Surviving The Fourth Calamity

”So, Susu, any new news from Doomsday?” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ stomped his feet twice helplessly, reminding the female priest still crouching under the platform, ”You can shout, you can call out, but you can’t neglect the important tasks. I used up all my willpower just to keep watching the giant screen.

Don’t make me remind you again about what needs to be done. Right now... I really want to curse.”

”Lu Huayu said that Zhu Meili’s butterfly took a liking to the Worm Mage... said he is Level 25 and has particularly strong life force.” ’Susu’ lowered her head and glanced, ”He might be yelling this for Ambori to hear, quite loudly too. Anyone near that ship could hear it.

He’s probably not fishing.”

”Ah... ah?” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ pondered for a few seconds before speaking in surprise, ”Level 25? Did he say Level 25? Are you sure?”

”Very sure, the messages from several people all confirm it.” ’Susu’ responded with certainty, ”What’s up with Level 25? Isn’t that already Superior Level!”

”Worm Mages are basically Level 30, like the ones we dealt with before... We could win because they were mindless monsters. Clearly, to be able to procreate with other creatures, it should be of a higher level kind!” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ scratched his head, ”And also, the life force... isn’t that a problem?

Could it be that Zhu Meili encountered some special creature... or not?”

”Should we ask Hill?” ’Susu’ asked a bit confusedly, ”He knows more about these things, doesn’t he?”

”I don’t dare to ask.” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ sighed, ”Do you have such a misunderstanding about Hill?

He always appears suave, gentle, and a bit of a neat freak.

Uh~ how shocked he must be right now!”

”Did Aesces ask you why Hill went crazy?” ’Susu’ knocked her finger on the tablet above her head, ”Don’t pretend like you understand everything, okay?”

”Ah... so I explained to him and calmly put it to use!” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ admitted, slightly squinting his eyes and smiling, ”But it seems Hill did get quite a scare!

Aesces’s exact words were, what happened for Hill to even kick down the Obsidian Mountain Range?”

”Mountain range?” ’Susu’ was a bit puzzled, ”Isn’t it just a peak?”

”No~ a mountain range~ a series of peaks connected together, that kind of mountain range~” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ laughed happily, ”It all collapsed~”

-----------------

The Heavenly Realm of Aesces was in an uproar at that moment, with countless people flying into the sky, and many more retreating to pack their belongings.

They nearly thought the Heavenly Realm itself was collapsing.

After all, this is the divine realm of the World Master, and a sudden collapse of such a vast mountain range could easily be mistaken for Aesces having a problem.

However, they quickly discovered that only the most solid Obsidian Mountain Range collapsed below, and seemingly no one was harmed.

No other part of the Heavenly Realm showed any movement, so it seemed like that foreign mage with close ties to the World Master was conducting some terrifying alchemy experiment?

But how did he manage to crumble an entire Obsidian Mountain Range?

The mage level required to enter the Heavenly Realm was not low, and most people took on the alchemy profession due to the earth attribute of the World of Aesces.

They often had opportunities to blow up towers and mountains... But those mountains were formed by divine power from the World Master; no matter how basic the materials, such direct explosions had never happened!

What is that mage known as Belfran, real name Hill, up to?

Could he be creating a new Ninth Ring Spell?

But even with all their observation spells exhausted, they couldn’t find a trace within the maze matrix already fully activated in that heap of debris.

Too strong... Despite the foundation being cracked, why is the array still functioning?

-----------------

Of course, when Hill was kicking down the mountain range... Seeing the UFO-like thing supporting the mountain range fall, he didn’t choose to fly up to find the small divine artifact with anti-gravity divine arts, but chose to first hold onto all the rocks with plants.

After all, he wouldn’t die from a fall, but those plants could very well be smashed to pieces by falling rocks.

He grew them himself, and Hill didn’t want them to die by his own hands.

Of course, he forgot the rock holding the giant screen in the middle.

He even kicked it, letting it fall down at maximum speed.

Knowing what was going to happen next, Hill would be crazy to keep watching.

However, a poor fellow got hurt... Purwell, who was always hanging on a column by the giant screen.

Not reacting quickly, he fell to the bottom of the collapsed mountain.

Having calmed down, Hill, sitting cross-legged among the peaks linked by stone bridges, asked the still-screaming Little Whale with a bewildered expression, ”Purwell, are you in spirit form now?”

The shrieking, which sounded a bit like an excited killer whale, slowly faded away.

A small light orb floated up slowly from below the ruins, ”Ah~ I’m so shocked, I was scared, I forgot my skull in the Magic Tower.”

”So why did you fall with the column?” Hill curiously tilted his head, ”You just needed to retract your manifestation magic and float in place, right?”

”Don’t know.” Purwell said awkwardly, ”I wasn’t thinking about anything at that moment.”

”Hmm... you, sigh, I sincerely hope you belong to the less brainy type among Otherworldly Whales.” Hill sighed softly.

”What? Otherworldly Whales that can’t pass the Elders’ tests can’t leave the Cloud Realm! We’re just more innocent and easily deceived, not brainless!” Purwell protested.

”And inside there too?” Hill pointed at the Magic Tower... a Little Whale who made the same mistake as Purwell was still recovering in a half-plane!

Also, Hill wrinkled his nose, ”When I was on Toril, on my way to play with Shoulong, didn’t I save a little Otherworldly Whale?”

”Ah...” Purwell hesitated for a few seconds, then suddenly shouted, ”Strange? Aren’t you the one who made a mistake today, sir?

Most of our mountain range is still piled below!

How can you turn around and blame me, this poor little whale who only made a tiny mistake out of naivety!”

Hill combed his long hair on his chest a few times and said calmly: ”Perhaps, only because you are in front of me during my shameful anger?”

Purwell was suddenly stunned.

He finally remembered what Li Si told him earlier, and what he replied.

It turns out it was all his own doing.

”Sir, don’t you need to do something?”

The half-plane, although said to be an independent space, is always attached to the Magic Tower, so Li Si certainly knew what was happening outside and understood when it was appropriate to appear in front of Hill.

Little Bear’s bad temper had all been vented on Purwell, and he wouldn’t bother Li Si... People with good temper, when truly angry, can explode fiercely, say anything, do anything, but the anger is brief. They will sort out their emotions themselves and usually don’t hold grudges.

But of course, he has to figure it out himself.

Hill looked down at the pile of debris on the ground: ”Doesn’t Aesces usually bounce back quickly, why hasn’t he come out yet?”

”I guess... he went to consult with Mr. Snow Cloud Peak first.” Li Si thought that the World Master, although a bit paranoid, wouldn’t be foolish to that extent.

”Ah... I’ll be mocked by Snow Old Dog.” Hill sighed lightly, tapping the ground with one hand.

A round disc swiftly flew to the rock beneath the Magic Tower.

With the gravity spell repositioned, rock after rock below, along with surrounding soil and flying sand, swirled upward.
