Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 490: Chapter 382: Returning From the Snow (Part 2)

The car first dropped Zhou Yun off at Song Chi’s house.

”Get some rest early, there’s no work tomorrow morning, you guys rest too, we’ll contact each other at noon.” Zhou Yun said to Cao Jun and Zheng Xiaojue before getting out of the car.

”Mm-hmm, Sister Xiao Yun, you rest well too.” Zheng Xiaojue waved her hand.

It was already midnight.

Zhou Yun went upstairs, entered the password, and opened the door.

The living room light was still on.

Zhou Yun put her suitcase near the shoe cabinet, changed into slippers, and walked in. She discovered that Song Chi had already fallen asleep on the sofa, and a script had fallen to the floor beneath it.

Zhou Yun softly picked up the script and placed it on the coffee table.

Luckily, the heating was on, so it wasn’t cold for Song Chi to sleep like this.

Zhou Yun picked up a neatly folded blanket nearby and gently covered Song Chi with it.

Just at that moment, the doorbell suddenly rang.

Zhou Yun got startled.

”Hello, delivery.” The delivery guy’s voice came from outside.

Song Chi opened his eyes and responded, ”Coming!”

Then he saw Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun and Song Chi stared at each other.

”When did you get back?” Song Chi asked in surprise.

Zhou Yun said, ”Just now, right behind the delivery guy.”

Song Chi sat up, ”I’ll go get the delivery first.”

During the day, Song Chi had told her that he would make soup for her and also order some barbecue.

But the timing of this barbecue delivery was too perfect.

Zhou Yun sat on the sofa, watching Song Chi bring in the delivery.

”Did you guess when I’d be back to order this?” Zhou Yun asked.

Song Chi put the bag on the coffee table, nodded, and said, ”I looked at the time, it was about right. Oh, and there’s also soup simmering in the kitchen. I’ll go take care of that; you tidy up the coffee table.”

Zhou Yun nodded, knelt in front of the coffee table, cleaned it up, and unpacked the delivery.

After a while, Song Chi came over with a bowl of rich-smelling soup and placed it on the coffee table.

”Wow, what kind of soup is this?”

”Pigeon soup, stewed by the auntie,” Song Chi said, ”you don’t need to diet these days, so you can take the opportunity to nourish yourself.”

Zhou Yun sat cross-legged on the carpet and said, ”Understood.”

Song Chi turned on the TV and said, ”I haven’t watched tonight’s update yet, but the real-time ratings tonight have gone up by 0.5%.”

Zhou Yun looked at Song Chi in surprise and asked, ”Really?”

Song Chi smiled, ”Of course it’s true, where would the fake come from? Your fans are powerful enough, all chanting to go watch ’Heart Inquiry’ first before squabbling, and it even boosted the TV ratings.”

According to the broadcast rules, the episodes updated tonight would not be available on video websites until midnight.

To join the debate battlefield as early as possible, many people had to stick to the TV, watching while battling with others online.

”So did the ’Heart Inquiry’ ratings break 1?”

”Yeah, the ratings broke 1,” Song Chi said, ”the purchasing director from Binjiang TV even sent me a red packet.”

Zhou Yun smiled relievedly, ”If every debate could bring this effect, I wouldn’t mind if they debated more often.”

”Now the TV station is starting to expand its publicity by targeting a broader audience. Currently, the main viewership for this drama is young people, but according to their survey, the middle-aged and elderly groups also have good feedback on the drama,” Song Chi explained, ”They want us, the main actors, to appear on some shows targeting older audiences to spread the publicity.”

”I can cooperate,” Zhou Yun said, ”but I will start filming in just over a week, is there enough time?”

”It should be fine,” Song Chi nodded, ”Several of Binjiang TV’s hit shows have scheduled slots for our crew to record shows and do promotions. It’s a pity that due to platform issues, we can’t appear on shows from other platforms.”

”It’s all competition between everyone, can’t help it,” Zhou Yun said. ”But Song Chi, when ’Life’ was being promoted, Sister Lan thought of a high-volume promotional tactic. It was very exhausting and needed a lot of energy. She gathered all filmmakers and Up-masters available in the market, contacted them for exclusive interviews and promotions for ’Life’. This method of promotion didn’t require me to make special time for their recordings, generally, they followed my schedule, found time to complete the interview content. It saved a lot of time but was very effective. Maybe each person’s fans number only a few hundred thousand to a few million, but added together, they really are a powerful force. ’Life’s’ advance box office was pulled up just like this.”

Song Chi nodded his head and said, ”I’ll talk to the promotion department about this.”

”Sure, anything you need me to do, just find me. As long as the timing is okay, I will cooperate,” Zhou Yun said. ”Especially now that the internet is so developed, even if I’m on the set, we can still do promotions through online Q&A, live streaming, and online interviews.”

”Don’t worry, with your popularity online these days, even if I wanted to give you a break, our drama’s promotion team wouldn’t agree to let you rest,” Song Chi said with a smile, ”They would love to have you running promotions every day.”

Zhou Yun snorted lightly, saying, ”I thought you’d be considerate and clear my schedule for me.”

”I did push some things back,” Song Chi said.

Zhou Yun immediately changed her tone, ”See, I knew you would push off my work. Gotcha.”

Song Chi: ”...”

”How do I find that no matter what I do, you always have something to say?”

”Yes, exactly,” Zhou Yun shamelessly nodded in agreement.

”...”

Zhou Yun sighed and said, ”Alright, I’ll shut up, you go ahead and eat.”
