Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 472: Chapter 371: No Way Out (4)

”Sigh.”

Zhou Yun asked, ”What is she doing now? Still filming?”

”No, a drama that was about to start shooting has been temporarily halted.” Zhou Lan said, ”I’m planning to send Wang Jing to try out for that drama to see if we can snatch an opportunity.”

Zhou Yun frowned: ”Did the production company stop using her because she’s pregnant?”

”Of course not, it’s not like you can’t play a young girl just because you’re pregnant. However, the production company is worried that once Lew Qingqing’s situation is exposed, it will generate negative public opinion. If that happens, they won’t be able to sell the drama and will suffer even greater losses.” Zhou Lan said, ”Lian Chengqian Film and Television’s ’Luoyan’ is also suffering because of it. They were already going to reshoot because of the male supporting actor’s issue, and now Lew Qingqing’s issue has arisen, putting things on hold again.”

Zhou Yun: ”If Lew Qingqing’s career is affected by this, I really don’t know what to say.”

”Don’t do anything stupid, like rashly coming out to speak up for her.” Zhou Lan said, ”If you want to be a celebrity, you have to accept the reality of being a market commodity. No matter how unreasonable the audience feedback is, you have to face it. In the end, Lew Qingqing is suffering the backlash of the persona she has cultivated over the years. If this happened to Ning Yao or Wei Ru Xue, the impact wouldn’t be as big. Neither of them has ever set up a pure and innocent persona for themselves, and their range of roles is much broader than Lew Qingqing’s. Wei Ru Xue can play villains and antagonists, while Lew Qingqing hasn’t taken that step yet.”

”What can Lew Qingqing do now to prevent all this from happening?” Zhou Yun asked. ”Sigh, forget it, as if I never asked. How could pregnancy just be ignored?”

Zhou Lan said, ”It’s not without solutions. The first option is for Lew Qingqing to terminate the pregnancy and deny everything, blaming it on rumors.”

Zhou Yun: ”...”

She knew very well that Lew Qingqing was determined to have the baby.

Initially, she came to Zhou Yun for help, wanting to avoid the company from forcing her to terminate the pregnancy, and find a way to continue working during her pregnancy.

”But the news is already out there, everyone knows, can she still deny it?” Zhou Yun asked.

Zhou Lan shook his head and said: ”Aside from the individual herself, who could have evidence to prove whether or not she’s pregnant?”

Zhou Yun felt that Zhou Lan made sense.

”What’s the second solution?”

”Lew Qingqing should immediately marry her boyfriend and then announce her pregnancy. This way, although the impact will still be significant, at least the risk can be controlled within an acceptable range, without leaving any room for criticism.” Zhou Lan said, ”Her boyfriend’s name is Li Qi, right? But to be honest, I think it’s very unlikely.”

”Why?”

Zhou Lan said: ”If they were in a relationship suitable for marriage, Lew Qingqing wouldn’t be so passive right now, with filming stopped and still no reaction from her. This can only suggest that she hasn’t settled things with Li Qi.”

Zhou Yun: ”From what you’re saying, Lew Qingqing practically has no way out.”

”Su Yan directly took over two of Lew Qingqing’s endorsements yesterday.” Zhou Lan said, ”Usually, Lew Qingqing would not sit idly by and would have retaliated by now, but up to this point, she has remained silent. So, if you say she has no way out, that’s not wrong at all.”
