COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Hachiman felt sympathy for Ichinose and Sakayanagi, but time passed.

Although he is the commander, there are not many available people in class.

Yukimura also responded that he had contacted Katsuragi but failed to win him over.

Of course, No valuable chips were given.

At the same time, he finally realized that he had been watched by several students from Class B for past two days.

Obviously, The fact that he went to see Katsuragi has been exposed, and who has fallen into a certain crisis of trust, while Yukimura has also been noticed by the students of Class B.

In fact, it is right for Yukimura to be the real focus of attention.

Because Hachiman feels that Yukimura is probably the only person in this class who still has ambitions to move up.

But it’s a pity.

The result of final exam was actually predetermined from the beginning.

With this in mind, Hikigaya-kun gets up early on weekend to look for food.

Came down from the dormitory, Since it was already past eight o’clock, he met many unknown students on the way.

’Don’t know him....His face is ridiculous...Never seen this girl before...Wait, I think her uniform is from another school...?’

“What a creep.....”

“.....” Hachiman who mistakenly made eye contact.

Perhaps it was because winter had already arrived, snow had fallen on the school’s artificial island, causing some girls to wear thicker clothes and gloves.

’.....In this situation, isn’t it impossible to hold hands? Of course, it had no effect on me.’ Hikigaya-kun doesn’t believe in love.

“Hey——”

When Hachiman was walking on the snow, he suddenly felt a wave of impact coming from the side and rear.

The force was not strong, but it was like someone making a cute sound.

“S-so c-cold! I don’t like it!” She sounded depressed, but her expression became cute, “I even forgot to bring gloves, and now my hands are cold too!”

As she said this, girl held Hachiman’s hands with her small ones in a very intimate manner.

The boy’s body was hot, and moment they touched she said, “It feels warm.”

“???” Hachiman....’What the hell....?!’

But, he also felt that what she said was not a lie. ’Her hands are really cold. This is type of girl who knows she is cute and will hold hand of the opposite sex when she meets him/her.

Because of cuteness, the other person will not feel rejected, and may even be flattered.....’

The same goes for Hachiman. ’Being treated like this can make you feel flattered....Because she actually did this in school in front of other students. It’s incredible. It will break people’s evaluation of her!’

Not only that, when he came to his senses, Hachiman seemed to have an illusion in his eyes, and for a moment the face of girl in front of him overlapped with those of Kushida and Ichinose.

Because they are same model!

“I’m really flattered, Hoshinomiya-sensei!” Saying very quickly, to get rid of her by telling her she is a teacher, “But in a place like this, I think you can respect yourself a little.....”

“• ×” Chie didn’t like this boy’s words, as if she looks down upon herself, it struck a nerve. Now, she obviously won’t let him go.

Yes, the person who knew that she was cute but did this on purpose was the homeroom teacher of Ichinose’s class - Ms. Hoshinomiya Chie, an ex-student of ANHS, peers with other homeroom teachers.

But, Hikigaya-kun is just a student!

Therefore, such closeness quickly made people alert.

“I knew he was a creepy pervert. This boy stared at my clothes like a molestor! I feel scared!”

’Now, I am your molestor. Why the fuck you still here then? Do you really want to be a victim so desperately?!’ Hachiman had the experience of Chabashira-sensei taking bunny girl photos and sending them to him, and he also knew how hard teachers worked for class competition.

But model in front of him, Chie, gave him a sense of danger.

Because he knew very well this teacher looked like the grown-up Kushida, that is to say, she was the type who said one thing on surface but definitely didn’t think same way in her heart.

“Really? I just want to borrow a little warmth from Hikigaya-kun!” Chie was not as tall as him, so she raised her head slightly.

With her delicate facial features and an expression as if she had been wronged, it is difficult to judge her even though one knows she is acting.

Hoshinomiya Chie.

As the current teacher of Class A, she never interferes too much in harmonious Ichinose, but it only seems that way.

For example, in preferential treatment exam, Ichinose was assigned to rabbit group, which was a bit abnormal.

Therefore, Hachiman also suspected that teacher was a person who was obsessed with class confrontation.

’....Even though she was promoted to Class A, she usually seemed to be in a bad mood. So to speak, her obsession may not be to be promoted to Class A but something else.....According to my understanding of Kushida, although she has a good relationship with Horikita on the surface, she actually rejects Horikita in her heart. Some understand why she does this. Because Kushida is two-faced, but Horikita is consistent.....She is the complete opposite of her, but at the same time... She is also an enviable existence, because it is very difficult to be consistent in what you say and what you do. If we use the analogy of the relationship between Kushida and Horikita, although Hoshinomiya-sensei seems to have a good relationship with Chabashira-sensei, is it possible that... she is actually very dissatisfied with my teacher in her heart? She didn’t want to be promoted to a higher class, but just to suppress her so-called best friend, Sae-chan....’

