Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

The next morning, when Lu Hui woke up, she saw that Ye Jian had washed up and pushed the door open. After saying ’good morning’, she seemed to have thought of something. Her eyes widened as she shouted in shock, ”:-Lieutenant Ye, did you say something very important to me last night?”

Early in the morning, the dormitory became lively because of Lu Hui’s energetic voice. It was not time to gather yet. The female soldiers, who had already woken up, sat up with bright eyes. What important matter? Why didn’t they know?

They only remembered that last night, Ye Jian came back quite late and woke them up. They were so tired that they took off their clothes and went to bed with their eyes closed. They didn’t have any impression of what happened after that.

Ye Jian, who was used to waking up early, put down her toiletries and smiled at Lu Hui, who could still remember what happened in the middle of the night after waking up. She raised her eyebrows and revealed a playfulness that Lu Hui and the rest had never seen before. ”I don’t think I said anything important.”

That was right. Ye Jian only said that the ground was cold and asked them to go back to bed to sleep. Nothing else happened.

”What important things were said? Why don’t I have any impression of it? Lu Hui, did you remember wrongly?” Li Xiushui asked. She really didn’t know what had happened.

They were in the same dormitory. Was Lu Hui the only one who knew what happened?

Tang Liyin smiled too. ”I don’t know either. Lu Hui, did something happen in your dream? For instance, were you beaten up by male soldiers in your dream?”

Fang Xin, whose bed was under Ye Jian’s, got up silently. She folded her clothes as she listened carefully. She thought for a moment and remembered that Ye Jian didn’t say anything special.

”You definitely said something important! I’ll have to think about it.” Lu Hui got up from the bed and nimbly made her bed. In a short while, she had folded the quilt into a square ”tofu block”. It was so angular that it was obvious that she had put a lot of effort into learning how to properly fold quilts.

Soon, the other female soldiers got up one by one. They arranged their ’tofu blocks’ and smoothed out their bed sheets. Li Xiushui, who had smoothed out her bed sheets until there were no wrinkles, sighed. ”After entering the military unit, my OCD was satisfied. In the past, when I was studying, I liked to line up the towels, toiletries, buckets, and washbasins in a straight line. Unfortunately, the arrangement would only last three seconds before they were messed up. Later, my father said that my illness would definitely be cured in the military unit, so I came.”

She looked around the dormitory and saw that everything was arranged in a straight line. Li Xiushui felt her mood lift.

The military unit was indeed a paradise for obsessive-compulsive people. Even the buns in the cafeteria were placed neatly like bricks. No matter how you looked at it, it was comfortable.

Lu Hui was still thinking about what Ye Jian said last night. She wasn’t prepared for Li Xiushui to change the topic, so her train of thought was interrupted. She couldn’t remember what important thing Ye Jian said last night.

She was sure that Ye Jian did say something back then. She was just too sleepy and didn’t take it to heart.

Seeing that she was still pulling her hair and forcing herself to remember, Guo Cui got down from the top berth and smiled. ”With your memory, you might not be able to remember it even if you pull out all your hair.”

”Let’s think about what tricks Captain Lei will play today and be mentally prepared. If we get beaten up like last night, we’ll be paralyzed in less than a week.”

The topic was a little heavy. The female soldiers, who had been chatting and laughing just now, instantly became quiet.
