COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

“Congratulations on becoming Vice President of Student Council.”

Because Hikigaya-kun has a very conspicuous ”Vice President” armband pinned on left sleeve of his shirt.

“This is just because President Sakayanagi thinks highly of me....” After saying his words, glanced at Matsushita casually.

“.....” Tsukishiro, “Never mind. It’s not a big deal anyway. But, I don’t want anyone else to know what you heard here, you know?” his eyes glanced towards a certain orange girl who seemed to be wiping her forehead, other palm over her chest, “Matsushita Chiaki from Class B, Grade 1.”

“I understand. I hear nothing!” Matsushita felt as if she had been pardoned. She quickly took the small bag placed aside, bowed, and trotted away quickly.

“....” Hachiman came here because he saw Matsushita following someone she shouldn’t have, and he also wanted to meet Tsukishiro.

“Chairman Tsukishiro, would you like some beer?” This is a restaurant where he can have his lunch.

“Yes, Because my work is not easy. I need to drink beer to calm down....By the way, Hikigaya-kun, how did you come up with the idea of working with me?”

“I don’t think you want Ayanokoji to drop out of school in the short term. Besides, he is also quite strong, will definitely fight back in various methods....So whether you drop him out and he succeeds or not, I think it will take a long time.....I have no right to stop it, and don’t want to get involved. But I think there must be something I can do.....”

’There are places where you can do it, so you collect points there, right?’ “Hikigaya-kun, do you have any plans for the future?”

He still knew that Hikigaya Hachiman was obsessed with points, which also represented cash.

Tsukishiro is on Ayanokoji Atsuomi’s side, and before him, was actually on Mr. Naoe’s side, who once wanted to participate in the election, and even arranged for Atsuomi to establish White Room in order to increase his own weight.

But unfortunately, Mr. Naoe gave up the election, so WR was also abandoned, but Atsuomi saved the facility.

Mr. Naoe eventually passed away. So after a very careful consideration, Tsukishiro decided to follow Atsuomi.

Hence the current situation.

Although White Room is still in operation, the only truly qualified product is surprisingly the son that Atsuomi has no family affection for.

Now, of course, can’t let that son do whatever he wants.

But when received the news, found that other party had already arrived at the Advanced Nurturing High School which was opposite to WR.

Although, That Man was very angry that Kiyotaka disobeyed his orders and even went to the school in person to ask for him about dropping out, he was rejected.

Then, in order to force Kiyotaka to go back, Tsukishiro was also arranged to come here.

If Kiyotaka was expelled from despised ANHS, it would be a shame.

If Atsuomi wants to use Kiyotaka in the future, he will be covered with a black veil.

The order he received was.

On the surface, Ayanokoji Kiyotaka dropped out of school, but in reality, he was unable to drop out successfully.

And it would be best if Kiyotaka’s lack of emotions could be made up.

“I don’t have any big plans. Right now I just want to accumulate more points and exchange them for cash so that I can have a more stable economic foundation in the future.....”

’Is that so? Then your future is to become son-in-law ofSakayanagi family....’ There is another reason why Tsukishiro would trade with Hikigaya-kun, and that is, boy has a good relationship with girl Arisu, only daughter of Narumori Sakayanagi.

He never remarried after his wife died, so Sakayanagi family assets will probably end up in the hands of Arisu.

However, Arisu’s health was not good and she was even forbidden from doing some sports.

Therefore, when choosing a husband, one should choose a son-in-law who lives with the wife’s family.

So, person in front of Tsukishiro might be future leader of Sakayanagi family.

From this perspective, nothing wrong with working with him.

Because it’s good to establish good relationships in advance.

After having a meal in the restaurant, Hachiman did not stay any longer.

Just when he was walking down the street again, he suddenly noticed a girl running out quickly from a milk tea shop opposite.

This is a very pretty girl who is good at dressing up and has good taste.

She has smooth orange hair and a fashionable temperament.

Chiaki Matsushita.

“You didn’t leave?” Hikigaya-kun pushed up his glasses, which might be a good souvenir for Suzune that he practiced to make her fluster.

