From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!

Chapter 102: Chapter 53: The Waiter from Xilena

”Probably... outside.” K3, this guy, usually loves helping others, but when it matters, he’s as slippery as they come. As they say, ’better them than me,’ and he’s all about redirecting trouble! After speaking, he even raised his hand to point at the door, ”Xiao Meng, you should be able to see it if you go out. Want me to open the door for you?”

Su Jiameng showed a look of realization, then happily patted his shoulder with such force that it almost dislocated his shoulder. She said, ”Boss Qin, you’re such a good person, I’ll let you listen to music for free in the future.”

K3 covered his shoulder with one hand, secretly inhaling sharply. Is this punishment for redirecting trouble? Xiao Meng was too rough, just a little less force wouldn’t have killed her! But letting him listen to music for free? Forget it, he’d like to live a few more years.

Su Jiameng confidently opened the door, and K3, despite the pain, looked up to see a gentle figure standing at the door. His heart skipped a beat. Although he desperately wished Senior Sister Ai had come to the rescue, it wasn’t supposed to be now!

”Are you... a partner of the Momo team?” Ai Yixue received the signal, knew Qin Mo was in trouble, and hurriedly put down her tasks to come to the rescue. Fortunately, she remembered the room where K3 and the others often gathered, so she didn’t get lost.

”Momo?” Su Jiameng repeated in confusion, seemingly not recognizing this person in her mind. She turned and asked K3 and the others, ”Do we have a girl named Momo here? Nana, could it be that you have a girl named Momo?”

K3’s expression stiffened, Xu Na chuckled, realizing that Su Jiameng not only became more passionate when drunk but also a bit of a rascal.

She even teased people right in front of others, knowing full well there’s no ’girl named Momo’ in this room, yet still pretended to ask innocently. As expected, after getting a negative response, Su Jiameng leaned against the side of the door with a sly smile, showing eight gleaming white teeth, and drawled, ”Oh my, the pretty lady’s not going to find who she’s looking for here.”

Ai Yixue, through the gap, already knew K3 was inside, and she also smelled the strong scent of alcohol on Su Jiameng, knowing this person was quite drunk... Of course, she didn’t dare confirm whether the other was genuinely drunk or just pretending to make things difficult.

After all, Su Jiameng’s eyes were extremely clear, not at all like the muddled and hazy eyes of a drunk person.

”I’m looking for Qin Mo.” Ai Yixue said patiently, the gentle smile on her face slightly stiff.

”Qin Mo? So the Momo you’re looking for is Boss Qin...” Only then did Su Jiameng generously make way for her to enter, adding at the end, ”Hey, Boss Qin, there’s a super hot little beauty here to see you, clean yourself up and come out to entertain!”

K3 now felt like facepalming and lamenting. How could Xiao Meng be like a different person when drunk? Not to mention other things, just this demeanor alone became several times worse. Entertaining... his relationship with Senior Sister Ai hadn’t reached that level yet, okay?

”Ahem, Senior Sister Ai, you’re here.” K3, under the teasing gazes of Xu Na and the others, stepped forward, probably because of the alcohol, with two small blushing spots on his face. As Ai Yixue described, K3 was like a little green fruit.

”Hmm, did you encounter some trouble?” Ai Yixue calmly surveyed the room, noticing that the wall defenses had been dismantled by someone, her brow slightly furrowed. Could it be that a fight happened here? If so, it seemed hard to justify. Apart from the dismantled defensive material, the rest of the place was neat, with no traces of a fight.

”Uh, it’s nothing much, just Xiao Meng...” K3 was about to explain and briefly introduce Su Jiameng to Ai Yixue when he found that the drunken person was missing, ”Where’s Xiao Meng? Wasn’t she standing here just now? Nana, where did Xiao Meng go?”

Xu Na shrugged and pointed toward the door, ”She just went out, didn’t you see?”

K3 felt a bit embarrassed, his attention had been on Ai Yixue earlier, and he forgot about Su Jiameng. Unexpectedly, in that short moment, she disappeared. Normally, he wouldn’t be worried, but the problem was... Xiao Meng was completely drunk right now! Who knows if she’d choose to log off directly or wander around putting on a ’concert’?

”She seems quite drunk, and if she runs around, it could cause trouble.” Ai Yixue adjusted her glasses with a soft smile and suggested, ”I think she hasn’t gone far yet, perhaps we should go out and get her back?”

K3 nodded. Most of the people playing around in Nocturnal Song City had some background, and if Xiao Meng accidentally provoked someone... She wouldn’t suffer on the surface, but there’s no guarantee they wouldn’t cause her trouble in real life.

