Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 497: Chapter 385: Disheveled and Unkempt

After dinner, Zhou Yun walked towards the hotel with Zheng Xiaojue and Cao Jun.

Since it was nearby, Zhou Yun also felt like walking, so she didn’t drive.

Snow was falling heavily.

Zheng Xiaojue huddled up, saying, ”It’s so cold.”

”Xiaoju, does it snow every winter where you’re from?” Zhou Yun asked.

Zheng Xiaojue shook her head, ”When I was young, it used to snow every winter, but in recent years, not so much. When it does, it’s just a thin layer.”

Zhou Yun looked up, watching the snowflakes falling from the night sky, and said, ”If it weren’t so cold, snowy nights really look beautiful.”

Zheng Xiaojue nodded, saying, ”Yeah, I loved it when it snowed as a kid, and I could make snowmen with everyone.”

”Xiaoju, take a photo for me,” Zhou Yun suddenly said.

Zheng Xiaojue nodded, okay.

So, Zhou Yun struck a ’yeah’ pose, the tackiest gesture, but her smile was cute.

Zheng Xiaojue took the photo and said, ”Sister Xiao Yun, I’ll send it to you directly, are you going to post it to Weibo?”

”No, I’m going to send it to Song Chi,” Zhou Yun said with a smile.

Zheng Xiaojue let out several cries of ”ah ah ah ah,” ”Sister Xiao Yun, can you not torture us singles like this?”

The two chatted and laughed, with Cao Jun quietly following by their side, not speaking, always watching the surroundings to prevent any sneak photos or tailing.

They arrived at the hotel.

Gu Huaichun’s call came through.

”He’s very willing to take the role.”

Zhou Yun smiled, saying, ”Good, then wait for my news.”

Walking into the hotel lobby, Zhou Yun said to Cao Jun and Zheng Xiaojue, ”You guys go rest, I’m going to find Shi Luoqi.”

Zheng Xiaojue nodded, asking, ”Sister Xiao Yun, should I wake you up for breakfast tomorrow morning?”

Zhou Yun thought for a moment, then said, ”Wake me up, I should sleep early tonight.”

Zheng Xiaojue: ”Alright, I’ll come knock on your door tomorrow.”

After separating from them, Zhou Yun called Shi Luoqi.

”Sister Luo Qi, are you at the hotel now?”

Shi Luoqi: ”Yes, what’s up, Xiao Yun? I’m a bit busy here, I...”

”Can I come see you now? About the fact that Feng Chaotian isn’t planning to take the role, I have some things I want to discuss with you, is it convenient?”

”Sure, come on up, I’m in room 1207,” Shi Luoqi gave out her room number.

Zhou Yun took the elevator to room 1207 and knocked on the door.

Shi Luoqi opened the door from the inside.

”Sorry to bother you at this late hour, Sister Luo Qi,” Zhou Yun got straight to the point, saying, ”I also heard that Feng Chaotian isn’t planning to take the role, so I came over. Have you been in contact with him? What did they say?”

Shi Luoqi shook her head, ”They’d rather pay the penalty for breach of contract, this matter will probably just have to be this way.”

”Then, who will play the role of Meng Fanyan?” Zhou Yun asked, ”Is it settled?”

Shi Luoqi said, ”I was planning to discuss it with Xue Qin, what’s up, do you have any thoughts?”

”Yes,” Zhou Yun didn’t beat around the bush, nodding, ”Actually, I think that Wui Zhichang, who auditioned with Feng Chaotian last time, was quite good. At the time, it was just that his appearance wasn’t as good as Feng Chaotian’s, but his acting and attitude were both great.”

”Hmm, I remember him,” Shi Luoqi asked, ”Is he an acquaintance of yours?”

Shi Luoqi’s gaze was sharp.

”Not really an acquaintance, just some interactions, he’s a classmate of Gu Huaichun, do you know Gu Huaichun?” Zhou Yun said, ”Acted in a drama with me.”

”I know, I’ve heard his name,” Shi Luoqi suddenly understood, ”Did Gu Huaichun contact you? Did the news reach him?”

