Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Hill spread his hands: ”Exactly, it would be a major issue if many strong-willed male members change professions to priests~ Even if it’s only a temporary switch for a while, the mindset of a priest and a knight are completely different things.

Ha~

The Undead Tribe doesn’t care about spending that bit of money for a job change, but relying on the few skills they’ve learned temporarily, I’m guessing they’ll waste a lot of time trying to figure it out~”

”Can’t they experiment in my world?” Aesces asked puzzled, ”I wouldn’t drive them away.”

”Playing dumb again.” Hill shook his head helplessly, ”In Toril, they’re capable of using high-level Eighth Ring Divine Spells, and some can even use Pseudo-Nine Rings.

All of these issues must be taken into consideration!

In Aesces, as long as they don’t go to the desert, isn’t that the case?

Anyway, there are plenty of scorpion Lords of Earth over there, and it doesn’t lack a place like an oasis where no one wants to go.”

”Ah... so, Hill, do you think I should also make some preparations?” Aesces hesitated as he spoke.

Hill suddenly sat up, his mind quickly turning towards him: ”You haven’t done anything? Are you crazy?”

”Ah... I was thinking, William...”

”Who cares who it is! Protecting yourself is the number one priority!” Hill said incredulously, ”You must strive to hold your future and everything in your hands!

How can hopes be placed on someone else’s reason and emotions?

Even if there’s only a billionth of a chance, if you have the ability to control it, certainly leave no gaps!

You... I don’t believe Snow Cloud Peak hasn’t told you this point, he wouldn’t...”

”He did, but I always felt I couldn’t do it,” Aesces’ words left Hill completely baffled.

”When I see how strict you are with your world’s deities, aren’t they also once your subordinates and allies?” Hill asked softly.

”I just brought back the treaty that I felt was right. Sometimes I was indeed too rigid, but most of them are faith gods, and they don’t want to be overly influenced themselves.

Actually, those outsider elves have really taught humans a lot of lessons, tsk, even now they still do.

At first, humans welcomed these beautiful and graceful creatures warmly, but... eh, in the end, they killed each other over faith conflicts, leading to the reality of living only in the center of the continent when they did have the strongest power, making humans pretty scared of divine influence.

At that time, I didn’t quite understand these things and took them to observe other worlds.

The events happening in Toril are actually quite frightening.

You know, at Mulholland and Anmur, even the most powerful deities die straightforwardly when they make mistakes.” Aesces admitted honestly, ”So they quite agreed with my decision to seal the world.

Although this would completely suppress their power by me, they were originally my loyal followers, and before they were affected by faith, naturally they would consider my interest.

Many agreements were supplemented by themselves.

Given that all the responsibility is on me, then the power is also mine alone.

I felt this fits my nature, so I agreed.”

Hill nodded with a sudden realization... He finally understood why Aesces displayed both intelligence and foolishness.

No wonder the Goddess of the Sea managed to deceive him.

This guy really relies on his subordinates being honest.

Even the Goddess of the Silvermoon and the Sun God, who like to stir things up the most, didn’t consider betraying him because they were born in his embrace.

But the ocean, due to so many influencing factors, ended up differently.

Every ocean in every world, in the moment of its birth, is chaotic... and then changes to different factions according to her emotions and perceptions.

That’s why Agleya, brought out by Hill, would choose goodness without hesitation.

Ambori, born out of Shaer and Celene’s battle, directly turned evil.

The ocean of Aesces’s world was too weak, clearly a Nature God, yet she was weaker than a faith god... Therefore, she wanted to become increasingly powerful, such Sea Gods, are most easily tempted by power.

The sea is always the most unpredictable, fundamentally opposite to the earth.

Thus Aesces kept mumbling about how the female Sea Goddess was clearly pitiful yet adorable, looking at him with sincere and longing eyes... He completely didn’t understand, maybe in that instant, the female Sea Goddess’s lowered gaze, those eyes might have turned to hatred.

Hill waved his hand: ”Just follow my and Snow Cloud Peak’s advice.

Even if Lucimar enters your Divine Kingdom in the future, you truly cannot let him know your vital points and core.

Understand?

Never test human hearts.

Sometimes, what shouldn’t be known just shouldn’t be known, which is the greatest protection for the subordinates.