It’s precisely those worries K3 had that tend to come true. She left the room, took a few turns, and couldn’t find the ’concert audience.’ Wanting to go back to ask K3 and the others where she went, she frustratingly found herself lost...

”Hmm... How did I get here before...” Su Jiameng muttered quietly to herself, noticing the scene before her seemed to be doubling, with the earth and sky both swaying. She propped herself against the wall with one hand while shaking her head, ”Strange, is there an earthquake?”

After staggering a few more steps, she saw someone dressed as a waiter ahead and signaled him over with a wave. ”Let me ask you, do you know how to get to the VIP... um, 9763?” Su Jiameng tried hard to remember but could only recall those numbers and forgot the sequence, so she randomly put them together, hoping for a stroke of luck to get it right

”VIP9763?” The waiter paused, a touch of surprise flashing across his refined face. Looking at Su Jiameng’s attire, she didn’t seem like someone who could access such a high-level VIP room, plus he remembered there was a rather messy gathering scheduled in that room today.

”Mm... it should be this place.” Su Jiameng suddenly smiled, ”I need to go there, how do I get there?”

The waiter didn’t doubt much and carefully explained the route to Su Jiameng, detailing everything to watch out for at different points. Su Jiameng nodded throughout the explanation, finally patting his shoulder gratefully, using more force than when she patted K3. Despite this, the waiter’s face remained unchanged, continuing with a gentle smile, ”It’s part of my job.”

Following the route she was given, Su Jiameng headed to VIP9763, while the waiter continued delivering drinks to VIP3674, a room coincidentally close to where K3 and his group were staying.

”Gu Ningxuan, we’re alumni, and you’re bringing the stuff over so late. Are you doing this on purpose?” The waiter politely pressed a button outside, notifying the guests inside. The door opened to reveal a long-haired young man in a white shirt and beige jacket, a disdainful smile on his face, ”Better be careful about getting complaints...”

Called Gu Ningxuan, the waiter’s expression changed slightly as he bypassed the one blocking him as if he hadn’t seen him, only to be stopped by the outstretched hand, ”Gu Ningxuan, if you don’t want to lose this job again, you’d better stop acting like a senior here!”

Gu Ningxuan coldly stared at the opposing hand, speaking with indifference, ”If you don’t want to be crippled in reality, don’t make things difficult for others here. I’d rather see you dead than lose this job! Hurting others for a moment of thrill, be careful you end up at a crematorium!”

With the waiter’s words, the lively atmosphere in the room stiffened, as everyone looked away from his gaze. Gu Ningxuan elegantly placed the orders down, abiding by the rules as if these juniors had never tried to trouble him, seemingly used to such scenes.

Once Gu Ningxuan left, the temporarily subdued fellows resumed taunting behind his back, though their eyes held traces of apprehension and slight fear. Although they were freshmen who had just entered Xilena Academy this year, they had heard of Gu Ningxuan. Once a prodigy, he became a disgrace, the only person in a century to be forcibly expelled, with the reason being unknown, akin to a taboo and humiliation.

They wondered where he went after being expelled, not expecting to find him working in Nocturnal Song City...

”Actually... I think there’s no need for us to fear him at all, right?” At this moment, a girl in a beige school uniform and gray-and-white plaid skirt hesitated to speak up in the room, ”He’s not in Xilena anymore...”

So, there’s no need to worry about him seeking revenge in reality. Being a student expelled from Xilena, Gu Ningxuan’s residence was long removed from Xilena, and he couldn’t stay on Xilena Planet even for a moment.

And they were students, currently staying in the student dormitories.

Even though they understood they should not fear Gu Ningxuan, the records he set and the achievements he earned in Xilena made it hard not to fear. After all, no one expected someone seemingly on a smooth path to suddenly fall from grace.

Gu Ningxuan was a disgrace to Xilena, but the echoes of his former glory lingered.

Reminded by the girl, the others came to realize it. The person who blocked Gu Ningxuan led with a suggestion, ”How about... we order some more drinks and specifically request him to deliver them, just like before?”

With his suggestion, no one in the room dared to agree. There seemed to be some conflict between Gu Ningxuan and Xilena Academy, and if he was provoked, as he said, he would only lose a job, but everyone in the room would suffer at his hands... even if it was in the virtual network, where the pain was still felt, who would want to get beaten for nothing?

As Gu Ningxuan left the room, he was called from behind, turning to see it was K3 and his group.

”Have you seen a girl in a shirt and shorts around sixteen before...” (To be continued. If you like this work, feel free to vote for it on Qidian (qidian.com) with your recommended tickets or monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please read on m.qidian.com.)
