Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Typhon didn’t even bother to respond to Gaia’s words, just roared and kept swinging his arms, wanting to tear apart any enemies daring to stand in front of him... Luckily, the Beastmen weren’t foolish, and they chose to teleport back to the city the moment Ellie disappeared.

Although they left behind many corpses, at least the main force was preserved.

Just as the Undead Tribe here was also too lazy to fight them... Those left were all cheering for their own Night Butterfly, encouraging her to keep going.

Hearing those somewhat unified slogans that were a bit too much like birth-encouraging chants, Hill found it a bit unbelievable... Hmm, even with numbers exceeding tens of billions, the Interstellar Society still seems quite short of people!

Apparently, children from the Interstellar Society obviously love themselves more.

They don’t consider inheritances; they only consider love, but love is ever-changing, so everyone is quite cautious.

If they’re not truly long-time partners, it seems they’re not very willing to have children.

Hill shook his head and tilted his head, trying to listen to the noises of the main battlefield.

After Asmodier brought Typhon out, he seemed to have gone silent.

He only made Typhon fight against Gaia, who was blocking the way to the child.

Gaia, of course, understood who the most dangerous one was, so she kept trying to use various means to stir the rainbow bridge surrounding her, but every time she was distracted, she would receive a heavy blow, her body already drenched in blood, looking truly miserable.

Typhon’s nature inherently leaned more towards the beastly side; this was the real reason why the gods of Olympia, despite feeling secretly pleased to see Zeus chased into hiding, still all came out to help.

Otherwise, many Greek gods would rather fall into misfortune with Zeus just to see him suffer another day.

For example, Athena and Artemis—it was normal for them to be defeated, but the speed was a bit unusually quick.

These two should have been among the gods of Greece who, despite being slack and lacking patience, were relatively persistent.

Speaking of character, not mentioning it, they should be more or less on par with the gods of Toril~

So when people heard about the Greek gods’ ending, no one found it strange that these two were among the gods who ended up soberly alive in Heavenly Mountain.

But once Zeus was in trouble, Typhon fully unleashed his beastly nature... And by then, Gaia was already happily finding ways to rescue Cronos, who was imprisoned in the Hell’s Abyss, completely ignoring whatever Typhon was doing.

Perhaps it’s because she felt all those other deities were responsible for Cronos’s death, none of them were innocent.

Even if they were innocent, it didn’t matter; after all, they enjoyed the benefits given by Zeus, didn’t they?

Without the hand holding the rope tied to the nose ring of the raging beast, Typhon naturally followed his beastly logic.

The entire Greek world was torn upside down by him; neither people nor gods could live well, even the beasts had no way to survive.

So those deities came up with a plan, letting Zeus’s minion Hermes handle some small troubles affecting Zeus’s power, which finally sealed the unruly Typhon.

At this time, Gaia didn’t even know what was happening, she was just trying hard to resurrect Cronos... Anyone who saw what happened during that period of Aesces could guess that during that time, she indeed found a way, very likely a method Cronos himself devised.

Otherwise, with Gaia’s illogical mind, she couldn’t have achieved such a high completion rate, but always felt something was wrong... It was like a process with an incorrect step, she simply didn’t know how to fix it.

Even though he hadn’t seen it, just from the scenes he’d heard, Hill was quite happy... Tsk, those who deserve to die will certainly die, it’s always a perfect outcome.

Judging by her current rigid and irrational response, Gaia really can only press the start button and then rely on fate to take her.

So from this moment on, what William and the God of Time and Space truly wanted to know had already fallen into their hands.

For Cronos to be born, there indeed must be something related to Uranus.

Therefore, the God of Time and Space being named Cronos was not an accident, nor was it due to confusion with the other Greek god of time, Chronos.

Uranus did it on purpose.

His soul and divinity, although shattered to a certain degree, were still the sky of Greece... truly in a physical sense.

Thus, the destruction of that world of the Greek Gods was the greatest crisis for him, whereas Gaia’s divine nature, having been divided by Zeus into many divinities and divinities, only needed to cling tightly to the Abyssal Hell to survive.

Uranus, however, couldn’t rely on his own strength to separate from the sky and flee with the other deities.

So he chose to shatter himself even more, not only increasing his chances of resurrection but also avoiding Cronos, who would try to use him again to be born.

The only flaw was that an event like the God of Time and Space in Teraxil might occur.

When the soul’s weight and quality are less than the opponent’s, it will only be devoured in return.

But Uranus probably didn’t care about these matters either.

Although Hill suspected there might still be things he didn’t know, the reason William and the God of Time and Space were so focused on Aesces was largely due to this.

They needed to confirm whether the God of Time and Space was chosen by the River of Time and Space in Teraxil because of someone’s soul.

This is very important.

The Space-time Law of Teraxil is currently only controlled in the hands of the God of Time and Space himself; he certainly doesn’t hope for a day when some soul-similar fellow comes to snatch it away from him.

Just like when Shaer attempted to devour Xaries.

Even though they could indeed fight back and don’t feel they’d lose, knowing about such a person’s existence makes the process entirely different.

Luckily, that wasn’t the case.

If it really had something to do with Uranus’s soul, the devil aspect of the soul the God of Time and Space had cut off wouldn’t be so clean... Seeing the current situation, there would inevitably be some reaction.

Or rather, the God of Time and Space would have to witness Cronos’s birth to determine if there was truly something wrong with his soul.

Hill gently picked up the Crystal Cup, toasted to the sky, and drank it in one go with a satisfied gulp.

To him, this was also genuinely good news.

At least Teraxil wouldn’t encounter any significant problems because of this.

”Huh?” Purwell’s shout made him involuntarily turn his head to look over.

Fortunately, the huge screen lay beneath, Hill saw only small light orbs: ”What are you doing? What did you see?”

”Rose seems to have come out.” Purwell focused on a corner and said seriously, ”That’s a spider, not a worm, I’m sure I didn’t recognize it incorrectly.”

”Ha?” Hill straightened his posture, ”Is she serious?

Is she really going to compete with the Lord of Hell for something?

Even at this point, does she still stand a chance?”

Hill tilted his head: ”Did she take advantage of the moment when Ellie was summoning the Beastmen to do something?

Although a bit surprising, in a world with Beastmen, having Zholar isn’t inconceivable.

One-on-one combat, Rose wouldn’t be that crazy, would she?”

”Or has she contacted some Abyssal Lord?” List mentioned another possibility.
