Chapter 134: Chapter 69: Secondary Energy Technology (Part 2)

As he and his friends graduated and went to Xilena Academy or other top ten institutions, this workshop was left idle, still containing many robot parts...

Of course, since many years have passed, and no one has cleaned that place, it’s likely accumulated quite a bit of dust by now.

Faslo’s intention was simple; if Su Jiameng was interested, she could go and take a look at that place.

The purchase price of the shop is negotiable, and if the deal is pleasant, the robot parts inside could be considered as a freebie. Although those parts have been there for seven or eight years since completion, they were stored quite well and can still be used.

Su Jiameng was naturally delighted, but only Lucy had reservations, feeling it wasn’t reliable. Parts from seven or eight years ago, considering the average lifespan of a robot, might only last a few more years before retiring to the recycling plant, not to mention these items have been idle for so many years.

Faslo seemed to be trying hard to squeeze out a smile, to appear more approachable. However, his smile was really not quite there; forcing it made it rather peculiar, ”You can go take a look first, and if it doesn’t work out, we’ll talk later. I know a few juniors at Qiming Star; if Miss Su needs help, she can contact them. Those juniors have decent personalities and are quite meticulous in their work.”

Su Jiameng nodded. Initially, she thought getting some help with system programming would be nice, but unexpectedly, she gained so much more, far exceeding expectations. After discussing these matters, Faslo seemed to want to say something more to Su Jiameng but didn’t know how to start, appearing inexplicably conflicted.

The one who knows the old brother best is Lucy. As a girl who grew up watching her elder brother, she knew very well his bad temper.

Having patiently talked so much about things unrelated to his field, he must be feeling quite impatient by now. With the important matters settled, it should be time to give him room to discuss professional issues, right? Like mecha shooting, or the mecha energy problem discussed earlier...

Lucy suppressed her laughter and whispered a few words to Su Jiameng. Seeing the look of sudden realization on her face, then looking at her own brother’s half-year-long constipated expression of internal struggle, she waved amusingly, ”You guys go ahead and talk; I’m going to buy some snacks...”

Faslo studied design, and Snow studied system programming. Although their specialties were not aligned, both were top students in the field of mechas, making it not hard to find a common topic. The mecha energy debated today was one of them.

Su Jiameng listened to their respective viewpoints, her eyes revealing a hint of surprise. This problem they were discussing happened to be one of the core challenges of secondary energy technology. If solved, that technology could initially reveal its formidable and savage nature.

As someone who had witnessed the most intense wars between the Insect Race and other cosmic races, Su Jiameng knew very well what role secondary energy technology played in a war lasting over a hundred years, perhaps even longer. Although according to current technology, even if all core challenges were genuinely solved, it could only touch upon the introductory state of this technology, which was already remarkable.

It should be known that complete secondary energy technology was truly perfected and matured thanks to years of effort from all the scientists in her world. Once deployed on the battlefield, it showed significant effects, with the Alliance uniting to push back the Insect Race across dozens of stars. Since then, the war has been in a state of stalemate. It can be said that this technology is very powerful.

Initially, Su Jiameng just wanted to bring out the preliminary secondary energy technology for profit, but considering various reasons, she eventually dismissed the idea. As for presenting the complete secondary energy technology, she never even considered it.

If the preliminary secondary energy technology could bring her unimaginable profits, instantly buying a dozen or so prosperous planets, and the subsequent profits would explode exponentially, but that’s merely for profit. Yet the complete secondary energy technology...

It would place the entire Human Alliance on a razor’s edge, possibly triggering a forceful war between the Human Alliance and other races.

In the last life, as soon as that technology came out, it was thrown into battle; all the Racial Alliance joined forces with determination against the Insect Race.

This technology would only help them find more life opportunities, allowing more warriors to survive the battlefield, sparing more children from the risk of family destruction. But now, in this peaceful environment... to be a gentleman with a jade is a crime; how could the Human Alliance enjoy it alone?

Neither Snow nor Faslo knew what Su Jiameng was thinking. They were waiting to see if the other could give a brilliant insight to enlighten them. Su Jiameng did not disappoint them, after a slight furrow of her brows, she picked up a pen and swiftly wrote down a dozen conversion and calculation formulas. Snow and Faslo, not being fools, watched as their eyes became bright as ever.

”The demands mechas place on energy are not just about quantity; the purity and compatibility of the energy are also highly demanding. Ordinarily, lower-level Energy Blocks can support basic mecha operations already difficult; after charging, the level drops, making it completely unsuitable for mecha operation... However, whatever energy it is, in essence, it’s the same... Look at this formula...”

The reason secondary energy technology is so sharp is that it breaks the supreme theorem that mechas must use high-level energy to operate, turning all energy forms into power sources for mechas.

The higher the mecha level, the more stringent the energy requirements. This is also why the cost of mechas is so high, and the real universal rate is too low, being one of the main reasons. If the cost of energy is reduced, the entire cost of the mecha would at least reduce by three to five to six-tenths! (To be continued.