”No, he didn’t contact me, I just had this person in mind,” Zhou Yun said, ”At the time I felt it was a pity, because Wui Zhichang really was quite good.”

Shi Luoqi pondered for a moment, ”Let’s do this, I will go and discuss with Xue Qin first, see what she thinks. She’s the director of the movie, so I should respect her opinion.”

”Understood, thank you, Sister Luo Qi.” Zhou Yun smiled and nodded.

”We probably won’t be able to start shooting as scheduled tomorrow morning, so let’s have a meeting first and discuss the script.” Shi Luoqi said, ”Originally, Xue Qin intended to shoot for two days to test some scenes, then have a meeting to discuss.”

”No problem, I’ll follow your arrangements.”

Leaving Shi Luoqi’s room, Zhou Yun breathed a sigh of relief.

She didn’t know what the final outcome of this matter would be, but she had tried her best.

She hoped that Wui Zhichang would be approved by Xue Qin.

The next morning, Zheng Xiaojue came knocking on the door early.

Disheveled, Zhou Yun opened the door, spent a while in a daze, washed her face, brushed her teeth, tied her hair, changed clothes, and went with Zheng Xiaojue to the hotel restaurant for breakfast.

There were some guests in the restaurant who weren’t part of the film crew.

They were somewhat surprised to see Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun could only smile at these somewhat surprised guests, then quickly grabbed some food and found a seat to sit down.

Since she was still in the process of gaining weight, Zhou Yun got herself a bowl of noodles and helped herself to a plate of barbecued meat. Not only that, Zheng Xiaojue also brought her a plate of fruit and a glass of milk.

Zheng Xiaojue asked, ”Sister Xiao Yun, is this enough for you?”

”Almost enough, let’s start with this.” Zhou Yun said.

Zhou Yun first ate two slices of barbecued meat.

”Eating barbecue first thing in the morning is so great.” Zhou Yun remarked, ”Do you want some?”

Zheng Xiaojue replied, ”It’s so greasy, I can’t eat it.”

Zhou Yun: ”...”

Okay, it really was a bit greasy.

She finished off a plate of barbecue, then ate the remaining half bowl of noodles, and started on the fruit.

”I’m so full.” Zhou Yun burped.

Zheng Xiaojue knew Zhou Yun was trying to gain weight, so she couldn’t advise Zhou Yun to eat less.

”Eat slowly.” was all Zheng Xiaojue could say, ”Take it easy.”

Zhou Yun sighed, ”Who would’ve thought that I could eat to the point of wanting to throw up.”

Zheng Xiaojue took a sip of milk and said, ”Sister Xiao Yun, shall I get you a glass of orange juice to cut the grease?”

”Forget it, don’t get me orange juice, I still have a glass of milk here.” Zhou Yun asked, ”Have I put on some weight recently?”

”You have, you’ve got a round of flesh on your face now.” Zheng Xiaojue said very frankly, ”I think you look better like this now.”

Zhou Yun: ”I also think I’ve gained some weight. I noticed last night that I gained some fat around my waist. I didn’t have a speck of excess flesh before.”

”Lose the weight after this movie is done.” Zheng Xiaojue cheered Zhou Yun on.

After finishing breakfast, Zhou Yun was about to leave when suddenly someone came over, wanting to take a photo with her.

Zhou Yun said, ”I haven’t put on makeup today, I’m all disheveled.”

The other person said, ”Not at all, you look very beautiful, you’re my goddess.”

Flattered by that remark, Zhou Yun gladly took the photo.

”Thank you, thank you.” The person thanked her happily.

”Sigh, had I known there’d be so many people in the restaurant, I would have put on some makeup before coming down.” Zhou Yun said.

Zheng Xiaojue: ”Ah, Sister Xiao Yun, when you saw so many people in the restaurant just now, why didn’t you go up and touch up your makeup?”

Zhou Yun was at a loss for words: ”...”

Had she not thought of it? No, she was just lazy, and also narcissistic, believing that even without makeup, she was still beautiful.