“Because, I was scared to death! I almost thought I was going to be killed, corpse mutilated!”

“….” ’Since you know it’s so dangerous, then you shouldn’t go near it!’

“Well, thank you, Hikigaya-kun, you saved me back then, right? I think if you hadn’t shown up then, Chairman would have dealt with me!”

In fact, this should not happen.

After knowing that Chairman had been replaced, Hachiman arranged for Hirata to test the situation.

’That is to say, Hirata was asked to borrow points from Chairman to go outside the school, and reply he received at that time was that he was lend money from other party. From a certain perspective, although Tsukishiro took on the tasks of Ayanokoji’s father, he was still a qualified worker......As Chairman of the board, he should look at issues from identity and perspective of such authority. Then, will not easily abuse their power to expel students. So at most, he could just give her a few warnings.... Mutilation is going too far...But, if this girl continues to be too curious, then bad things will definitely happen to her in the future!’

’Looking at Matsushita’s troubled face, nervous body movements....Isn’t it just a chess piece that comes to your door on its own initiative?’

When he first entered school and was trading with Chabashira-sensei, Hachiman had a deal where a classmate was available for him to investigate and get a 200,000 point reward for each person.

Although it is not needed now. But this girl is quite interesting.

“If you think I saved you. Then can you tell me some news?”

“...Huh?”

“Tell me what you are hiding.”

“Hmm——” She looked around to make sure no one was staring in her direction, “Can we change places?” ’Because we are on the street now, it is easy to be witnessed!’

Chiaki Matsushita, female, 17 years old, was born into a wealthy second-generation family.

She has no worries and only attends this school out of interest.

’My future goal is to grow up healthily and peacefully. I want to be an elegant stewardess or something like that, marry a capable and financially strong person in the future.’

At same time, her parents are also reasonable and well-known people.

“.....” Now Hikigaya-kun and Matsushita came to Kushida-chan’s old place.

Railing-chan!

But there’s no one here now. Perfect for talking about private things.

This is selfish content of Matsushita.

Um.....In the past year, Hachiman has come here more than seventy times, and although he usually hears trash talk from Kushida, some of her speech also contains secrets of his classmates, which is quite incredible.

It must be said in a secluded place.

As a result, it now seems like a bit of a waste of this place.

At that time, when Kushida was tired of kicking the railings and swearing, Hachiman asked her for information about Matsushita.

This is what Kushida replied.

“Meh...she is probably faking, but I don’t think girl is a big deal. Also, sometimes I feel bitch is avoiding me on purpose....so I don’t want to interact with her much either. Why do you care about this anyway? Let’s go back, I am tired!”

Um..This is Kushida-chan’s evaluation.

Now, he has come into contact with Matsushita of all people.

But……This information is really ordinary.

Or it could be said that it is just the normal development of an ordinary girl from a well-off family with abundant capital.

Matsushita probably noticed Hikigaya-kun’s blank expression, so she continued, “My grades are very good, but being too good is like a tree that stands out in forest and will be destroyed by the wind. It’s hard for you to make friends just like Horikita-san....”

This is correct, because people are inherently bad, and there are actually relatively few excellent, so if you want to make some stupid friends, you really can’t distance yourself too much from them.

Otherwise, it’s easy to be envied or taken advantage of. So, Matsushita has released her water in many places.

Just running.

“I used to fool around, but couldn’t do the same during sports festival....”

In previous grade-wide sports, she replaced Suzune, who couldn’t run, and ran the last leg, “After all, it was for the class, and if girls run fast, they will be ignored by students, so it’s okay to show off...But that reminds me, this is all your fault, Hikigaya-kun. If you hadn’t chosen me to be the last one, I wouldn’t have used all my strength!”

Although she was the last player along with president, Nagumo, and seeded players from other classes, she still brought points home.

She really gave it all to contribute.

”But your view on choosing a partner can actually be realized now. We have someone in our class who meets your requirements. So, you can’t blame me!”

