Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Capítulo 1102: Chapter 895: Let’s Go Buy a Dragon Saddle!

Shaer seems to have gotten used to Celene’s shamelessness, and coldly asked, “The Undead Tribe brought so many things to Toril, why do you only see the most useless ones?”

Hill silently lowered his head to drink his wine… One could immediately understand what kind of trick Celene was playing, it seems Shaer hadn’t missed watching the show.

Celene answered nonchalantly, “What is useful, and what is useless? My dear sister! Making me happy is useful.

Of course, having a goal of your own pursuit, you probably don’t feel my boredom.

Unfortunately, I have no goals, no desires, nothing at all.

So what can I do? I can only find myself some entertainment.”

Shaer was silent for a moment and suddenly thought that Celene’s explanation was understandable… She herself always enjoyed solitude, could even stay in the darkness for tens of thousands of years, and when she occasionally went out, she never found anything that caught her attention. After having a few words with her sister, she could go back to dancing with the darkness.

But Celene, who loved excitement, liked to roam around for fun before creating that foolish sun… The reason Primordials became her Chosen is because the Maiden of the Moon enjoyed chatting with people.

Shaer’s hatred for her sister is not only because she turned the dark Toril into this complex and noisy world… If Celene had initially chosen to slowly persuade her with persistent efforts, perhaps the Lady of the Night might have agreed, at least leaving a place only of darkness in Toril belonging to her.

Instead of the current situation, where in the world she created, there’s nowhere that belongs to her.

But after Celene discovered Shaer’s strong opposition, she didn’t even consider the feelings of her sister of many years, directly taking action herself.

Shaer truly felt betrayed by her sister at that time… She even suspected if the sisterly bond of many years was merely her illusion.

Shaer’s emotions were always rare, and although her suspicion was heavy, once she trusted, it lasted forever.

Thus, she hated betrayers the most… But when even a sister of tens of thousands of years can so easily betray, who else could she trust?

Celene appeared to be very kind to everyone… Yet her emotions were given and taken back quickly, if something disagreed with her, she could abandon anyone.

Shaer forever remembers Celene’s indifferent expression and careless words when she angrily accused her of betrayal: “Didn’t you disagree? But I wanted to.”

Even though a long time has passed, Toril has rebooted more than once… It’s not that it hasn’t been destroyed in Shaer’s hands before, but the stubborn and firm Shaer hasn’t forgotten the feeling that was darker and colder than the deepest shadow.

So Shaer never wonders why the sun selected by Celene would be such a thing.

Someone who is heartless would naturally encounter ungrateful bastards.

Shaer has come to terms with some past events; after all, having experienced too much, she understands that Celene’s ability to successfully change the world meant that AO, the old man, also had that wish.

But AO probably didn’t expect Celene to entirely disregard Shaer’s wishes, suddenly taking action on her own.

Otherwise, the old man wouldn’t suddenly have exiled the Aber-Toril world to another dimension at the time.

He didn’t want those Primordials, that were born alongside the world, to perish for such absurd reasons.

Speaking of, those beings were originally the earliest life apart from the deities in Toril World.

AO would be unwilling yet understandable.

Shaer coldly glanced at that silver-blue moonlight that always seemed flatten-worthy.

She was now surprised that after hearing words that easily recalled the past, she hadn’t taken immediate action; her temper had indeed improved lately… The departure of the Shadow Weave seemed to have opened a crack in her always icy heart.

Of course, it could also be that after spending a lot of time with William, his ideas had biased her.

William had been urging Shaer to build her Shadow Realm well: anyway, this bunch in Toril would sooner or later play themselves into oblivion.

It would be better to comfortably stay in the Shadow Realm, watching as they rise, watching as they fall.

If Shaer weren’t around, perhaps Celene would have blown up Toril… Just look at Lansendel!

Is there any difference between the Lord of Dawn and the Maiden of the Moon?

Actually, Shaer had always restrained Celene, which left her with less room to maneuver.

Originally, Shaer never thought of these… The Shadow Weave indeed brought her many negative thoughts, maybe just like William said, villainous?

To want to strangle someone who can’t be strangled is just like those idiots on the Path of Destiny trying to kill the Son of Destiny themselves.

If Shaer thinks those people are stupid, then hasn’t she been quite foolish for tens of thousands of years?

William speaks unkindly and somewhat venomously, but this time Shaer listened… Just in time to take a good look at her Plane as the Shadow Realm returned entirely to her control, and Mask was tossed aside… That dog chasing behind Mask is really annoying!

