COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

’Then, go fuck yourself in nuts....’ Hachiman didn’t care about his well-being either now, he was at the roads end with Yukimura.

He walked out of the teaching building, “So, have you been waiting for a long time?”

At bottom of the teaching building, Hachiman took a few steps forward and quickly found Suzune, who was standing alone, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed over her chest.

In winter atmosphere, she seemed a little cold.

After maintaining this posture, she pulled at dark red scarf around her neck.

It can’t be denied.

’Just like what I discovered when I entered school, Horikita Suzune is indeed a real beauty.....’ Under the setting sun, she hunched her body slightly, but her perfect curves once again made people stunned.

When he came to this school, he found a lot of incredibly good-looking girls.

Hachiman still admitted that Suzune was the most beautiful one he had seen so far.

“• ×” Canon 8man....“Well, he’s me...so our tastes must be similar...and she does give vibes like you, Yukinoshita...So, I can’t blame him...”

“What are you trying to say? He doesn’t even know about me yet....”

“In other words, it doesn’t matter what timeline or earth people throw me in....”

Yukinoshita stared at his blank face, boy who was beside her this whole time in theatre, and got chance to view another world.

“I like you in every Universe.”

“Choto matte! Hachiman?!”

“No, you’ll see. Continue the book, Author-san....”

“What are you thinking about?” Suzune noticed Hachiman suddenly stopped moving.

“No, I just think you’re still the same as when we first entered school.”

“...You mean I was an idiot? Yes, Hikigaya-kun, you saw me when I was at my weakest.”

“No,” But Hachiman shook his head gently, “I just think you are still as beautiful as when you first entered school.”

“......Huh? Eh!” Suzune looked at him in surprise, because she had no idea why he was praising her. ’W-what is the purpose of this?’

In fact, there is no purpose, it’s just an admiration for beautiful scenery.

“Let’s go to the shopping street,” Hachiman ignored her extremely shocked face, or a very visible tinge of pink and rosey cheeks, which might have been just of mild cold.

It was time to get out of school, and he asked Suzune to wait for him.

In fact, he also knew that she was probably not satisfied with his arrangement for her.

She was just treated as a backup for the small team of top students to prepare for written examination of Class B.

’But it’s a pity, Horikita....If you want to compete with students in Class B and win directly, you need to become a monster or a cheater. Even though you are excellent, it is difficult to win....But I can’t completely deny a person....For example, If we were to compare how much time one can study in a day, then Horikita would definitely win...But exams definitely can’t last that long.....But if comes down to appearance, Horikita can also win.’

“.....” ’I feel like this battle between Command towers could become something magical.’

So, two of them went to have dinner together.

After dinner, went to the supermarket to replenish supplies.

“This is---” Hachiman was carrying the shopping bag as usual, but he noticed that Suzune took out a dark blue scarf from among the items.

“You were staring at me when we were leaving the teaching building, weren’t you?” Suzune replied a bit meekly, as if she couldn’t meet his gaze, it was a bit cute, “The weather is getting colder now, can’t you even pay attention to yourself? Although I know some boys may be lacking in self-care. But your goal is to be a househusband, so you need to pay attention and prepare for weather changes.....”

Suzune said as if getting a little irritated, even sighting out white clouds, she took out the dark blue scarf.

“.....” Hachiman didn’t think he meant that, but he can only accept Suzune’s understanding. ’I saw her buying a dark blue men’s scarf at the supermarket.....I thought she was going to give it to her brother. But that doesn’t seem to be case now....’

“Look----” Horikita Suzune, who was holding a dark blue scarf, seemed a little embarrassed, “When this month ends, semester will too. In past year, I have received a lot of care from you. So, please don’t reject me.....”

Although she felt a little shy to say it, Suzune raised her head in the end.

She looked over with her radiant eyes.

’Fuck...Don’t use this kind of offensive!’

Hikigaya-kun felt that Suzune clearly wanted to perform well in this exam, but he didn’t give her the chance, which was a bit too much.

’Result, she didn’t think such way, but misunderstood that I felt cold. Horikita then concluded she had grown and should finally reciprocate some favors, so she gave me a scarf....Although I can understand her train of thought. But this scene can easily give peop---’

“Thank you, Horikita.” Only, now he was holding bags in both his left and right hands. So, there was no free hand to receive Suzune’s gift.

“Lower your head a little,” She also noticed his condition, and opened the scarf. It seemed as if she was trying to surround him.

’Um....The weather is quite cold now. I didn’t feel my neck was empty before, but now I feel that it should be protected.....’

“...Right.” Because it was other party’s good intention, Hachiman did not refuse.

So, he lowered his head slightly as girl requested.

“You are so tall,” Suzune seemed to have discovered something that needed attention.

