Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1123: Chapter 915: Chaos in the Junkyard

The giant screen in front of Hill’s eyes was now just a dizzying spin, which was quite normal considering the photographer was screaming while falling.

Even if the reporter’s hands were steady, being able to guarantee not dropping the gear that feeds him at this moment was already very professional.

Hill could only turn his head to the side... the spinning made his eyes uncomfortable.

”Hill,” Celene said in surprise, ”why is the ground beneath your territory so stable? An earthquake with such a wide range didn’t affect Agleya at all.”

Hill simply turned his body around: ”It’s not just my doing, Gulanba has been here for several years!”

Hill had merely organized the underground of his territory into a whole, preventing outsiders from entering the range of Agleya without his permission. Yet, for some reason, the God of Earth Elementals had directly connected Agleya to the leylines of Toril.

Perhaps he didn’t want his playground to be destroyed?

Although Gulanba didn’t like to meddle in the affairs of the main world, he was well aware of many things about Toril and perhaps already knew what Hill’s neighbors were like.

So this God of Earth Elementals probably knew that eventually there would be a volcanic eruption or frequent earthquakes in Sword Bay, right?

Anyway, unless there’s a restructuring of Toril or something equally dangerous, Agleya doesn’t need Hill to manipulate the Puzzle Lock... actually, when Shaer and Celene directly confronted each other, the Floating Castle only shook slightly, showing just how solid this city was.

Celene said in disbelief, ”Which one? How come I didn’t notice? Didn’t think anyone was special!”

”Gulanba likes playing ball with Terry,” Hill said with a smile.

Celene exclaimed, ”Isn’t the God of Earth Elementals supposed to be very stable?”

Of course, she had seen how the two played ball, from dawn to dusk, always tossing a ball back and forth—it’s normal for a young Golden Dragon to be playful, but that Earth Elemental... Celene really thought it was some newly ascended Element Lord.

Shaer chuckled softly, ”Some even say you’re serene and mysterious, peaceful and harmonious!”

Celene let out an awkward laugh... Believers tend to describe a carefree god as generous and profound, and laziness as gentle and mysterious, isn’t that normal?

”Ah!” Celene quickly changed the topic, ”The undead tribe filming has stabilized, we can watch on the giant screen again~”

As she wished, Hill turned his head... Shaer seemed more interested in seeing what trick the Haber Family planned this time, not intending to pursue her foolish sister any further.

Compared to the last earthquake, this time the crack, though wide-ranging, wasn’t as deep, at least most of the undead tribe, while lying on the ground, seemed mostly unharmed.

’Snow Cloud Peak’ was even luckier... lying side by side with Hydra, he directly fell onto the multi-headed snake, not even scraping his skin.

He rolled off the snake onto the ground: ”Priest, make it rain, focus on saving the humans nearby first!”

”Mage! Cast the Dance of Light Spell!”

”Damn, what’s that smell? Raindrop! Raindrop! What is it? Why does it smell like crap?”

”Shut your dog mouth! No! That’s the smell of waste water.” ’Rain Falling on Mortal Dust’ couldn’t control the urge to curse, ”Stop with the crow’s mouth, damn it!”

The undead tribe came with a wave of curses towards Snow Old Dog... known for his bad luck and bad mouth, no one wanted him to speak recklessly.

Edna looked up, observing those who narrowly escaped death yet cursed their own commander from the undead tribe... it seemed there wasn’t a significant issue, perhaps just another Worm Mage.

With Elvia by her side, Edna was of course unharmed, not even ’Old Age Striking King’ was injured.

Although Sanda King and Elvia often fought, they actually had a good relationship... while falling down, Elvia had even worked hard to hang Sanda King on the tip of her claw.

The crack in the ground was not a major threat to the flying White Dragon, as the previous volcanic eruption was. If she wasn’t afraid to leave the group, Elvia could have found a safe place for Edna to land!

And Leonard, being a half-elf with a light body, could rely on Josanie, who, though without much strength left, still managed to provide support.

Seeing that those around her were fine, Edna decided to examine the surroundings: it seemed they had fallen into some kind of dump site for discarded failed alchemy potions and such.

The wailing and complaints from the undead tribe were loud, and there were always people crawling up around, making it difficult for Edna to make an accurate judgment at the moment.

But she could feel that as they fell, they slid all the way east... it wouldn’t be surprising if they ended up beneath long saddle town.

She could only slightly raise her voice and shout, ”Devis, Luca, where are you? Are you alright? Need healing?”

”I’m fine, Soma’s injured! Can you ask the priest there for help?” Devis sounded panicked, it seemed Soma’s injuries were quite serious.

