COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

”Let’s go back!” Hosen also imitated Ryuen’s behavior and pretended to go home.

”Where do you think you are going?”

???

”I’m Vice President of Student council, Hikigaya Hachiman, Class B, 2nd year.”

Enforcement was carried out.

”The students around were witnesses, including me, who saw the brutality perpetrated against students of same school.”

”Punish him.....” a voice echoed among the crowd.

”Strangle him.....”

”Kill him.....”

Poor Students of Class B were now feeling quite brave to voice their opinions regarding Hosen.

”.....” Hosen.

”Sakura Airi....” Hachiman called out her name in public, girl though a little intimidated by scene around her, handed over the camera.

Then pulled out a photo of Hosen grabbing Ibuki’s neck that was taken on her pink camera.

”Because the scene was too violent and of a bad nature....You already learnt true essence of this school today, right? But, you still carry out violent actions in public under the cameras. Then it is knowingly breaking the law.”

Everyone kept mouth shut.

”So, your first-year D Class evaluation score will be deducted. I have decided to use the maximum penalty for fighting, which is to reduce 100 points.”

”Hosen Kazuomi, you will be suspended from school for a week. Don’t forget to pay the victim 100,000 points in compensation.”

”.....” Hosen didn’t say anything.

”What? You don’t accept this punishment?” Hachiman raised his eyebrows in a cool manner, looked quite serious.

”Accept it....” Hosen suddenly relaxed his expression and opened his mouth.

”Although you are just a junior, as a senior who has been in this school for a year. I have a piece of advice for you.”

”What?”

”I don’t know how much violence you used to recruit your class. How many students were forced to obey your orders because of violence. But, before you do anything, you’d better think about whether you can bear the consequences. Do you know how much damage your actions have caused to your class?”

”....How many?”

It’s just a mere 100 points in class evaluation. Hosen can totally bear it.

”In the past, Ryuen’s class was punished by student council for fighting, ” Hikigaya-kun seemed to be talking about something irrelevant, ”At that time, they were deducted 400 points. Every month school will deposit living expenses into students’ accounts based on their class evaluation scores, at a rate of X100. So, at that time, Ryuen directly caused a loss of 400 points to his class, and this means that he will receive 1.6 million less points per month, or to give you a big impact of 48 million points in three years.”

”.....” In an instant, Ryuen, who had not yet left, became extremely dazzling.

”Tsk!” Then curled his lips in disdain.

But suddenly he laughed.

”kuku....I, Ryuen Kakeru, have done it, so I admit it. And now, Hosen, you trash, you will also be deducted points, and will definitely lose more than me! I’ve been in this school for a year, and my score is still over 200 points, but you guys. I’m afraid it will become 0 points in the first month!”

”• ? •” Hosen

”???” Nanase

”kukuku....You don’t know! Even though you know school rules, you even have to take a joint exam with us second years. But, what they didn’t tell you that your first-month exclusive behavior test for first-year students is over! That is to say. Although you were only deducted 100 points for hitting someone, you may have been deducted several hundred points in school’s evaluation!”

Ryuen just laughed.

”You bastard!” Hosen came to his senses just now, ”You were really trying to provoke me just now!”

”But you’re the one who’s willing to fall for it, aren’t you?” Ryuen put his hands in his pockets again, even seemed to have gotten his lucky charm back after continuous defeats one after another.

”It’s so funny. You were class representative for first month, and then you made own people go hungry as a result. You ran out of money in just your first month. What a rubbish!” Ryuen immediately turned on his taunting mode. Although he had never confronted Hosen directly, would definitely do it again as long as they were in this school.

Since he had already offended him, it would be better to ridicule to death.

People who come from the same place will definitely not submit to each other, so one day he will either be kicked out of this school or kick Hosen out.

”Damn it!” This time, Hosen rushed towards Ryuen without hesitation.

If he had deliberately choked Ibuki’s neck before, it was just because he thought that since he was in Class B of second grade, might as well act like a rough guy, so he might as well continue to do it so that Ayanokoji would relax his vigilance against him and make a wrong judgment.

Result, now he really want to beat someone up.

”Stop it, Hosen!”

At this time, a tall man with a bowl-cut haircut and wearing a black suit came over.

The other person has a tall body and strong arms.

This is Katsunori Shiba, head teacher of Grade 1 Class D.

“I’m sorry that something like this happened by a student from my class. Although I told him about the school rules several times, I also considered his violation. We will accept the punishment from Student Council. And Hosen, what do you have to say for your attitude now?”

“💢” Hosen.....’Fuck you’

“• ×” Shiba-sensei.

“....I understand.”

He knew very well that his head teacher was just too strong. So, Hosen chose to give in for the time being.

“I’m sorry to trouble you,” Nanase, a good junior who came with Hosen, bowed to second-year student.

Expressed apologies.

Homeroom teacher of first-year D class just now said to Hikigaya and the others.

“I’m Katsunori Shiba, homeroom teacher of first-year Class D. I’m so sorry that my students have caused you trouble.”

’It seems he is very different from Chabashira-sensei in my class.  He is a very humane person. Or that’s what he wants us to think.....’ Human Observer is feeling very energetic today, recording everything with his strange dead eyes.

“I have just started working at this school, and there are many things I don’t understand yet. Well, I’m going back with my class now.”

Shiba-sensei is also very polite.

’Are you a new teacher? Came this year? Very suspicious!’ Hachiman looked at his raised hand in a daze.

