to be expelled from school.

If you want to take it, go to shopping street, buy things and sell outside.

Nagumo raised his hand and looked at the time, already 3:43  He was notified to drop out at 2 o’clock and could only stay in school for two hours. ’....Am I just going to leave with a bunch of stuff to sell in such a dejected manner?’

Without hesitation, he turned around and ran down the stairs.

He was very unwilling. But there is currently no safe solution.

’That bitch Sakayanagi and scum Hikigaya have blocked my way. This is an order issued by the school. What can I do? Even if I refused to drop out and raised points now, if school targeted me, I would be expelled once again....Therefore, for time being, school probably won’t be able to accommodate me...But at this moment I mobilized all my brain cells. There is only one goal. Imagine a future that is still possible....There was only one thing I could do. I must do it!’ Soon, Nagumo who came quickly and left even faster.

But, Hachiman’s eyes glanced at Sakayanagi with some regret, “Your hopes of getting 1 million points per class in second year will be dashed. At least for time being, you won’t be able to collect money.”

’Nagumo probably only has one thing to do if he goes back now. Go and cheat away all points of second graders. Try to collect enough as much as possible and then entrust it to one person. At graduation. See if, people can buy him back....No one has ever done this before, but as long as no one has done it, possible that proposing this model will be allowed....So this is Nagumo’s only way to save himself now.’

“Mmph!” Sakayanagi pouted, and this was the reason why she didn’t want to answer Nagumo’s call.

“So let’s continue discussing council members....”

She just said that among student council members, 3rd-year students are about to graduate and positions are vacant, so she is going to fire all second-year students.

But haven’t talked about first grade yet.

In Horikita Manabu’s student council, there are only two first-year members, one is Sakayanagi, and the other... is Karuizawa Kei.

Hachiman still takes care of his reputation. ’Since I’ve given Karuizawa this position, I don’t want her to lose it....’

“If you want to plead for your Karuizawa-san, then don’t say anything. I don’t object to you raising a dog. Her position will remain the same.....”

’That’s fine. Although Sakayanagi’s words were excessive, this confirmed that Karuizawa could continue to call herself a member of the student council.....’ Hachiman then stopped paying attention to council members.

Very quickly, Sakayanagi also arranged for Kamuro-san to go and inform them of news.

She fulfilled what she had said when she went to Ichinose’s class and planned to appoint her from 1st year Class C be secretary of her new student council.
