Chapter 147: Chapter 76: The Aftermath of the Dream

Because of this terrifying nightmare, Su Jiameng was in a daze for the next few days, leaving her no time to tend to the restaurant business. Fortunately, Su Mo and Changxi are high-level autonomous intelligent robots, and they can take care of these matters well.

The K3 Team members rarely gathered to initiate team battle mode, and those with sharp eyes noticed that Su Jiameng looked unwell both physically and mentally, as if she had just recovered from a serious illness. Xu Na winked at K3, wanting to know what happened to Su Jiameng.

K3 rolled his eyes helplessly; he wasn’t an oracle or an omnipresent monitor—how could he know what was going on with Xiao Meng? Everything seemed perfectly normal when he saw her just a few days ago.

Lucy joined the eye-exchange chat team, thinking Su Jiameng was worried about the restaurant. After all, Xiao Meng was very fond of Credit Points, and if the shop’s business weren’t good and lost money, it would make sense for her to be worried.

However, this hypothesis was quickly dismissed by Lucy herself. As far as she knew, quite a few classmates ordered takeout from Xiao Meng’s place. Even if the business wasn’t booming, it shouldn’t be so bad as to incur losses. What was Xiao Meng worried about?

As the most steady and composed of the group of friends, Xu Lei directly asked Su Jiameng without joining K3’s discussion. Surprisingly, Su Jiameng straightforwardly replied. She clawed her hair in a frantic motion, ”I recently had a terrible nightmare, which recurs every time I sleep over the last few nights, tossing and turning so much that I can’t sleep...”

”A nightmare?” Xu Lei raised his voice so that K3 and the others could hear, ”Could it be that lately there’s been too much going on, and with excessive worries and being unwell, your nutrition can’t keep up... causing you to have nightmares?”

Looking at Su Jiameng’s skinny figure, Xu Lei thought this was quite possible. He figured that if this were true, Su Jiameng should eat more concentrated nutritional foods. Although the taste is terrible, the benefits to the body are undeniable.

”That’s probably not the issue...” Su Jiameng said, rubbing her forehead. ”Because the nightmares were so severe, I consulted a doctor, and they examined me and said I had some issues with my recent spirit wave, which is probably why I keep having nightmares at night. As for why my spiritual power had problems, the doctor said it might be because I came into contact with something stimulating in reality...”

The doctor was an expert in this field and had a lot of experience dealing with these issues, but Su Jiameng still couldn’t find the source of what was ”stimulating” her spirit. She even deployed Changxi and Su Mo, yet the root of the problem remained unfound.

”Stimulating things?” K3 asked her, puzzled. ”Does that mean that whatever you came into contact with activated related memories in your subconscious, causing your spiritual power to fluctuate and trigger these related nightmares?”

At these words, a flash of the spirit wave Su Jiameng felt the day she arrived on Qiming Star suddenly crossed her mind.

That race-specific spirit wave, she couldn’t forget it even if she traveled through time twice. However, the feeling was too brief, and she couldn’t determine if the spirit wave truly existed or if it was a momentary illusion...

Since then, she investigated thoroughly online and found no traces of the Insect Race, not even the lowest level... In the star systems governed by the Human Alliance or any other universal biological alliances, everything was calm, with no similar incidents whatsoever.

”Maybe...” Su Jiameng buried her face in her hands, quietly calming her emotions.

Since that day’s dream resembling a ”prophecy,” the subsequent nightmares no longer featured those two teenagers. Instead, they were full of images of the Insect Race ravaging humans and other interstellar beings, and countless individuals struggling to resist the Insect Race.

But what puzzled her was that aside from those two teenagers, there were no other Mind Power Users on the battlefield. Although the Insect Race faced resistance, their advance didn’t halt... Wherever the Insect Race passed, there was no other form of life except for them.

Upon waking up, Su Jiameng investigated telekinesis matters thoroughly. She had thought of doing this before, but various things had delayed her. Now that she checked, the results shocked her! There were no Mind Power Users in this world! No telekinesis!

But... how could that be, since she and those two children existed? Her telekinesis existed and was gradually returning to the level of her previous life, and the children also had telekinesis. Although it hadn’t fully awakened, that special wave couldn’t be fake!