Shaer decided that before she could get rid of that soul-sensing dog, she absolutely wouldn’t take Mask back!

Leaving that God of Thievery to cause some trouble for the Toril Gods isn’t too bad either… If she really chooses to step back, she should leave a beautiful mark on Toril.

Let Mask go out and play with Cyric, it will surely be interesting.

Hill glanced at the giant screen and spoke softly, “Edna is about to leave the forest, I wonder if she’ll choose to take the main road?”

“How is that possible?” Celene cheerfully responded, “She’ll either go to Neverwinter Forest or to the Griffin Nest!”

“What are you thinking?” Shaer said in surprise, “That group of griffins had moved long ago! What kind of fierce beast can coexist with the Undead Tribe?”

“Huh?” Celene said blankly, “I remember there were hundreds of griffins in that nest? Didn’t even the White Dragon get driven away by them before?”

“Besides demons, who can rival the Undead Tribe in numbers?” Shaer asked in confusion, “They’d been in the Hidden Forest for less than half a year, and the griffins moved due to heavy losses, why don’t you know that?”

“Why should I care about a bunch of wild beasts?” It seemed every word from Celene was filled with question marks.

“Maybe it’s because that group of griffins is allied with a bunch of Beastified People?” Shaer said with disdain in her tone, “Those guys pray to you daily, hoping they won’t fully turn into beasts?

Don’t you frequently answer the calls of your followers?”

Celene suddenly understood and said, “Oh, oh~ it’s that white lion! I remember him, but not where he is, why is that wrong?

If I just remember what the Soul Mark of my followers looks like, isn’t that enough? Why remember where he is?”

Hill gave a slightly helpless smile.

The Griffin Nest, once the most dangerous place in The North, has long become a paradise for birds… Even though the Undead Tribe is a troublesome bunch, they’re not about to climb those steep mountains just to hunt ordinary birds.

But griffins are different; those beasts that have long dominated the skies of The North, their first reaction upon seeing Elves is to snatch them up to feed their young… However, the children of Teraxil Elves have always been just for show.

So, the consequence of these beasts’ insatiable claws was losing half of their kin and their long-standing home… The Undead Tribe’s Flight Art is too poor, they can’t catch up to those determined-to-flee fierce beasts.

“I wonder where those Beastified People went?” Hill still had some memory of that giant white lion, but the Beastified People generally avoid contact with other races due to the hatred from being driven out by humans, so he hasn’t had much interaction with them.

“Uh…” Shaer hesitated before saying, “Without the protection of those griffins, of course, they’ve ended up in the Haber Family’s laboratory.”

Hill was stunned for a moment, then he lowered his eyes in slight dismay. Of course, those Beastified People weren’t good people, but they didn’t deserve to become test subjects either!

He could understand Shaer’s indifference to the matter, after all, that group of Beastified People were Celene’s followers, it was already good enough that she wasn’t kicking them while they were down.

But Hill couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable… Should he issue a mission for the Undead Tribe to rescue these Beastified People? After all, it was his decision that directed the Undead Tribe to the Hidden Forest.

Celene’s exclamation interrupted Hill’s daze, “Doesn’t the Haber Family know they’re my followers? Why didn’t I feel their cries for help?”

“Even a Demon Lord can be sealed, why do you think a group of beasts that haven’t reached Transcendent level can break through the Haber’s blockade?” Shaer said coldly.

Celene snorted, “I’ll go to the Alchemy Hall right now to find your William Ming!”

Hill pondered for a moment. Since no matter which direction Edna and her team head, they will inevitably enter the narrative tasks left for them by the Tablets of Fate, it would be convenient to assign a mission to the Undead Tribe to rescue the innocent little animals too.

William will most likely agree.

Shaer seems to have realized this as well, so she practically chased after Celene out the door.

After all, she understands William’s character. If it’s for a serious matter, even if he’s reluctant to talk to Celene, at least he’ll stay nearby to listen.

Shaer definitely doesn’t want William to feel any fondness for Celene.

Helping Celene save people is fine, but William must understand how heartless and unprincipled the Maiden of the Moon is towards her followers.

Hill couldn’t help but turn his head to glance in the direction of the Alchemy Hall… He genuinely didn’t envy William this blessing of the beauty at all.

On the giant screen, Edna stood outside the forest with her hands on her hips: “I heard the Dragon Saddles in Long Saddle Town are particularly exquisite? And they come in a great variety?

Elvia, shall we go have a look?

Maybe one of them will catch your fancy!

I want to fly in the sky too!”