“…” Surprised by his own thoughts, Hachiman quickly kept quiet.

“Is it because you’re worried that your girlfriend will be jealous?” Chie had no idea that her underwear had been guessed, and she quickly took her hand back.

But it seemed that her hands were rubbing against each other because they were too cold.

“I don’t have a girlfriend....” Hachiman really said the truth, now it depends on such a girl to believe his words or not.....’No, wait should I have said I do, could it make this person back off and leave me?’

“Ah, that’s a shame!” Chie made an angry face, and feels actually disappointed on Hachiman, “Isn’t it the job of high school students to have a romantic relationship, Hikigaya-kun?”

Hoshinomiya Chie seemed to be a chatterbox. After being opened up, she started to make a long talk, “I read a story. In a company, two people lived in a dormitory before, and one of the roommates couldn’t stand the other eating natto every day. He explained it to the other roommate, but he still did what he wanted.”

“So the roommate reported the friction to his supervisor, who was also annoyed by the constant fights caused by the double room, so he changed it into a single one to give everyone enough privacy and space.....After that, was no more noise. At the same, unexpected inter-company romance actually increased.....Because there are no roommates, there will be no obstacles for man to go to woman’s dormitory or for the woman to go to man’s dormitory, so love will naturally arise....And now, isn’t that situation here too? Everyone is in a happy relationship!”

“....Are you talking about Yonro from Shin-chan? It seems like you watched too much cart----”

“…..” Chie who got exposed, her nostrils flared angrily, “Hikigaya-kun!”

“Right.....I am supposed to think about prospect of cross-class romance by hearing your story, right?”

Hachiman did not take up the conversation immediately.

He had already realized that she seemed to have some hidden meaning in her words.

After all, some people like to speak in code, but if other party doesn’t notice it, will be meaningless and she won’t feel good.

“💢” Chie’s beautiful face was now seen having a red like popping on her forehead, ’If you already know it, don’t say stupid things!’

However, this was enough to sound the alarm in Hachiman’s mind.

’Which girls from other classes do I know? Did she discover that Ichinose often went in and out of my dormitory? Although that was because she felt unworthy of my help, so she often came to clean.....But, Hoshinomiya Chie is Ichinose’s homeroom teacher, so it’s impossible for her not to pay attention to her, so she might see through fact that Ichinose is in contact with me....After all, girl is still too pure. She can’t even hide it from people close to her.... She even thinks Hoshinomiya-sensei is a good person.....But it may not only for Ichinose....Probably referring to students in Class D. The most recent exam was Commander’s, and my class was facing B, while Ichinose’s was going on war with Class D.....So, is she now telling me not to help Ryuen’s Class D? Because it’s dangerous. My people could have fought to death with Class B for ranking. But, what if we use some of our strength to help Class D, who can pull Class A down.....And now Sakayanagi has caught up, and Ichinose’s class is in a lot of danger...So does Ms. Hoshinomiya hopes to continue the status of Class A? Therefore, even if it is due to this consideration, it is possible that she would interfere with me....Because it’s not just class struggles among students, but the same can be said for teachers.....Whether it is treatment or dissatisfaction, it will make them fight with each other....Only, As a teacher, don’t you think you are too low to take part in it yourself?’ Moreover, Hachiman felt that analysis was a bit wrong.

He felt that she probably had little interest in class confrontation.

“A love story between different classes——” After thinking for a while, Hachiman replied, “I think it has some merits.”

“Ara~Ara? Don’t you understand very well, hmm?”

“Yes. It would be great if my girlfriend was in another class, preferably a rival class, like B, which my class is facing now. That way, I could ask her to reveal Class B’s secrets to me, and I wouldn’t have to split up staff to do training for the entire project. So it would be convenient and reassuring.....”

Then it’s like a summary, and lot of crappy monologues.

“Now that I think about it, I really want a girlfriend from another class!”

“....” Chie’s smile almost froze. ’Is this person even speaking human language anymore?’

“...Hikigaya-kun, this isn’t love, okay?” Chie-sensei, who almost doubted her own life motto, “This is probably just taking advantage of other person—”

“Aren’t people just using each other every moment?” Hachiman asked back, with an equally pathetic face, “I say it’s using each other, but it’s good enough if I can win in the end. Then I will be responsible for marrying her after getting good grades, so she can live a happy life, right?”

“• ! •” The thin cherry-colored lips opened, but no words came out.

’That doesn’t even make sense!’ Chie felt under a lot of pressure, even trying to manipulate this boy seemed like a pipe-dream to her now.

Just at this moment. A stern voice came from behind.

“What are you doing with students in my class?” That was Chabashira Sae, walking straight ahead on the snow.

She still had her hair in a single ponytail, but her expression was much more severe now, and when she looked at Hoshinomiya Chie, it was as if she was looking at an enemy.

Then she put her body straight between Hachiman and her best friend/worst enemy Chie.
