Chapter 127: Chapter 66: Secondhand Energy

”I’ve learned system programming. If it’s a relatively simple, low-level program, I can handle it myself!” As soon as Su Jiameng said this, K3 was immediately at a loss for words. They thought buying a low-level system was stingy enough, but they didn’t expect Xiao Meng to want to write it herself.

Lucy weakly raised her hand and said, ”Actually, I know a pretty good senior, a master in system programming... If we ask him for help, it might be better... And the fee for his help is very low...”

Considering relationships, asking him to write a program might only cost as much as a low-level system... If he’s in a good mood, seeing that we’re all neighbors, he might do it for free.

To be honest, Lucy believes Su Jiameng is great at driving mechas, great at fighting, and great at provoking others’ anger... But that doesn’t mean she’s also great at writing programs!

Writing an intelligent brain system is no joke! If the system she writes has a problem, those house robots could turn delicious food into poison or suddenly go crazy and tear off their limbs to throw into the pot...

Thinking of that embarrassing scene, Lucy firmly insists on stopping Su Jiameng from doing it herself!

Su Jiameng opened her mouth but had not yet refused when Lucy interrupted, ”Don’t worry, leave this to that guy, and he’ll handle it perfectly. After solving the core system problem, we can discuss the limb parts... What price range does Xiao Meng want?”

Su Jiameng was momentarily stunned and said, embarrassed, ”I have no idea about these things, so what price range... It’s really hard to say.”

Upon hearing this, Lucy seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. Honestly, she’s really afraid that Su Jiameng would say she knows a bit about forging parts and wants to personally handle and refine them... If that were the case, she’d be spitting blood.

The food made by a robots with no character, who would eat it with peace of mind! At least Lucy herself doesn’t have that confidence! Seeing Xiao Meng’s uncertain look, she said boldly, ”Xiao Meng, do you remember I told you before that my clumsy brother studied design?”

Su Jiameng thought about it seriously, shook her head, and said, ”I know your second uncle is talented in that area, but your brother... You seem to have never mentioned his situation, so I don’t understand. Why, can he help make limb parts?”

Lucy silently felt a black line in her heart. Asking her proud brother to handle such simple limb parts, he might turn and leave in anger. Although the guy always has a poker face, he’s a genius student at Xilena Design College! Such childish stuff is terribly insulting to his intelligence!

Of course, in Lucy’s view, her brother really doesn’t have much brains. What’s the use of high intelligence when all he thinks about every day are mecha design maps or parts diagrams, and his social circle is filled with people obsessed with those things!!

Most importantly, all those people are darned guys! Not a single girl around! Even a tomboy would be better than a bunch of big guys.

Lucy has always quietly complained that at this rate, if her brother ever announced at breakfast that he’s coming out with some buddy, she wouldn’t be surprised at all! In the future interstellar setting, marriage is quite open.

Whether it’s a man marrying a woman or a man marrying a man, or even interspecies unions, as long as both backgrounds are clean and there’s no criminal record, registering the marriage is very simple. But that doesn’t mean most people can accept two men getting married!

Especially in a family like Lucy’s, if her brother ended up coming out, their dad would probably give him a ’metal peanut’! To be honest, Lucy doesn’t like that her brother chose the design department...

Being in a department full of nearly all men is bad enough, and her brother, being utterly obsessed with design, has poured all his emotional intelligence into intelligence, making him highly intelligent but lacking terribly in emotional intelligence, to the point he hasn’t had a girlfriend yet.

To cut a long story short, due to her brother’s social circle, Lucy indirectly knows some people related to that field. Some are students from other Ten Great Universities, and some are from Xilena. The neighbor Lucy mentioned is a Xilena student, allegedly a good buddy of her brother, always inseparable from each other, which gives her a toothache just watching.
