Chapter 124: Chapter 64: How About Doing Business? [Pink 60+]

Not to mention the school cafeteria of the Earth era or Xilena First Affiliated School, even such a formidable institution like Xilena, their student cafeteria only serves nutritional meals, focusing on filling you up rather than taste, as long as you don’t starve, that’s enough. Moreover, many scientists now believe that nutritional compressed food is more scientific and beneficial for human health, so the school cafeteria pays even less attention to food taste.

However, the school isn’t entirely heartless. If a student’s family situation allows it, and you don’t eat at the cafeteria but instead use a domestic robot to prepare food at home, that’s also acceptable. But domestic robots aren’t cheap, and not every student has the spare money to buy them for cooking. K3 and Lucy, however, didn’t worry about this expense; what concerned them was that the robot’s recorded recipes were too monotonous!

No matter how delicious the food is, eating it over and over again for ten or twenty years would make anyone want to puke. K3 was considering whether to update the system and recipes of his domestic robot, but unexpectedly found a gem with Su Jiameng. Without being polite, he immediately asked her for the recipe data. Everyone’s heart might have a glutton inside, and K3 is no exception.

With the option to treat his stomach better and tastier food, he wouldn’t mistreat his precious stomach. Hmm, and he would secretly send a portion to Senior Sister Ai... Last time he saw her, he felt she looked noticeably thinner, definitely because the food was too bland!

Su Jiameng didn’t think it was a big deal and naturally agreed. Seeing this, others also copied the recipe from the table. After eating and drinking, they naturally sat down to chat about some heartfelt topics. Although K3 and Xu Lei are boys, they have a sensitive and careful heart like that of a girl, so treating them as bosom friends isn’t difficult. As long as they don’t discuss period topics, it’s all good!

No matter how real the virtual network is, there’s still a huge distance from reality. K3 and the others felt a bit awkward and cautious when they first saw Su Jiameng, but after a meal of grabbing food, the sense of alienation from virtual to reality was completely dispelled.

Although Su Jiameng appears to be sixteen years old, inside she is an old fellow who has experienced three lifetimes and uses an adult mindset to talk with K3 and the others, with no generational gap. After chatting for a while, the conversation naturally turned to future aspirations.

It’s no surprise for K3 and the others; each one aims to become an Alliance Warrior and joining the Alliance army is a certainty, ”So what about Xiao Meng? What do you want to do in the future? Maybe continue studying after the kids grow up a bit?”

Su Jiameng thought for a moment and said somewhat uncertainly, ”Actually, I’m also a bit troubled by this...”

Compared to a life of constant fighting, she prefers a simple and ordinary life, running a small shop, having two adorable kids around, a cute dog at home, and a few friends visiting now and then... But for the sake of the two kids, it seems she can’t continue living so peacefully, she needs to work hard and earn money... What a dilemma.

Seeing her distress, Xu Lei, who had previously discussed the issue with her, said seriously, ”Actually, Xiao Meng doesn’t need to overthink things. Just go with the flow according to your mood...”

Actually, Xu Lei didn’t fully understand Su Jiameng’s obsession, enjoying such a plain and unremarkable life, yet wanting to strive for a better starting point for the two kids. The former can be said to be her hobby and temperament, while the latter can be attributed to her love for the two kids as a mother. If the two are placed on someone else, it seems nothing unusual.

But for some reason, when it’s on Su Jiameng, there’s an indescribable strangeness and oddity, like a contradiction.

Going with the mood? Su Jiameng looked at her hands and two eggs, thinking somewhat sadly; who wouldn’t want to live freely and as they wish? But often there are things that force you to carry chains, lasting a lifetime. Rather than saying go with the flow, it’s better to say go with fate, and see where it leads.

She had just gathered her scattered thoughts when Xu Lei said, ”These matters are still a bit far off; you can think about them when the kids grow older. Maybe by then, circumstances will be different, and you’ll have a different mindset, solving all difficulties with ease.”

Su Jiameng nodded, saying, ”I hope so.”

K3 and the others felt a bit confused by the conversation, but soon Su Jiameng and Xu Lei steered the topic elsewhere. K3 contentedly stuffed some dessert prepared by Su Mo into his belly and suddenly had an emotional outburst, ”If only we could always eat such delicious food at school in the future, it would be so happy... Xiao Meng, how about you contract a cafeteria at the school? It could benefit humanity!”

Benefiting humanity might be a bit grand, but benefiting this group of students tormented by tasteless school cafeteria food is enough!

Black lines appeared on Su Jiameng’s face, who can tell her when the topic shifted to this place? Contracting a cafeteria is not something she has time for; it’s not like she has too much time and is bored!

Her mocking idea was unexpectedly agreed upon by a few students who suffered from bland food, and even Xu Na said, ”If Xiao Meng really does this, the business would definitely boom. I would gather all my classmates to patronize!”

Lucy thought of another aspect, ”Actually, this idea isn’t bad... Currently, Xiao Meng’s main source of income is the Mecha Fighting Arena and challenge matches, but this isn’t a long-term solution. If the kids are born, Xiao Meng will certainly have to take care of them closely, where will there be so much time for such activities? If she finds another way to make a living... It might not be a bad idea!” (To be continued. If you like this work, please visit Qidian (qidian.com) to vote for recommendation tickets and monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation.
