Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Hill turned his head in slight surprise to look at the little black ball: ”Oh~ wow, a stone has bloomed!”

”What are you talking about?” Aesces quickly replied, ”I don’t feel like that’s a good comment, but it doesn’t sound like you’re insulting me either.”

”Snow Cloud Peak is really a good teacher.” Hill stated confidently, ”You are much more perceptive now than before.

If it were the current you, you wouldn’t be so easily deceived.”

”Really?” Aesces immediately lifted his spirits.

Then he quickly explained: ”Snow Cloud Peak told me, it’s not wrong to trust people, but not everyone can be trusted.

Anyway, I am a deity, with limitless calculation and memory abilities, I can completely create a tiered table in my mind... listing everyone I know, especially those I intend to keep in mind, according to various levels.

Then draw a line above it, only those who cross that line can I choose to let my guard down a bit.

Then decrease it layer by layer until the tip of the tower.

Only those at the top can I be completely unguarded with.

Hill naturally doesn’t need to be considered, you’re at the pinnacle right away!”

Hill’s mouth twitched slightly: ”I really, sincerely thank you.”

Although he could understand, he didn’t really want to always be the excessively trusted one.

But after Aesces made his rounds, it’s probably easy for those observing him to deduce his basic nature: though he doesn’t like causing trouble, he’s not afraid of it, and he’s utterly dismissive of moral coercion, his style of doing things is quite wilful.

Things he doesn’t like, he would never do, even if someone kneels and begs.

Forget it, no need to think too much for now.

The consequence of having a great relation with the Undead Tribe is that when the Evil Forces want to manipulate him, they must consider the repercussions.

Especially for an earth attribute being like Hill, it’s difficult to be eliminated directly, even in the void he has countless ways to escape.

But revenge, most beings... whether deities or devils, even most demons, probably would not want to bear it after watching the recent drama.

Because this scene caused the Lord of Hell to activate full panoramic shielding, it was truly terrifying.

Even the demons of the Bottomless Abyss, accustomed to chaos and filth, most of them wouldn’t stoop to such a level.

Ever since Hill took a glance at the opening, he had lost hope for his future... Next time he ventures out, he must change his appearance, change his aura, and preferably go to a world where the World Master is in a dormant stage.

However, such worlds are often chaotic, and the calculations are endless.

Wherever he goes, he must guard against others’ exploitations.

It’s not a big deal though, since his original goal for traveling is to gain more worldly experience, instead of living like Oriana when he’s older.

Just by contemplating a bit, Hill felt a bit heartache... How could such a kind person as him end up being feared by everyone and causing deities to flee?

”So, do you know how to deal with those worms?” Aesces couldn’t help but want to know the answer.

There was no help for it; he rarely saw ’Snow Cloud Peak’ so perturbed about something.

Even knowing that his best and only way to retaliate against ’Snow Cloud Peak’ is to make him wait longer... After all, those two were just chatting, not actively inviting him to ask.

He himself voluntarily came over to offer his head.

Luckily, Hill had already tidied up his mood.

Aesces didn’t expect at all that the sudden improvement in Hill’s mood was partly because he saw Aesces acting silly.

’Snow Cloud Peak’ loved to kill two birds with one stone... and if he could bag more, wouldn’t it be even better.

”The simplest way to deal with this kind of bug is to give them more life force, never use the force of death or negative energy.” Having understood what Aesces was thinking, Hill shook his head helplessly, ”Their bloodlines originate from necromancy... dead but transformed, only transforming the exterior.

Within their life core, there is still some force of death present.

Their exterior full of life force indeed causes misunderstandings... Asmodeus even raised barriers because he used dark power wanting to directly destroy the insect’s life, ending up accelerating their hatching!”

Although Hill hadn’t been watching, he knew what happened: the shout from the Undead Tribe was quite clear, coupled with Purwell’s broadcasting the broken jar, he hadn’t missed any crucial point.

As long as he didn’t see with his own eyes, Hill didn’t feel too affected... His psychological shadow was heavy, accompanied by disgust from his cleanness, but not fear.

Particularly, that wild strike from Asmodeus, causing the insect eggs to instantly hatch mid-air, Purwell was shouting very loudly.

Little Whale wasn’t afraid of these things, but the scene was a tad too spectacular, coupled with the tragic roar of the Undead Tribe, and even someone cursing whether Asmodeus had a faulty brain, Purwell couldn’t help but join in the shouting.

Hill felt this might be the first time in the Lord of Hell’s life he’d heard so many people call him a fool.

Even the demons cursing Asmodeus were numerous, surpassing the Undead Tribe, but the content was quite different... His reaction to the current situation was evidently intense.

”Hmm... what...?” Aesces didn’t quite understand, ”But aren’t they growing fast by devouring life force?”

”So, haha~” Hill couldn’t help but laugh, ”It has to be extraordinarily strong life force.

For me, it’s quite effortless.

You should also manage just fine.

The tricky part concerns the Evil Forces.”

”Instantaneously overwhelming life force, making it impossible for them to transform, directly touching that core’s bit of force of death?” Aesces finally figured it out.

This was indeed achievable for him; as a World Master, he could easily mobilize most Law Energy.

”The Undead Tribe can’t achieve this, right?” Aesces quickly reacted.

”They can, their priests are numerous.

Besides, what Snow Cloud Peak considers isn’t your world. Once in Toril there will be more people, and the priests’ levels will be higher.

Initially, they’d probably suffer, needing trials to determine how many priests joining forces are required to accomplish this outcome.” Hill spoke slowly, ”But it’s okay, as the hatching moves forward, these worms’ core weaken progressively.

As long as the priests hold on, sooner or later, they’ll deplete these worms.”

”I think you’re smirking.” Aesces slowly spoke, ”And I need no evidence.”
