Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 249: Chapter 238: Be Serious

”Dating should progress gradually; swimsuits can come later. Let’s start with watching a movie.”

I almost believed his nonsense.

Yu Minglang, who claims to be a decent person, held Qian’s hand, brought her to a private screening room, closed the door, and immediately pressed her against the door.

”Qian...”

”Aren’t you taking it step by step?” Qian asked mischievously, turning her head to avoid his eager lips.

Yu Minglang used his hand to turn her face towards him, eagerly leaning in.

The lights in the screening room hadn’t even been turned on, and in the pitch-black setting, the two were impatiently longing to embrace each other. In the quiet space, only the sound of their heartbeats could be heard.

His hands started to misbehave too, and under his strength, Qian inadvertently moved, accidentally hitting the switch on the wall, making the room suddenly bright.

Yu Minglang quickly withdrew his hands, instead helping to tidy the hair on her cheeks.

If not for her disrupted breathing, and the currents in her body yet to dissipate, she might have thought everything that happened in the dark was another parallel universe’s affair.

His breathing was still a bit erratic, as he tried hard to adjust, his gaze on her heating up slightly. Upon meeting Qian’s clear eyes, he let out a sigh.

”Qian, when will you grow up...”

”I’m already an adult.”

”No... it’s still too early.” He helplessly buried his head in her shoulder.

”When you graduate from university, we’ll get married, okay?” He found that his self-control might not be as strong as he thought.

Qian glanced at a certain part of him more excited than his emotions, hinting at something.

”Because of this? You don’t have to wait for marriage for this, right?”

”No, we have to wait until marriage.” Yu Minglang was a principled man; he could kiss and look but not go further.

”Really?” Qian seemed to think of something and gave a playful smile.

”It’s a principle, I’ll protect you.” Yu Minglang pecked her hair, held her hand, and sat her on the leather sofa in the room, grabbing a DVD to decide what to watch.

”The spitting image.” Qian muttered to herself.

”What did you say?”

”Nothing, is there ’Ring’?”

”Wait, let me see.”

Their conversation was exactly the same as what Yu Minglang said to Qian in a past life.

In a past life, she chased after this guy, and he always hit the brakes at critical moments, refusing to take the last step, insisting on a serious marriage proposal, claiming he wanted to save the best for after marriage.

Qian, being a very characterful person, refused his old-fashioned thinking, found an opportunity to get him a bit drunk, and sealed the deal.

The next morning, when the guy woke up, he looked at the blood on the sheets without a word, turned around with a dark face, and left. Qian was fuming, thinking she hadn’t even complained about the guy’s rookie skills, and he dared to despise her for lack of experience?

But in less than half a day, he came back, holding a ring box, knelt down, and proposed, startling Qian. It was just a night’s sleep, why the serious business?

This life was similar; sticking to principles, all pent up, yet still holding on stubbornly.

”Hard and soft again, just different forms.” Qian was talking about frozen pears.

She had used frozen pears to hint to Teng Shuixian, her father’s attitude had changed, but it’s still her father, the love hadn’t changed.

However, Yu Minglang heard it as something else...

He was flipping through horror DVDs, having just extinguished that wicked fire in his heart, only to hear Qian muttering about soft and hard beside him.

The rebellious part of him again defied organizational leadership, heading towards an uncontrollable direction, as Qian looked up to see his helpless expression.

”Qian, stop teasing me... Can’t make mistakes, we’re not married yet...”

”Pfft!” Qian was amused by his pitiful expression, reaching out to ruffle his hair.

”Come on, let’s watch Zhenzi, Kayako, all sorts of horror ghost girls to extinguish the evil fire in your heart.”

”The most wicked female ghost is you, still a seductive ghost, haunting me every day.” Yu Minglang muttered softly.

”What did you say?”

”Nothing, let’s watch!” Yu Minglang stood up, face turning green, pressing the service bell, shortly after the server came over.

”Get some ice water, the kind with ice cubes.”

The wicked fire, once ignited, couldn’t be stopped, had to be cooled down with ice.

Yu Minglang looked at Qian, who was gloating, and added another line.

”And some popcorn, the hot kind.”

”Alright, brother, please wait a moment.” The server turned to leave.

”Ice and hot popcorn again, what are you trying to do, an ice and fire double heaven?”

This little fire starter!

Yu Minglang pointed a finger at Qian, making a fierce expression, Qian obediently zipped her lips with a motion, stopping teasing him.

Yu Minglang angrily put in the DVD, the private room had a projector as big as a wall, with quite a good sound effect, he watched the beginning, then suddenly turned to face Qian, asking sternly.

”This ice and fire double heaven, how do you know about it?”

”Pfft!” Qian couldn’t hold back her laughter.

”Be serious, answer my question!”

His pure Mei, how did she know such impure things!

”How many strokes in ’love’?”

”10 strokes.” Yu Minglang wrote it down, calculating the strokes.

”How many strokes in ’hate’?”

”9 strokes— no, don’t change the subject!” Trying to use this to test a prodigy wouldn’t work.

”Love has just one more stroke than hate, but the result is an ice and fire double heaven. What I meant was that you’re giving me popcorn full of love, and you’re drinking ice water. Wouldn’t you hate me? So, I only like love, I don’t want hate, that’s what I meant, what are you thinking?”

Yu Minglang stiffly turned around, Qian secretly delighted, see, it’s always good to read a bit of chicken soup for the soul, it can be used as a distraction at critical times, right?

Suddenly, Yu Minglang grabbed Qian’s shoulders, lowered his head, and kissed her hard.

”You little thing, do you think I’m like your silly brother? Don’t try to fool me again in the future!” He almost got tricked by her! This crafty little girl!

Yu Minglang tapped Qian’s forehead, seriously warning, seeing her smiling face, added another sentence.

”Those books, DVDs, you’re not allowed to watch anymore, they’re unhealthy, you’re still young, too early to be exposed to these, understand?” he lectured earnestly.

”Then you’re also unhealthy, where’s your hand going? I should stay away from you.” Qian pretended to hide, but he pulled her back into his arms.

”What are you hiding from, watching ghost movies without holding hands, you’ll be scared.”

”Nonsense, it’s you who’ll be scared, right?”

”If I don’t kiss you and make you suffocate, you can’t keep your mouth shut, come, give me a kiss!”

On the screen, Zhenzi was desperately climbing, hey, you two watching the movie, could you be more serious, give a scared expression, would you? You’re watching a horror movie, can you be a bit more serious please...
