Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Due to the eight-hour time difference between the two countries, it was already five in the morning when they saw the latest news in the country. Those who paid attention to the military news turned on the television and saw the latest news from Xinhua News Agency.

The camera swept past the faces of the refugees who had entered the camp. One could clearly see the joy on their faces. It was a stark contrast to the fear on the faces of the refugees who had yet to enter the camp.

The video was a little blurry. There was a crossfire less than ten kilometers away from the peacekeeping force camp. When the camera flashed past, one could even see flames burning the city.

Gunshots, artillery fire, running figures, the crying people of Libya… The country on the TV screen was in deep trouble. Even through the TV screen, one could feel the despair of destruction.

The more emotional ones were already wiping their tears with red eyes. The more rational ones shook their heads and let out a long sigh.

The mountains and rivers were shattered, the country was destroyed, and people were dead.

Very few people noticed a line of small words scrolling past the bottom of the screen. Ye Jian didn’t notice it at first, but when she went through the captions for the second time, she accidentally noticed it.

”According to the latest news, the three missing reporters from Wanhai have been successfully rescued by our country’s peacekeeping soldiers. Due to the rebellion of the government’s higher-ups, we have temporarily lost contact with the three reporters from Wanhai and the peacekeeping soldiers.”

Ye Jian’s heart tightened when she read that.

She was a soldier who had been to war-torn countries and knew what losing contact meant. The flames of war prevented the soldiers from returning to the camp. They also cut off the communication between the soldiers and the camp.

It was 9:00 pm in Libya, when the battle was at its most intense. Ye Jian, who had ended her night training, was no longer sleepy. She was worried about missing any updates on the peacekeeping soldiers.

Her heartbeat was a little abnormal. She was panicking and in a mess. There was also a sense of suffocation that made her breathing especially rapid. This feeling was very, very bad. It came again after a few years!

The first time it happened, Grandpa Gen passed away.

The second time it happened, Uncle Chen passed away.

The third time it happened, Captain Xia was in danger.

The fourth time… This was the fourth time!

Also, when she saw the inconspicuous captions, she suddenly felt suffocated. Captain Xia… Captain Xia… Ye Jian, who was panicking, muttered her lover’s name. As she clenched her fists secretly, a cold look appeared in her black and bright eyes.

The missing peacekeeping soldiers… most likely included Captain Xia. The rest of the people were probably the special forces of the Xueyu unit.

The Xueyu unit soldiers often faced life-or-death missions to rescue hostages.

Reporters from Wanhai had a special identity. Since China had agreed to send soldiers, they wouldn’t send ordinary peacekeeping soldiers. They would only send special forces soldiers with high success rates. The special forces of the Xueyu unit would be the country’s first choice.

Realizing that the soldiers who lost contact might be the special forces soldiers from the Xueyu unit, Ye Jian didn’t look too good.

When the deputy squad leader returned to the dormitory, she immediately noticed that Ye Jian didn’t look good. She thought that Ye Jian’s body was showing a strange reaction after parachuting. She hurriedly asked, ”Are you feeling unwell? You look bad.”

Hearing this, Ye Jian raised her hand and touched her face. Did she look bad?

”Thank you for your concern, deputy. I saw a piece of news just now and saw that our country’s peacekeeping soldiers have temporarily lost contact. I was a little flustered.”

Afraid that the deputy squad leader would think too much, Ye Jian replied truthfully, ”The most high-ranking official has rebelled, and the entire city is at war. I’m a little worried that the missing peacekeeping soldiers will be in danger.”

Although it was taking place in another country, this concerned the peacekeeping soldiers of their country. The female soldiers in the dormitory felt heavy-hearted.
