COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Because Asahina-senpai was mentally prepared, Hachiman received a transfer on his mobile phone in the afternoon.

7 million.

”......” Hachiman.

’Asahina-senpai said that she had 6 million yen given by Nagumo, but now this 1, did it also include money she used to buy positionin student council? Does this mean that you don’t want to owe your childhood sweetheart a penny and want to pay it all back?’

Although he felt that he once again did not understand girls, Hachiman still went to chairman’s office and exchanged the corresponding cash.

This time, school was entrusted to send it out.

Since it wasn’t his own money, Hachiman brought Asahina-senpai with him to witness the entire process, ”It’s done.”

”...Maybe, I’ll have to trouble you in the future.” However, it does not refer to exchanging cash, but that he may be needed to help in class competition in school.

”If I can do it,” Hachiman did not say anything definite, or rather, although he gave Asahina some advice, benefits that would be gained afterwards might be shared by both parties.

Asahina doesn’t have the ability to control the situation like Nagumo, and Kiriyama from Class B was not expelled, so her own doesn’t have much of an advantage.

As for now, Class A has an advantage of 400 points over B.

’400 points? I’m afraid you’ll be surpassed in one exam.....’ And what Hachiman said was not about helping the other party with exam, but... cooperation.

Choosing to be part of class and graduating from Class A is too difficult, but it is still possible to collect 20 million on your own.

Therefore, in exams of the next new semester, if there is a joint exam with seniors, Hachiman feels that it is possible to get cooperation of 3rd-year students and gain points.

By then, Asahina can make money, and he can too.

Win-win. So, rather than helping, Hikigaya-kun prefers to cooperate.

In this way.

After shattering Nagumo’s last hope, Hikigaya-kun’s vacation also arrived.

Previously, he and Ichinose were only ones working in student council, so they were quite busy.

But now, with Katsuragi-san sharing the burden, things suddenly became easier.

Besides, it is vacation time now and students don’t use Office help much, so basically you just need to arrange one or two people to be on duty.

Today, Hikigaya-kun doesn’t need to be, a day off. ’Occasionally, I notice Kamuro-san behaving strangely....’

”What are you doing?”

In the afternoon, Hachiman went to shopping street and met Kamuro-san again.

However, he did not greet her, but stared at her figure, and then saw Kamuro-san first entered a restaurant, but came out shortly after chef served the dishes.

Yes, she came out without eating much. Then, turned around and went to another store.

It’s still same operation, just for the taste.

”Don’t you think this is a waste?” As he watched her head toward 3rd store, Hachiman finally took action.

”It’s not like I want to waste it!” Kamuro-san said with a straight face, she took out a small notebook.

Above is a record form. ”Sakayanagi gave me a for task these 2 days, to eat all the food in shopping street.....”

”Did she receive complaints from students, saying that a certain store was substandard?”

”No, she just wanted to know which restaurant has better food....”

Oh.....This is Miss Sakayanagi’s perverted fetish willfulness.

However, food at some of the restaurants that Sakayanagi treated him to tasted pretty good.

It seemed that someone was doing research, and he happened to meet this person today.

”Then can you give me the results of your hard work, Kamuro-san?”

”???” She immediately looked over with great caution, ”What do you want to do?! This is my investment of time and health!” ’How can it be given to you without charging any fees? Do you think I am a fool?!’

”It’s vacation now. I’ve been busy with work recently, and couldn’t go to some of my classmates’ invitations.”

’...I see. It’s because it’s vacation, so you should enjoy it like ordinary students. Besides, he is not short of money, so Hikigaya can indeed arrange friendly meetings....’

Snort!

”Whatever you want. But I have several more places to go now, and I want to know the results, so you should come and help. I can’t eat anymore.”

”Okay.” Hachiman had no objection. So, two of them spent a busy afternoon.

Kamuro-san’s research lasted for 2 days. Thanks to this survey, he obtained a lot of store lists.

Hachiman planned to invite back all people who had invited him for these holidays.

So if you only know of one or two stores, you need to keep ordering from there.

You will get tired of eating it. So, Kamuro-san was a big help.

”Does this bother you?” Sitting opposite him now is a girl with beautiful long silver hair, delicate features and elegant temperament.

’Because I carry books with me, I am like a literary girl.....’

Hachiman always see her in the library during holidays. She is almost the kind of person who stays grounded.

Her range of interests is also very wide. Last year, library’s loan catalogue had an astonishing 300 books!

’In other words, I am digesting it at the rate of 1 book a day. This does not even include the fact that I usually stay in the library during holidays and only read but not borrow anything.....I am a bona fide bookworm!’

”No, no,” Hiyori said politely, she was a bit late in responding because of her internal monologues, ”I really like reading, but I can’t do it all the time. So I want to change my mood occasionally....”

’Is that so? As long as it doesn’t disturb the other person.’ Of course, Hachiman didn’t understand girls, so he couldn’t tell what she was thinking, ”Yesterday I saw you apply for a book at the library....”

