Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

A call from the main channel was not a good thing. It usually meant that something major had happened. White Crane quickly entered the public channel so that all his comrades in the car would know immediately.

The car drove slowly on the dilapidated street. Xia Jinyuan, G3, and the other members of the Xueyu unit stared coldly at the surrounding environment as the car drove. In this city where people needed to bring guns on the streets, they needed to keep a clear mind at all times. If not, they might become victims. It might not be safe even if they were sitting in a bulletproof armored vehicle.

Even if they were driving a tank, they might encounter an anti-tank missile.

A week ago, the Italian peacekeeping team went on a patrol. An anti-tank missile equipped with a long-wave infrared fuse was fired from the ruins on the side of the street. It directly hit the tank in front, which exploded on the spot. The soldiers and deputy commander were all sacrificed. Another armored vehicle was blown up by the airwaves, causing three people to be seriously injured. Two of them were slightly injured. They were still lying in Hospital Without Borders. The Chinese team hadn’t heard anything about them.

Even if there had been a sacrifice, they probably wouldn’t be informed.

There was news from the main channel. Three reporters from Wanhai and two British reporters had disappeared after entering the war zone. The last location was shown to be an underground cafeteria in the South District. It was only eight kilometers away from the war zone a few days ago. The authorities of Wanhai contacted their country and asked for help to find the missing Wanhai reporters.

”Since the British reporters are missing, wouldn’t it be easier to ask the British peacekeeping forces for help to find the missing reporters? Why would they look for us?”

White Crane was puzzled. He raised his voice and replied coldly.

T6 straightened his body and frowned as he recalled. He leaned forward and whispered to Xia Jinyuan, ”Could it be that the missing reporters from Wanhai are the ones who passed by our Chinese peacekeeping force two days ago? Two men and a woman. They spoke in a weird tone. They said that the equipment of our peacekeeping soldiers is a few levels worse than the equipment of their Wanhai soldiers.”

Xia Jinyuan didn’t answer T6. He entered the channel and asked calmly, ”Two men and one woman?”

”That’s right. It’s two men and one woman. They’re all reporters from the government television station in Wanhai. The woman is quite famous in Wanhai. She often writes critical news. Her words are sharp, and her angles are tricky. She likes to provoke conflicts and incite debates.”

The female reporter was highlighted. It was obvious that she was the main character among the three of them.

Xia Jinyuan stretched his legs lazily like a sleeping lion that had eaten its fill in the afternoon. ”Is there anything else? This doesn’t seem easy.”

The people at the main station understood what he was trying to say. His comrades in the vehicle also understood.

Her words were sharp and her angles were tricky. She liked to provoke conflicts. They didn’t want to look for such a female reporter.

The headquarters could understand. If it were them, they wouldn’t be happy either. However, they had no choice. The higher-ups ordered them to go to the South District to look for the three reporters from Wanhai.

After cutting off the communication, the gloomy White Crane wasn’t even in the mood to drive. ”What should we do? Should we save them or not?”

The six comrades from the Xueyu unit looked at Xia Jinyuan. K7 silently filled the magazine with bullets. Should they save them or not? Could they reject this task?

They couldn’t.

Xia Jinyuan took out a piece of chewing gum from his pocket and threw it into his mouth. He turned around and looked at his brothers who had gone through life and death with him. ”I want to reject them, but I can’t. Let’s go take a look first. The British have already sent soldiers over, so let’s go meet them.”