But she just said that.

Hachiman already felt girl’s hand across his neck. Her fingers seemed a little cold, but because they were so close, he could smell more scent than usual.

Suzune’s body has a faint scent of jasmine.

This is probably the smell of a brand new scarf.

“Today is clearly not February 14th yet, how annoying—--”

Because it is the only way from the shopping street to dormitory, so many people are on the road.

Someone has noticed this.

Maybe got mistaken for a couple.

In other words, two people’s current actions are indeed very similar.

“That’s about it, it looks good on you,” Suzune wrapped the scarf around Hachiman’s neck and tested tightness with her fingers.

’She is very good at doing housework....Although, Horikita is not good at interacting with people, it is undeniable that she is very strong in taking care of people....’ Hikigaya-kun updated his evaluation of her.

“Ahem—”

There seemed to be a coughing sound around.

Or rather, a male voice suddenly interrupted them, “Although it’s not a good thing to disturb you, I think it’s better for you to pay attention to the school’s atmosphere.”

Suzune was startled at first when she looked at the place where sound came from.

Because there stood a man wearing glasses. He is serious, but looks somewhat like her.

This is her brother, Horikita Manabu, Student council president. A man who leads an entire class.

At the same time, he is also Horikita Suzune’s older brother.

“N-Nii-----” However, Suzune was so frightened that she couldn’t even say the word “Nii-san.”

Manabu didn’t seem to care either, “I need to ask something from Hikigaya. Can I borrow him from you?”

Pushed up his glasses.

You have to know this is way back to the dormitory from shopping street, and the sudden appearance of Horikita Manabu is indeed stressful.

Hikigaya-kun is sweating a little, ’It is impossible to determine how long Horikita-senpai watched from that position.....’

“I, I understand,” Suzune was indeed still afraid of her brother.

Or say....She finally realized that she had done something very scandalous with a boy just now, but felt like she was caught red-handed by her family.

Suzune is not shameless.

Hikigaya-kun, on the other hand, seemed calm and composed. He placed his shopping bags on a bench nearby and said, “Wait for me here.”

Then he glanced at Suzune and followed the girl’s elder brother.

The distance between two people is neither close nor far.

But Hikigaya-kun wasn’t as calm as he was showing outside, knew that many people would misunderstand his relationship with Suzune, and in order to reduce trouble, he did not explain.

But the scene just now must have been very unusual in the eyes of Suzune’s elder brother.

Hachiman is actually a little stressed right now, wanted to ask. ’How long were you staying there? And how much did you see?’

When Manabu saw Hachiman coming out obediently, he didn’t say anything, but just tightened tie around his neck.

“Bastard will get what he deserves..hahaha!”

This kind of comment didn’t help Hachiman either.

“You two seem to have a pretty good relationship. I saw you guys from the shopping street.....”

Fuck! Fuck! Fu---

“We are friends——” Hachiman noticed a warm feeling coming from the president.

“I went to the sauna, it helps our body to relax and give physical care.”

’Is that so....Consider bathing and sauna as physical health care...Then you have worked really hard, only time and place for you to relax.’ Hachiman’s senses were on full alert to any kind of possible stimuli nearby.

As he said this, Manabu suddenly fell silent and walked ahead.

Hachiman followed the other’s steps.

It took about five minutes to walk.

“Do you have any opinions about my cute little sister?” Manabu finally spoke, because he found that along the way, Hachiman continued to follow him without saying a word.

Just keep a calm attitude and follow like a good boy.

“I’d rather know why you’re looking for me instead of talking about Horikita.....”

But Manabu rarely smiled on hearing this kind of talk, knowing he was on nerves, “I do have something to talk to you about. You are very clear about this....”

In fact, subtext of this sentence is that he did not deliberately go to shopping street to peek at them.

But this brother should have good intentions.

Hachiman felt that his previous guess might have come true.

’Because while walking just now, Horikita Manabu pulled up the collar of his shirt more than once as if to cover his neck, which was a gesture to feel some coolness and keep warm.’

’Horikita Manabu is a student in the third grade class A, and is a tough guy who can lead 39 people.’

’He has always faced every exam in school with great caution, and he knows his importance to the class.’

’He should pay close attention to his body and take a bath when he feels his body may need a rest. And naturally, You can’t catch a cold or get sick easily.....’

Hachiman speculated, that Manabu probably noticed change in weather, so he prepared to buy a scarf in the supermarket...’As a result, he accidentally discovered that cute Horikita and I were also there....Then, he must have seen her buy an extra blue scarf...Then maybe he thought it was for him. And his sister was a bit awkward, so he thought it would take some time to wait for her to give it to him, so he might as well show up in front of her directly.....As a result, when he followed her, found... She was putting a scarf on me....’

Damn it!
