Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Fang Xin blinked. She seemed to have thought of something and quickly went to the deputy squad leader’s side. She smiled too. She knew what Lu Hui wanted to do.

Three days of training was enough for the female soldiers to clarify the truth. It was also enough for Lu Hui to know that she had lost. Now, she no longer felt that she, a soldier who had been here for more than two years, was stronger than Ye Jian. Even if she lost, she had to lose fair and square!

Caught off guard, Ye Jian took two steps to the back. She turned her head and glanced at the female soldiers standing on both sides. From their expressions, she knew what Lu Hui wanted to do.

She turned around and placed her hands on Lu Hui’s shoulders. There was a smile in her clear black eyes. ”I know what you want to do. There’s no need to kowtow. I can accept your apology.”

Seeing that Ye Jian had guessed it, Lu Hui, who was not shy to begin with, became more direct. ”That won’t do. Soldiers have to keep our word.”

”I think that as soldiers, it’s beneath our pride to kneel casually for a bet. After realizing our mistake, we have many ways to reflect on ourselves. We don’t have to choose the most unyielding method.

”Even if you fulfill your promise by kneeling and apologizing today, you would’ve lost your pride. This is a very stupid thing to do.”

The deputy squad leader said, ”Ye Jian is right. It’s fine to make mistakes, but it’s unacceptable to lose the pride of a soldier.”

Lu Hui frowned and looked at Ye Jian intently. ”Ye Jian, I know that you’re looking out for me. Although you’re right, I made such a ridiculous bet because I looked down on you. That’s why I made the bet without any scruples. I know that kneeling is beneath the pride of a soldier, but I want to teach myself a lesson. From now on, I want to remember not to underestimate my enemy at any time.”

She would teach herself a lesson that she would never forget in her entire life. She would remember it and never do it again.

Her attitude was especially sincere. Ye Jian could feel her determination to admit her mistake through her eyes. Even though she knew that kneeling was not honorable, Lu Hui still insisted on paying for her mistakes and decisions. Ye Jian admired Lu Hui’s honesty.

She smiled and said, ”If you really want to kneel down to show your sincerity in apologizing, I think you can choose another more sincere way. For example, follow me closely during training in the future. You’ll do whatever I do. How about that? Are you afraid?”

”That’s right, Lu Hui. I feel that this is good. In the future, you can train with Ye Jian. I feel that it’s not bad.”

”Just listen to our advice. Don’t kneel. You’re in the wrong, and so are we. How about this? The few of us will bow to Ye Jian and apologize. How about that?” Li Xiushui suggested.

The deputy squad leader felt that Li Xiushui was right. As the deputy squad leader, she was also in the wrong. ”That’s right. Since we need to admit our mistake, let’s admit our mistake together. As the deputy squad leader, I need to reflect on myself and apologize to Ye Jian first.”

”Yes, yes, yes. I’ve wanted to apologize to Ye Jian for a long time.” Tang Liyin nodded quickly. She was in the wrong too. It was just that… she was too embarrassed to say it. Alas, she was awkward and shy. She was also afraid that Ye Jian wouldn’t accept her apology. The more she thought about it, the less courage she had to stand up.