“Are you talking about... you?” Chiaki suddenly became a little alert, ’because Hikigaya-kun is very calm now. Although everyone thinks that he is dating Horikita-san, I always feel that he and Ichinose-san have a very special relationship.....Even Sakayanagi-san from Class A likes him. If it was simply charm, it would be a bit too strong, and even be a succubus. So now, I feel some pressure. Could it be that Hikigaya-kun used improper means to get cute girls to come in contact with him?!’

Flick!

“Ow! Itai! Baka!”

“Of course not, you idiot! If you were very strong, or wanted to make a difference in the future, I might be able to offer you a deal, but unfortunately, you don’t meet my standards!”

’What the hell?! Doesn’t this sound like I am not good enough for you?!’ “You are so mean! Impolite! Rude! Bully Hikigaya-kun!” Matsushita was feeling angry now, her earlier tension seemed to have frozen, and moved away with cold air.

“There is no need for you to yell, and make a fuss. I know your level is not very high....Both you, and Yukimura took Mental Maths together. Although you performed well, but was still surpassed by Katsuragi, and in the last 5 questions, there was no way you could beat him. You should know, he is not a genius, but an elite...So, Matsushita Chiaki, although you concealed your strength. But, for an A-class student, you are just average!”

“• •” Chiaki was speechless on suddenly being targeted and looked down upon.

At that time, Yukimura only got first question right, and then she began to turn game on her side.

She tied with Katsuragi on second question, and got both third and fourth questions.

But starting from the terrifying and incomprehensible 5th question, she was no longer able to be of any use.

’At that time, I even actually felt a sense of frustration. But now Hikigaya-kun brought it up again....’

She was pointing now.

“Look, I don’t want to work hard anymore, my goal of Class A has been completed. But I want to be a househusband in the future, so I hope my partner can support me. Of course, I will also pay a little if needed like 20 million yen cost of going to Class A.....She must have a stepping stone to success, so I can live a better life, right?” Hikigaya-kun said without hesitation, not biting any of his bullets, and fired non-stop, leaving Chika even more afraid, “But, Matsushita, I don’t think that even if I give you a stepping stone, you can take off. Because you don’t have the ambition to improve yourself!”

“You are so annoying--!” Matsushita thinks Hikigaya-kun should just stop playing charades. ’This is what he thinks my future will not develop well. But that should be the case. Because of my family’s good financial situation, I didn’t think about further study, but thought that it was enough to be just a little bit better....To be honest, I really didn’t want to continue to work hard to get ahead.’

Exhale! Inhale!

Deep breaths!

“...Okay, so who is it?” she continued to inquire, “The person you said fits my vision of choosing a partner.”

The view on choosing just mentioned is indeed her standard, so she is also a little interested.

Because she herself didn’t realize there was such a person in her class.

“Koenji Rokusuke.”

But this made Matsushita jump up from her spot, almost bashing this boys’s head whose only motive is to be seen as trash talking to her, “No way! No fucking way!”

“Oh yes indeed, he is the only son of a wealthy scholar, and he is already a Director. His parents are wealthy, so he has strong financial strength. And you have seen his strength with two eyes during Island exa....”

“No, no, no, wait - my worldview is about to be crushed, let me wake up!” Matsushita quickly stopped him from continuing any further, and didn’t want to hear it more.

If it complies, it complies. But Koenji Rokusuke. The whole class ignored. Because he is too arrogant and doesn’t like to pay attention to others, even a good angel like Kushida can’t help but be humiliated.

So, other girls didn’t even look at him.

But now, Matsushita felt so angry that she wanted to vomit blood when she heard that Koenji was the one who met her requirements for a partner.

She refused to do that.

“Then think carefully about whether you should continue to muddle along. If you don’t want to work hard and are content with status quo, then your future will be with Koenji or someone who is not as good as him.”

Oh my god! She refuses to accept this kind of thing.

After waiting for Matsushita to pack up her lunch and go back, her classmates discovered that she looked particularly depressed today.

Then, even found that Chiaki actually started studying very seriously next day!