Ah... that you’ve only run into issues now is indeed your decent fate, the first subordinates you took under are quite honest.”

”Okay~ alright~ I understand.” Aesces said hesitantly, ”Actually, I firmly believe one thing, anyone that the Sun and Silvermoon don’t fancy, better not recruit.

But anyone they fancy seems particularly well-behaved.”

Hill couldn’t help but ’ha’ a laugh.

Those two, clearly rely entirely on intuition to choose people... Especially that Silvermoon, her demeanor is almost no different from the beloved Silvermoon of their Teraxil.

With her intuition, the only ones she could select are those with an empty heart.

The Sun God is slightly better but only just a bit.

No wonder the Master of Runes, the highest-ranked faith god in this world, lives as steadily as Fran’s Tower Spirit.

But this indeed is the optimal choice for someone like Aesces.

For someone like Lucimar, if not because he suffered so much upfront, he wouldn’t be much trustworthy, unable to reach Aesces’s view.

One can only say that everything aligns in the right place, allowing Aesces to have a trustworthy head steward.

As for the others... This demigod Lucimar, as long as Aesces doesn’t undergo any major changes, is absolutely impossible to betray.

Even Celene only suffered betrayal from subordinates after being severely harmed by Shaer.

Though those guys are indeed a bit ungrateful, heartless, and selfish, it’s somewhat understandable for inherently selfish Primordials to betray when encountering a master like Celene.

Aesces, such a Main God, though a bit troublesome, is instead quite worth following by subordinates like Lucimar.

”Fate indeed~” Hill couldn’t help but sigh.

Given Aesces’s position so close to the worlds on the verge of collapse in Eosca, if not for Hill and the Undead Tribe’s arrival, he would sooner or later get caught up in the battles between Mark City and the God of Portals.

By then, along with those hidden troubles erupting together, this guy is possibly going to retreat to his homeland to slumber.

Although his big boss would certainly pull him out, she’s just like the World Tree, only caring about the person, not about the person’s accessories.

Otherwise, the Goddess of the Earth in Teraxil wouldn’t have been so insistent... She can certainly return home if she fails.

But along with the Silvermoon and Sun God born with her, as well as this beautiful world, they would have no survival possibilities at all.

”What are you saying?” Aesces couldn’t grasp the situation.

”Saying you’re really lucky.” Hill glanced at him.

”Of course.” Aesces blinked, slightly bewildered, ”Existences like us always have great luck!

Testing is a different matter, it’s the inevitable road as a descendant of deities.”

Hill smiled helplessly... The Fantasy World indeed has a center.

Not the central, but some areas that first appeared.

Just like the World Tree, just like the Heavenly Mountain, and even the Abyss and Hell.

They were all born in ancient times when the Multiverse wasn’t as endless as it is now.

The Elemental Realm is naturally the same.

At the time the Elemental Realm appeared, land was the initial concept.

Thus, the first Elemental Creature was earth.

He was almost the Elemental Realm itself.

However, the Elemental Realm has expanded along with the Multiverse.

Similar to the endless Abyssal Will, they cannot really respond.

The slow feedback makes it difficult for them to be noticed.

Therefore, they would choose some representatives for themselves.

Of course, the Elemental Realm wouldn’t behave like the Abyssal Will... and new Elemental Creatures continue to appear continuously.

So he straightforwardly separated various sub-planes besides the main Elemental Realm.

Directly allowing these Elemental Creatures to manage themselves.

But he doesn’t really do nothing.

Especially after the increase in elemental types, when energy in the Elemental Realm became overly abundant, originally belonging to the Earth Element, he would give birth to some fundamental little light ords.

However, these little light ords cannot be considered pure earth elements; they naturally carry some divinity within.

The Elemental Realm is no longer suitable for their living... they are born knowing what desire is.

That Lord of Earth finally had to choose to send these children to the Multiverse, allowing them to slowly develop into a world.

Aesces came about this way.

As for Hill, why he counts as relatives with him isn’t just because of a shared earth attribute.

The World Tree wasn’t born out of nowhere.

Before he grew out, the bottom layer, like a void mud, was the Elemental Realm itself.

The earth element in the Elemental Realm and the World Tree growing there, they are the siblings born together.