’Old Age Striking King’ rolled up his sleeves and walked over briskly, ”Put out a little light ord, let me see where you are.”

She quickly found the tiger man: ”No problem, just a few broken ribs.

Don’t move, wait, let me get an umbrella for him first.

I have to use a Healing Spell to clear the shattered bone fragments first, then align the ribs. Holy Rain can only help with healing; if it rains too much, the bones might grow crooked and it’ll be a mess.

Might have to break it and start over.”

”Huh? Oh!” Luca’s voice sounded from the side, ”Get me an umbrella too! My bones are broken!”

”Little Deer, go help him.” ’Old Age Striking King’ said without looking up.

Actually, Holy Rain also automatically clears debris and corrects broken bones when helping someone recover. But it’s not very precise, and some unlucky people might run into trouble.

’Striking King’ isn’t that kind-hearted usually, caring about the future of NPCs... But this tiger head is different~

She has a bit of a good feeling towards Soma, who looks just like ’Baldy’, but it’s a pity that this one can’t be petted.

Soma soon stood up, advising Devis to stay beside Edna, and started searching for those attendants all around.

Fortunately, Devis and Luca’s attendants were very cautious, and hardly anyone chose to stand too far away from the Undead Tribe. When they fell, some of the Undead Tribe actually absorbed part of the damage... The Undead Tribe actively acted as buffers for them.

To the Undead Tribe, losing their lives isn’t a big deal, but these people, who might become future Experience Packs, absolutely cannot die.

Unfortunately, under Luca were two people whose abilities were really poor and luck horribly bad. When they fell, they probably landed head first... Those with quick reflexes certainly knew how to adjust mid-air, but these two probably didn’t have much combat experience and were petrified, leading to their death, proving why they were almost taken out by the Gnoll People... Most people are still alive and well.

Holy Rain is very useful for treating external injuries, and soon everyone was able to stand up.

The luckiest ones were the two inside the carriage, suffering only minor injuries... The Alchemy Carriage has collision protection settings.

But from the rescue priority of the Undead Tribe, one could tell their status... Normally, the Undead Tribe would choose to rescue the NPCs in their eyes first, but that carriage lying sideways on the ground was completely unattended.

The swordsman climbed out on his own and, after realizing the rainwater had healing effects, kindly pulled the defensive mage out too.

The Undead Tribe was in chaos, and even after Snow Old Dog shouted for a long time, the scene was still chaotic... Mainly because most people couldn’t stand the environment around them.

Luckily, the Light Orbs continued to increase, and everyone finally woke up from the illusion of being dropped into a filthy monster nest, realizing they had merely fallen into a junkyard... As long as it’s not covered head-to-toe in feces like the ’Worm Mage’, even if there are numerous failed Alchemy Potion that cause bleeding and negative states, the Undead Tribe remains unafraid.

”Don’t stop the Holy Rain!” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ shouted loudly, ”Earth Mages, see if you can clear a clean area!

Don’t blow wind! Don’t blow wind! It’s sealed here!”

”Who the hell unleashed a tornado? If you want to return to the city, go bash your head against a wall!” Snow Old Dog angrily cursed, ”Damn it! Wind Law, quickly dispel that wind! Bring it back!

Don’t blow upwards! You’re mixing it with the rainwater! Are you guys stupid?

Quickly surround all humans! Do two more need to die?”

”Old Dog! The area task is initiated.” ’Rain Falling on Mortal Dust’ quickly responded, ”Not one can die!”

”Alright, did you all hear that? You old folks need me to teach you step by step?” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ shouted, ”Rainfall, mark all humans.

You can die, but not the task targets, understand?”

”Old Dog, dug three meters yet it’s still not okay, it’s more poisonous down there.”

”Who brought earth with them? Building materials will do too.” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ quickly asked, ”Those who do, quickly pile it underfoot!”

”Why would they bring earth when going out?” Celene was completely puzzled.

She initially thought the orders given by the commander below were insane, but the Undead Tribe really did throw quite a lot of soil, stones, and even green slabs underground.

Then a large number of Earth Mages piled these materials to form a stone platform three meters high, able to accommodate tens of thousands of people!

That Nature Mage also brought plenty of Thorn Seeds that can quickly grow to absorb pollutants, letting the Undead Tribe throw them around the high platform... Leonard came out of the extremely polluted Supreme Forest, though the potions here are toxic, they’re not as bad as those in the Supreme Forest.

The Thorn Seeds quickly took root and sprouted, and those tiny branches flourished under Leonard’s Blessing Spell. It’s a pity the stone platform was too big, and Leonard dared not to consume too much spell energy, so with Josanie’s assistance, these thorns grew to cover half the platform.

But at least the people on the platform were no longer under any negative buffs.
