Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Z7, who was guarding the entrance, stared intently in front of him. When he saw the people through his night-vision binoculars, he gritted his teeth until his cheeks were as hard as rocks.

His expression was as cold as water as he said in a low voice, ”Damn it, they’re not anti-government militants. It’s government forces who are rebelling!”

They communicated in English the entire time. Major David’s heart sank as he drove away. He pressed his earpiece tightly and shouted, ”Comrades, hurry up and retreat! Don’t get involved in the battle between the two parties!”

Damn it, part of the government troops had rebelled. There was a problem with the government!

Reporter Chen, who was struggling in the car and sweating profusely, immediately received the latest news from the frontline. However, she couldn’t get out of the car or send the latest news back to Wanhai.

No, she had to get out of the car!

She panted heavily, no longer shouting at the top of her lungs. She didn’t have the energy to shout anymore. Her voice was so hoarse that it hurt. It was as if there was a fire burning in her throat. Her voice was already hoarse. If she continued shouting, she might lose her voice.

She stopped struggling. She needed to find an opportunity to get out of the car.

The Chinese soldiers entering and leaving the nightclub and the rebelling of the government forces were all top news. She had to think of a way to spread the news. Also, her camera…

Camera…

Where was her camera?

Where did her camera go?!

”Stop the car! I lost my camera! I want to find my camera!” Without a camera, it was useless even if she got the news first-hand. Reporting required authenticity, and the truth was often conveyed through the photos captured by the camera.

She didn’t even have her camera with her. Even if she knew the news, it was useless. Without evidence, no one would believe her.

As a reporter, she knew the importance of evidence and photos.

Reporter Chen, who was hitting the bulletproof armored vehicle with both hands, was as angry as a crazy lioness. When her hands hurt, she started kicking the inside of the car. ”I want to get out of the car. Stop, stop! You don’t have the right to restrict my personal freedom. You’re breaking the law!”

It was impossible for the car to stop. Major David even urged the soldier to speed up and contacted the soldiers in the vehicle in the middle to tell them to speed up and enter the safe zone.

Among the six reporters who were rescued, besides Reporter Chen from Wanhai, the other five were sitting in the middle car. The car in front was the vehicle that broke out of the encirclement. If anything happened, it would immediately cover the safety of the car in the middle. The car at the back was responsible for bringing up the rear and evacuating everyone safely.

Major David was in the car behind with the reporter who was giving him trouble.

The other party’s argument didn’t affect his decision. As a peacekeeping soldier, he didn’t have the right to participate in the battle between the two parties. He had to leave as soon as possible.

As for the soldiers from China, he prayed that they would be able to return safely.

The first car had just turned into an intersection when a huge explosion sounded in front of them. Flames soared into the sky, and rocks and scrap metal flew everywhere. Countless fragments splattered like rain along with the flames, adding another scar to this city that had been ravaged by war.

Major David, who was still praying for the Chinese soldiers, heard the explosion. Through the windshield, he saw a huge fire engulfing the surroundings.

In the car, Reporter Chen, who was struggling crazily, screamed in fear, ”Quick, quick… Get down, get down!”

She screamed involuntarily and grabbed Major David’s arm tightly. Her eyes were filled with fire, reflecting her fear.
