Surviving The Fourth Calamity

”So, how many blocks are needed?” Snow Cloud Peak asked cautiously.

”I don’t really know.” Hill couldn’t help but laugh, ”You should understand, it depends on the size and intricacy of the array.

No matter how good and high-level the array, without a skilled Array Master, the material consumption might instantly multiply several times over.

That would depend on your Undead Tribe’s own methods.

This is a Divine Magic Array, something that mages like me rarely research, let alone I’m not likely to go over there to help for the time being, even if I could, I don’t have that capability.

However, the priests of the Lord of Dawn in Toril have always been excellent Array Masters, you can seek their assistance.”

Hill kindly offered a likely helpful person.

Lansendel might even be quite pleased to encounter such an interesting event.

And the priests of the Lord of Dawn, they always love adventures... because the Main God is too sensitive, they dare to go anywhere.

Anyway, those who really dare to attack them are basically brainless monsters and demons, already enemies of the Lord of Dawn.

If they die, they can directly enter the Divine Kingdom.

Generally speaking, other Evil Factions, unless they can ensure to completely seal the souls of those of the Lord of Dawn, leaving no gaps, otherwise they won’t proactively do anything to them.

Seeing them, just run away.

Without the deities’ instructions, while Lansendel’s priests will attack evil factions, they won’t pursue all the way.

”Ah...” Snow Cloud Peak sighed with a bit of disappointment, ”Alright~ thank you for your help, Mr. Hill.

Are you planning to go back to Teraxil this time?

Would you like to first return to Toril, and then use our Dimensional Gate to go directly home?

That might even be faster.”

Hill hesitated for a moment: ”I will consider it well, but... I always feel something is off, so I need to observe a bit.”

Snow Cloud Peak frowned slightly: ”I understand. Thank you again for your help.”

”How did it go?

You look a bit confused.” Perfect Bald, sitting cross-legged under the sofa, holding a tablet in one hand continuously recording something while staring at the giant screen, glanced up at Snow Cloud Peak, ”Didn’t Hill give you another method?”

”He seemed to suggest I shouldn’t ask Shaer, Coron, or Edna for help, but go directly to Lansendel.” Snow Cloud Peak tilted his head, ”Of course I can understand why the Radiant Crystal won’t work over there with Shaer.

But Edna, and Coron, what’s the difference?

Aren’t these two gods the ones truly adept at making arrays?”

”What were his exact words?” Perfect Bald sighed, asked with concern... although he heard the sound, focusing on the giant screen was his biggest exhaustion, he didn’t hear clearly what Hill said.

No help for it, after all, more than half of his spiritual power was used to control himself not to get up and run away.

If he really must hold on for half a day, Perfect Bald felt he could dismiss all the boastful words he had made in front of Snow Old Dog like nothing.

So he was truly concerned about this matter... Suffering such a great ordeal, he must find a solution.

After listening to Snow Cloud Peak’s retelling, Perfect Bald also frowned in thought: ”The array, isn’t Edna the strongest in that?

Hill should know Edna wouldn’t refuse to help us, she might even be the only deity willing to act herself.”

Even Coron, facing these not so important matters, usually would just tell the Undead Tribe which suitable believer to seek for help.

Edna is different.

After all, the little girl is now just at the process of needing to thoroughly familiarize all her skills officially, to conceive and set up a strong enough Divine Magic Array for her isn’t much of trouble.

Edna is not someone who slacks on everything; she still cares about her power, absolutely doesn’t want to follow the old path of previous incarnations due to lack of combat power.

Especially her predecessor.

Even now, Edna is still brooding over how Midnight didn’t even know her Divine Kingdom was invaded by Cyric.

Hearing that little Loli in the library nagging too much, many in the Undead Tribe suspect she would go to all that trouble to resurrect a complete Midnight, genuinely doesn’t wish for everyone to think the two of them are linked from past to present life.

Therefore, Edna is in the fervent process of rearranging Josse Garden’s defenses.

Just helping the Undead Tribe with this little matter, she totally can treat it as skill practice.

Hill cannot be unaware of these, for some time, he frequently inquired about the Undead Tribe’s matters in Toril.

”I wonder, is it just because on Edna, the mark of magic is too profound?” Snow Cloud Peak pondered, ”Crystals from the Positive Energy Plane like this, maybe they slightly repel magic.

But why wouldn’t Hill say it clearly?”

”Wait a second, I’ll ask the Elder.” Perfect Bald made a straightforward choice, ”Their team is overwhelmingly strong, so they kept fighting the giant monsters while checking tablets, ending up wiped out... Ah no, the Elder is alive, but there’s no need for her to continue fighting.”

”Ah... even for the Elder, this was a major test!” Snow Cloud Peak shook his head and chuckled, ”If she can’t make it, who else can we rely on?

We can only consider spending money.”

”Zhu Meili...” A hint of a murderous aura gradually emerged on Perfect Bald’s charming little face... he has always been of the more aggressive kind within the Proud Sky Alliance.

Although he has become much calmer with age, his nature still prefers to attack.

Within the Proud Sky Alliance, conflicts arising from inability to suppress rage where Black Rose fought, among ten instances, the Black Rose made up eight.

Snow Cloud Peak waved his hand: ”As long as the opponent is within the rules, don’t actively break them.

You should understand, although Ji Lanyuan is overly extreme, on some matters, we indeed are its domineering side, not to mention every family has its share of scoundrels?

Managers cannot immediately deal with these bullying guys, they still need to consider the truth of the accusations.

But once the investigation concludes... well, bad impressions are hard to recover from.

Not to mention that some among us are blindly protective.

Especially when you believe you’re right... for instance, if someone complains about the Magic Sword causing trouble, would you believe it?

In your heart, he could not possibly be that bad.

These are realities that cannot be changed.

Nowadays, the Proud Sky Alliance is no longer a victim that has to struggle desperately to survive.

We can become powerful but cannot appear overly aggressive.

Having an outside force like Zhu Meili, someone incredibly lethal, even capable of tricking our alliance to death, is very important.

I actually considered Doomsday in the past, but Road Eunuch is too shrewd, he doesn’t engage in such things at all.

With him clinging to Ambori, many things become difficult to conduct.

Zhu Meili’s emergence, indeed, is a right time, right place, right person... even we need it.

I truly suspect Lu Huayu and he have some dirty dealings, otherwise, being by himself, could not possibly time things so perfectly.”

Perfect Bald’s small body straightened slightly and looked down: ”Ah... Let’s not mention the reason for now, so Lansendel it is?

That guy has to follow the procedures, is it the tower in the outskirts of Agleya, or take a trip to Deepwater City to find that Chosen One?”

”Just find the Chosen One directly, Lansendel won’t have high demands of us.” Snow Cloud Peak emotionlessly flipped the tablet, ”Let me check how much funding our Proud Sky Alliance has left.”

”Using the alliance’s funds for buying blueprints is fine.” Perfect Bald turned his head, speaking sincerely, ”Draft up a Level Three design, for families feeling their territory is secure, a basic model will do.

For those sure they’ll clash with Zhu Meili, they will naturally strive for the strongest.”

Snow Cloud Peak gave him a glance: ”The alliance always has to have a set.”

”Doesn’t a set exist for experimentation?” Perfect Bald chuckled, ”The alliance can use that, no one would feel it’s a loss.”

Snow Cloud Peak looked at him again and sighed softly: ”I understand, will issue a confirmation letter to you guys.”
