Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

The life-threatening gunshots had no intention of stopping. The wife, who was hugging her husband’s arm, lowered her head and bit her lower lip, letting out suppressed cries.

”Mom, don’t be afraid. These uncles will help us go home. We’ll see Grandma and Grandpa soon.” The little boy heard his mother’s sobbing and thought that she was afraid. He comforted her like a little adult, making the couple cry.

K7 had come down. Everyone could retreat.

”Go, go, go!” G3, who was watching his surroundings and covering the retreat, said in a low voice. The few of them started gathering in one direction from a scattered inverted triangle, including Z7, who was watching the entrance closely.

Xia Jinyuan, White Crane, T6, V8, K7, and the family of three they saved were together. After G3 and Z7 gathered, they quickly approached Xia Jinyuan.

The father hugged his son tightly. Amidst the sound of bullets, he kept kissing the child’s forehead and comforting him in a low voice, ”Don’t be afraid, baby. Don’t make a sound. Hold me tightly. We’ll protect you. Don’t be afraid.”

As Chinese citizens, they had never encountered war before they immigrated. They even felt that war was far away from them.

After coming to Libya, they started a business that was the most profitable but also the most dangerous. They would die at any time while providing drinks for Libya’s nightclubs.

Wealth came from danger. As for the husband, he never expected that he would almost lose his wife and child.

The mother, who retreated after hearing the gunshots, was shocked. She grabbed her husband’s clothes tightly the entire time and touched the child’s hand and face from time to time.

She never thought that she would almost lose her life when she came to Libya with her child in a fit of rage.

Xia Jinyuan didn’t know the story of the family. The most important thing now was to leave. They couldn’t leave easily and were surrounded.

He and G3 took turns moving forward. From the dark street, they used the ruins as cover to leave the night scene that had become the center of the firefight.

”Find a place to take a breather first before thinking of a way to sneak out.” Xia Jinyuan, whose back was pressed against the wall, turned around and looked at the man who was protecting his wife and child. He needed to send the three of them out.

Outside, the rebellious government forces had already exchanged fire. They were lucky enough to escape from the nightclub, but they didn’t manage to escape the bullets of the rebellious government forces. Screams kept coming.

They passed through the chaotic crowd—crawling, squatting, and running until they finally came out of the nightclub alive. However, they didn’t expect that what awaited them outside was still death. There was no way to escape and nowhere to hide.

The rebellious government forces had obviously made preparations in advance to catch the government off guard. They surged out from many places in the city and started a large-scale war.

The location of the nightclub was just the signal for them to start a war.

Flames soared into the sky above the city. The various peacekeeping forces had entered Class A vigilance. The Chinese and British peacekeeping forces were still anxiously waiting for their comrades who had gone out to rescue the reporters to return.

Major David and the rest had already abandoned their cars. They no longer considered escaping in cars. The huge cars would become the main target of the rebel government forces.

They destroyed the vehicles’ oil lines and control systems. The expensive armored vehicles became scrap metal that couldn’t be driven anymore to prevent them from falling into the hands of the rebel government.

They were not far away from Xia Jinyuan, but it was difficult to gather them. Xia Jinyuan had the family of three while Major David had the six reporters, which included one uncooperative reporter. She was the only woman present.