Because the other person’s palm is very broad and looks quite powerful.

Although he never participated in any fights, Hachiman learned a little judo under the guidance of his father when he was a child.

’For an ordinary person even with max level skills like Sudo or Hosen, there is absolutely no chance of winning against this Shiba-sensei......’

The first-year students were about to return to classroom after lunch break, but they suddenly stopped when passing by the small blackboard on first floor of teaching building.

Because two members of student council appeared there.

Writing some data on the small blackboard.

They already knew about this small blackboard from their respective class teachers.

After each special exam, evaluation scores of each class would be announced in real time.

This score is related to class ranking and also to living expenses.

Did class evaluation score change so quickly? Didn’t the exam start yet. People thought so at least.

Grade 1,

Class A, 982 points

Class B, 955 points

Class C, 903 points

’....what the hell kind of bullshit score am I looking at?’ Random boy of Class 2-C was very confused and even felt uncomfortable. Some students noticed his disgusted face.

Scores for 1st-Grade Class D were also written down.

166 points.

The total score was 1,000, and 834 points were deducted.

According to information received from class teacher, on 1st of every month school will deposit living expenses based on each class’s class evaluation score x 100.

Now Class D only has 166 points left, which means there will only be 16,000 yen left for pocket expenditure next month.

“• ! •” Random boy of Class 1-D who came with a curious look on his face after witnessing a Senpai acting weird.  ’A cup of instant noodles costs 200 points. Sixteen thousand...how can you live on that? Damn it!’

The first-year students in Class D who witnessed this immediately surrounded Hosen and Nanase.

After receiving news of announcement of evaluation scores, first-year class teachers also informed new students in afternoon that they would undergo a behavioral assessment as usual upon admission.

Yes.....

Although nature of the school was announced in morning, which made people feel at ease, students were not informed there would be a behavioral test in first month.

Then, there was suddenly a lot of information that people didn’t understand, and even those who thought that written examinations for freshmen were easier felt uneasy.

The number of people attending the exchange meeting with Saint Ichinose-senpai suddenly increased dramatically!

xxxxxxx

4:30, Afternoon.

The gym was filled with anxious students, people from Class 1-A to Class 1-D.

“There are so many people coming today....Do we have to serve drinks or something?” Kanzaki from Class C, Grade 2, felt a bit cheap.

“• •” Ichinose who was already on a tough budget.

After confirming that first-year students know essence of school, they are already prepared for number and quality of children that may participate in their exchange meeting, as most of them may be misfits.

Of course, this description is not nice, but it should be kind of person who feels uneasy, has some character flaws, or has poor academic ability who looks for ways to be on the list of top seniors.

However, now it seems that Kanzaki was worrying too much.

Most of students came here.

Moreover, people in her class also helped, and through OA system, they screened out first-year students with academic ability of B- or above, and found there were 83 first-year students with academic ability of B- or above.

Then more than 60 people gathered at scene.

In other words, they knew rules of the exam, and realized that as first-year students they had an advantage, but were still willing to come.

“...I think we should,” Ichinose nodded, even though she felt like it was similar to standing up on election.

She decided to hold this exchange meeting, on one hand because of her saintly mentality, and on other hand she wanted to take this opportunity to accept some students with good academic ability for free.

Their class dropped to C, but everyone’s goal is still to be promoted to A.

’Even though I failed miserably in the last Commander exam, I have now paid off the money I owed to Sakayanagi-san, and no student in class is missing.....’

For Ichinose and others, this was a good start to their career as second-year students.

“I’m representative of 2nd year Class C, Ichinose Honami.”

“As freshmen, you probably don’t know what it mean yet. But this morning your class teacher should have told you the true nature of this school. I think it’s best to quickly select one or two people from your class who you think are trustworthy and reliable to serve as class leaders. For this exam, I think everyone knows rules, and this school holds a special exam every month. So there may be many more such exams in the future.  Of course today, you freshmen have the advantage, but I think my class is also pretty good. And you all brought tablets, so you can check the number of students in my class with academic ability above B--------”

Listening to Ichinose-senpai’s talk, students began to search the OA.

The tablet has a function to arrange according to individual evaluation criteria.

Very quickly.

They found out there were 28 students in 2nd-year Class C with an academic ability of B- or above.

The rest were either C+ or C. There wasn’t a single D.

In other words, most of seniors in Class C of second year are top students.

Even if people were to face them with superb academic ability of D, there would be no danger.

“As class representative, our intention is to welcome students with academic ability B- or above to form a team. Of course, it’s okay if academic ability is lower. We can even accept the restriction of E.”

“However, if the academic ability is low, then we have to bind a student with academic ability A in same class to form a team with us. And if the academic ability is D, we need to bind a student with academic ability B- to form a team with us.”

“And if you are interested in forming a team, you can confirm with Kanzaki-kun next to me and then register.....We will send each other applications to form a partnership. Once the application is approved, team cannot be easily changed, so please consider it carefully before making a decision.”

Although she said this, some students in meeting hall were already moved.

On the other hand, Kanzaki-kun seemed somewhat relieved.

In the Command Tower exam at end of last semester, he, as a class traitor, caused to drop directly from A to C.

Let classmates taste the hardships of society in advance.

Although Ichinose and the others still have Virgin Mary, but have also learned how to find some benefits of being a good person.

At least, you can’t just think about others, have to think about yourself as well.

So, you can still look forward to this cross-grade written examination.
