Chapter 130: Chapter 67: Sought-After Scrap

”Then wait here for a while, he should be back soon.” K3 sat opposite him, pulling up the textbook from his smart brain to prepare for tomorrow’s lesson, chatting idly with the boy.

He suddenly thought of something and asked, ”By the way, Liang, have you found a buyer for this semester’s Energy Block practical course? Or have you decided to give it to the teacher for unified handling?”

The boy named Liang was stuffing pastries into his mouth, his cheeks puffed out. Upon hearing this question, a hint of confusion flashed in his eyes, then he quickly shook his head, chewed a few times, swallowed with a fruit drink, and answered, ”Not yet.”

K3 thought it made sense since the semester had just started and the mecha practical class was scheduled for about a week later. The Energy Block hadn’t been dealt with yet. He could just find a few more people, otherwise, everyone would sign contracts with buyers and no one’s left as ”customers.”

”You hold onto them for now. My partner needs these Energy Blocks, and the purchase price will be higher than those buyers.” K3 explained the situation. Liang nodded, the outcome was even smoother than K3 imagined, ”If that’s the case, then thanks a lot.”

Liang smiled shyly, ”It’s nothing to thank me for, it’s not a big deal. If Senior Qin needs a lot, I can ask a few friendly classmates to help out. It’s a good thing for them too, so I guess they won’t refuse.”

K3 nodded with a smile, liking this junior quite a bit. Despite being shy, somewhat naive in actions, he’s sincere, and once focused, very diligent and responsible—an excellent prospect.

Liang’s dormitory wasn’t in this building, but since they were all mecha students, it wasn’t far away. After devouring a plate of midnight snacks, there was the sound of a door opening at the entrance, and a boy wearing a pine-green school uniform came in with a shoulder bag.

”Senior Su!” Liang rose joyfully, running to the entrance, seeing it was indeed Su Yanjing.

Su Yanjing lifted his head upon hearing his voice, his expression remained indifferent, though a hint of astonishment flashed in his eyes, ”Liang, why are you here?”

”Didn’t we agree to pick up the doll figurine at this time?” Liang took the heavy shoulder bag from him, asking in surprise, ”Senior Su, where did you go to come back at this time?”

He basically returned right on the school’s curfew.

Su Yanjing raised a hand to take off the pine-green blazer and untie the tie while replying, ”Personal business.”

”Oh, got it.” Liang was used to this senior’s concise way of speaking. The earlier phrase, ”Liang, why are you here?” with nine characters and two punctuation marks, was already considered a long sentence from him.

”Wait here, I’ll get it.” Ignoring K3 who was studying hard, Su Yanjing got up, went to his room, and brought out a large box.

”Senior Su’s craftsmanship is really good, these dolls are even more delicate than SOSO Girl’s figurines.” Liang was a bit surprised after taking a quick look at the two dolls he made. He knew this senior was skilled in crafts, but didn’t expect him to be this adept.

SOSO Girl is a very well-known figurine brand that releases several limited edition dolls every year, each with a ridiculously high price. They do accept custom orders, but custom dolls are more expensive.

While preparing gifts, Liang considered buying SOSO Girl figurines but was deterred by the high prices.

Given his family background, he could afford one, but his pocket money was limited—he could only look without buying, or else his wallet would be cremated.

By chance, Qin Mo revealed that the seemingly cold, taciturn Senior Su Yanjing was a craft enthusiast, skilled at making various dolls, piquing his interest.

As they say, actions speak louder than words, so he straightforwardly asked Yanjing to make two chibi dolls based on the photos he provided. If Qin Chou or Zhang Yiqi were here, they would surely recognize whose hand-holding cloth dolls these were.

Liang knew his elder sister was an incurable late-stage victim of rotten fandom, and nothing would outweigh such a suggestive gift. Wasn’t she always thinking of turning her fiancé crooked? This spicy gift ought to be up to the task.

Having packed up the gift, Liang planned to buy a nice gift box tomorrow and dress up the dolls properly. Su Yanjing’s floor was very high, and though Liang’s dormitory wasn’t far, it required some travel time.

K3 turned to Su Yanjing for Liang’s safety, saying, ”It’s not safe out at night, Yanjing, please escort Liang back. Remember to return soon, don’t loiter outside.”

Su Yanjing had just undone two buttons on his shirt, wanting to take a good shower and relax his tired body. Hearing Qin Mo’s words, he quietly looked at K3 for a while, then shifted his gaze to the tea table filled with midnight snacks, finally silently patting the stunned junior Liang, saying, ”Don’t dawdle, let’s go.”

Liang’s physical ability was only B-level, considered part of the ”physically weak” crowd by the two, so safely sending him back to his dormitory was something a responsible senior should do. Since they were piloting a flying device, Liang simply climbed back into his dorm room through the window, not forgetting to ask, ”Senior Su, have you thought about how to deal with the discarded Energy Blocks from practical class?”

Su Yanjing asked with his eyes, to which Liang added, ”Senior Qin seems to need these Energy Blocks.” (To be continued.
