Chapter 149: Chapter 76: Follow-up Issues of the Dream

Due to the matter of this terrible nightmare, Su Jiameng has been somewhat distracted in the following days, not even having the time to check on the restaurant’s business. Fortunately, Su Mo and Changxi are both high-level autonomous intelligent robots, and they will handle these matters well.

It’s rare for the members of the K3 Team to gather together and enter team battle mode. The sharp-eyed few quickly noticed that Su Jiameng’s complexion and mental state weren’t good, resembling someone who had just recovered from a serious illness. Xu Na threw a glance at K3, wanting to know what was wrong with Su Jiameng.

K3 helplessly rolled his eyes; he’s not an all-knowing oracle nor a ubiquitous monitor, how could he know Xiao Meng’s situation? When he saw her a couple of days ago, everything seemed perfectly normal, without any issues.

Lucy joined in the conversation, wondering if Su Jiameng was worried about the restaurant business, since Xiao Meng highly cherishes Credit Points. If the little shop’s business wasn’t good and suffered losses, it’s possible that she would be worried.

However, as soon as this assumption arose, Lucy quickly dismissed it herself. As she knows, quite a few students around have ordered takeout from Xiao Meng’s place, so even if business isn’t booming, it shouldn’t be so bleak that it incurs losses. What’s bothering Xiao Meng?

Being the most composed and mature among the friends, Xu Lei directly asked Su Jiameng without joining the discussion with K3 and the others. Surprisingly, Su Jiameng straightforwardly gave an answer, clutching her hair in a frantic gesture, ”I recently had a terrible nightmare, it appears every time I sleep these past two days, tossing and turning all night without being able to sleep...”

”Having nightmares?” Xu Lei slightly raised his voice, allowing K3 and the others to hear, ”Could it be that you’ve been too busy lately, overthinking too much, leading to temporary exhaustion, poor nutrition, and other issues, causing you to have nightmares at night?”

Thinking about Su Jiameng’s skinny figure, Xu Lei found this quite possible. He felt that if this were the case, Su Jiameng should consume more concentrated nutritional foods, although the taste is quite off-putting, the benefits for the body are indeed undeniable.

”I don’t think that’s the issue...” Su Jiameng said, rubbing her forehead, ”Because the nightmare is too intense, I consulted a doctor. They checked me and said my recent spiritual fluctuations have some issues, probably causing the nightmares to haunt me at night. As for why my spiritual power is acting up, the doctor said... said that I might have encountered something stimulating in reality...”

That doctor is an expert in this field, very knowledgeable and experienced with such matters, yet Su Jiameng still can’t pinpoint the source of the ”stimulus” affecting her spirit. She even mobilized Changxi and Su Mo, but still couldn’t identify the root of the problem.

”Stimulating things?” K3 asked her confusedly, ”Does this mean that something you came into contact with activated related memories in your subconscious, causing abnormal spiritual fluctuations and associated nightmares at night?”

Upon hearing this, Su Jiameng’s mind suddenly flashed back to the spiritual fluctuations she felt on the day she arrived at Qiming Star.

That race-specific spiritual fluctuation, even if she were to traverse twice over, she could never forget. However, the sensation at that time was too brief, she couldn’t confirm whether that spiritual fluctuation was truly real or merely a momentary hallucination...

Since then, she has thoroughly investigated online, and found no traces of the Insect Race, not even the lowest level... Not to mention the galaxies governed by the Human Alliance, other cosmic biological alliances are similar, peaceful and without any similar incidents.

”Perhaps...” Su Jiameng buried her face in her hands, quietly calming herself down.

Since that day with a dream akin to ”prophecy,” the following nightmares did not feature those two youths. Instead, it was constantly scenes of Insect Race ravaging humans and other interstellar species, and countless people striving to resist the Insect Race.

What’s odd to her is that besides those two youths on the battlefield, there weren’t any other Mind Power Users, and though the Insect Race was met with resistance, their advance didn’t halt... wherever the Insect Race went, there was no trace of other life forms apart from them.

After waking up, Su Jiameng thoroughly researched the matter of telekinesis. She had thought about investigating it before, but it was delayed due to various reasons. Now that she’s examined it, the results left her stunned and shocked! There are no Mind Power Users in this world! There’s no telekinesis!

But... but if that’s the case, how should she and the two kids be explained? Her telekinesis exists, and is gradually returning to the level from her previous life, and the two kids also have telekinesis, though not fully awakened, but such a special fluctuation can’t be faked!