Student council has broad magement authority, and most matters must first be approved by it.

So Hachiman saw that library staff submitted to him names of books that students had spontaneously wanted to purchase during this period.

He noticed that one of the applicants was named Shiina-san.

”Oh, are you--” Hiyori seemed to be having trouble speaking. But she said very quickly, ”It’s actually a book written by my father. It’s not well-known, but if it can attract more readers, I think he might be happy....”

Hachiman decided to borrow the book after it arrived.

”By the way, Hikigaya-kun, have you ever thought about writing at home in the future?”

’Do I want to write at home? But we are already being typed in a lot of fanfics!’ Hachiman looked over in confusion.

”Because Hikigaya-kun’s life goal is to become a househusband, but apart from that, you will have free time. Have you ever thought about being a writer part-time?”

Be a writer? It seems good.

”But, I think... might not be suitable for me,” Because when it comes to writing novels, he would probably do something more pessimistic, such as ”My Youth Romantic Comedy Has Found Something Wrong with Me, As I Expected.”

”That’s not necessarily true. I think Hikigaya-kun is very talented in writing!”

’Woah! Have I already been confirmed? Do I even get readers?’ When Hachiman looked at Shiina-san, he saw that she was staring at him with sparkling eyes, which were full of affirmation.

Forehead. Hiyori seems to be looking forward to his work...

”Well, let’s have a drink here first, and then go to movies together later.”

”The new [Your Name] is very popular right now. If you saw it first, Shinohara, you’ll have something to talk about with Karuizawa and the others....”

Um? Hachiman and Hiyori looked over at the same time.

’Then, I noticed there were two students from Class B of first grade, and both of them were considered to be popular students....Because in rumor incident involving Ichinose, other students were also hurt. Both of them were among the victims. The boy is Ike Kanji, who is said to like fat girls....Other person is Shinohara Satsuki, and she was accused of compensated dating....’ At that time, Hachiman noticed that Ike seemed to have a crush on Shinohara. ’Now, has active development started?’

Ike said that she could have something to talk about with Karuizawa and the others.

Hachiman remembered that he was indeed invited by Karuizawa to watch Your Name yesterday.

As a result, other party has actually seen it.

”Let’s watch a movie...but if I go with you...will it be...” Shinohara seems unprepared.

”I admit that I have done a lot of bad things in the past...But...I will change...I know I can......”

”Ah!” Just when Ike Kanji was about to confess his feelings, he suddenly discovered there was an acquaintance at the next table.

Person sitting is Hikigaya-kun.

He also remembered... that Hikigaya knew about his confession to Kushida-chan and his unfortunate breakup.

And now... he finally saw the truth and felt that it was definitely impossible for Kushida-chan, so he changed to another...

Result, Ike was caught red-handed.

”What do you want to say... Ugh! Why is Hikigaya-kun here!?” Shinohara also noticed the person sitting next.

Then, she also stood up in panic like her possible boyfriend, ”Did you hear everything just now?!”

”No.” Hachiman don’t know any of these 2 people, his ears seemed to have stop working.

”Me neither,” Hiyori also pretended to be deaf, felt like if she wouldn’t, something tragic would befall on her.

”.....” X2

Who would believe that?!

”Don’t misunderstand me!” Shinohara said immediately, pouring cold water on, ”I just met Ike by chance today. We didn’t make an appointment to meet up! Besides, how could I possibly date someone like that?” she even seemed to be trying her best to distance herself from Ike.

”Uh? Right, right.” Although, Ike was surprised, he immediately said, ”How could I be with Shinohara?!”

”Oh, you really think so?!” But this sentence made Shinohara feel very dissatisfied.

”Didn’t you say exactly that?” Ike was puzzled, he couldn’t girl anymore.

”It’s over!” But Shinohara just picked up her bag, stomping her foot and left.

”What the hell?!” Ike was completely left stunned and waited for a minute before running out.

”It seems like we have destroyed a couple in their budding relationship....” Hiyori said with a hint of regret in her voice, but her face didn’t look sad, but naughty even!

She felt ashamed too.

”Yeah, that’s why I don’t think much of dating in school.”

”.....” Hiyori realised she should have kept her mouth shut, and not passed a comment like that. Because she didn’t mean exactly what he interpreted.

’But that’s how Hikigaya-kun is. He only cares about the final result and hopes for a relationship based on marriage.....On this point, I am actually in agreement now. Because if there is no result, it is better not to start at beginning. Otherwise, no matter how sweet the process is, it will be so bitter when you are alone.’

”So...” because the topic of love came up, Hiyori became a little concerned, ”Will Hikigaya-kun choose Ichinose-san or Kushida-san in the end?”

”It should be Ichinose. Although I think either one is fine....”

’But Ichinose-san is more attractive, right? Who can resist her body?’

At night, Hikigaya-kun received a call from Kushida.

”• ! •”
