Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 211: Chapter 211: Sorry to You (Birthday + Extra)

Dong Yi felt very puzzled when talking to Qian about this matter.

”Qian, didn’t you say you couldn’t cure it yourself?”

Qian nodded, ”It was a case of a blind cat hitting on a dead mouse.”

Even Qian didn’t expect that Mr. Yu’s mental password would be a simple phrase: Son, I understand you.

Mr. Yu was too reticent and possessed the ability to resist therapy. Qian couldn’t yet manage to delve into such a person’s heart, but Dong Yi inadvertently found the key to communication between the Yu father and son.

”You and Mr. Yu are really destined, he just happened to save you, and you, in turn, saved him.”

”I didn’t really help much...” Dong Yi felt a bit embarrassed.

Qian patted her, ”If you hadn’t set the foundation, Mr. Yu wouldn’t have had the epiphany and Mr. Yu might truly have bid farewell to the blue skies.”

”Then Qian, can you analyze the reasons for my uncle’s behavior?”

”Right now, it’s like being Zhuge Liang after the fact, but I deduce he doesn’t hate the blue sky, but himself. It’s a subconscious manifestation. Of course, if you asked me to analyze before he untied this knot, I couldn’t have done it either.”

”Hate himself?”

”Yes, before Yu Mingyi didn’t show any signs of hating the blue sky. After a colleague left him a task, he began to foster subconscious guilt. His way of punishing himself was to marry an unsuitable woman. But after marriage, he realized his parents were worrying over his issues, so subconsciously, he started to dislike himself more profoundly. This idea eventually compelled him to begin disliking things he once loved.”

But all of this Yu Mingyi couldn’t detect himself because he had relatively good self-restraint and had the ability to resist psychological therapy. Even a psychologist couldn’t spot it. Yet unexpectedly, Dong Yi stumbled upon the solution.

”It sounds somewhat complex.” Dong Yi felt heartache hearing it. It wasn’t his fault; why should he be like this?

”Many people think they live very clearly, look down on those with psychological issues, but don’t know that not having a mental illness isn’t because you’re broad-minded, but simply lucky not to encounter anything. More people are already mentally unhealthy or even distorted, but these individuals never believe they have issues; they think everyone else is peculiar.”

”So, Grandpa says understanding him, and he’s fine?”

”Yes, he must have been especially admiring of his father in his heart. I need to reflect on myself; I surprisingly didn’t cure this case and gave up too easily.”

”Qian, you know you aren’t as indifferent as you appear, don’t you?”

”What?” Qian was a bit taken aback by Dong Yi’s words.

”You said you couldn’t cure it a while ago, but you were under a lot of pressure. You even talked in your sleep for several nights.”

”Huh?” Qian didn’t even know.

”Shi Touyu noticed you kept talking in your sleep, so she tried to find you something to do, Qian, please don’t be mad at her, okay?”

”Why do all of you think I’d be mad because of this?”

”I haven’t seen her these days; you didn’t eat together, so I thought you were angry.” Dong Yi was very perceptive.

Qian laughed, ”If I genuinely dislike someone, I’d directly fight them, not engage in a cold war. I actually want to eat with her; can you find her?”

These days Shi Yu didn’t know what she was busy with, always absent from the dorm and even mealtime. When she was asleep, Xiaoyu came back.

It’s as if she’s avoiding someone; who knows what’s up with this girl.

The next day, Qian was halfway through class, feeling a bit unwell, so she returned to the dorm early and immediately saw Shi Yu sneaking around in front of her bed.

Qian tiptoed over, patted her shoulder, and frightened Shi Yu into dropping what she was holding.

”What are you doing?”

Qian saw her stuffing small crystals, a white crystal ’Ma Lan Hua’ anklet, into her pillow, which was quite exquisite.

”Nothing, I’m leaving now!” Shi Yu, realizing she was caught by Qian, turned around to run but was dragged back and pressed onto the bed by Qian.

”Why have you been so mysterious lately? If you’re giving me something, why not directly, instead of hiding it?” She really guessed right; Shi Yu was indeed avoiding her.

”I... Qian, I’m sorry, I...” Shi Yu said a few words, her eyes suddenly turned red, and she hugged Qian tightly, refusing to let go.

”What’s wrong? Hey, don’t cry, your snot’s going to hit my neck.” Qian patted her; what’s wrong with this kid?

”I feel so useless; I constantly mess things up with good intentions... this Ma Lan Hua represents friendship. I even asked someone to bless it... I hope you don’t hate me...”

Qian couldn’t help but laugh and cry, ”Hey, Shi Touyu, did someone trick you again? Can Ma Lan Hua even be blessed?”

When did this thing come to represent friendship? This is the next silly symbol from Shi Touyu after the big-mouth monkey.

”Putting what’s meant to be worn on feet into the pillow, how’s that interesting?”

”...”

”If you have something to say, just say it. Keeping things hidden isn’t pleasant; it’s not like you.”

Shi Yu saw Qian just like before, suddenly feeling even more remorseful, holding onto Qian as she cried.

”Qian, I shouldn’t have let you act in the stage play. I thought it would make you happier, but instead, it caused such a big mess. It’s all my fault.”

Qian thought she was referring to the Yu Minglang photo mishap leading to her acting, patting her.

”It’s not a big deal; if I didn’t want to do it, who could force me? It’s okay, don’t feel bad.”

”They used your photo for the poster. I even fought with the president because of it, but I couldn’t retrieve what they’d sent out... Do you particularly hate me?”

”The photo?” Qian was stunned. Shi Yu nervously explained the photo incident.

”That bastard used my photo without my consent and even dared to offer me lousy lunch. Let’s go, we’ll bust up his crappy club together!”

”I’ve already busted it up... I scratched him...”

”Pfft!” Qian laughed.

Making Shi Touyu scratch someone, it seems like the landowner’s daughter was genuinely angry.

”Qian, this is my fault; I didn’t keep an eye on him. It’s all my bad, you can hit me as much as you want, just don’t ignore me...”

”Hey, who’s ignoring who right now? You’ve been so busy these last few days; if I wanted to find you, could I?”

”You’re not mad at me?” Shi Yu looked up at her.

Qian wiped away her tears, ”Why wouldn’t I be upset? You ran off avoiding me because of someone else’s mistake, making Dong Yi think I’m petty and alienating you. This is too much; you need to treat me to skewers at the night market, consecutively for three days.”

”I can treat you for three months...” Shi Yu looked at Qian in disbelief. Qian’s personality is so straightforward. She thought she’d want to cut ties forever or something.

”Qian, you forgave me so easily?”

”I won’t let go of a hawk without a rabbit, no skewers, no friendship. The photo incident isn’t your fault; it’s the president’s decision. I’ll deal with him later. You wanted me to focus elsewhere because of the stress over Minglang’s illness, right?”
