Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 794:- Spear Hero

”Sir, what do you want to talk about?” Charles asked with a stiff smile. His expression was stiff because he was nervous and worried. If he displeased this man, then he was going to die before he could even take out his sword to fight. ”I am here with a proposal. A plan for both of us to join hands in destroying the Istarin Empire.”

Hearing this, Charles smiled.

The fear of being in front of a Calamity Class Cultivator that he had in his mind and heart instantly disappeared. Instead, his heart was filled with happiness. Although Charles did not show it to anybody, since he learned how strong Aditya was, he has been really worried and concerned. Even if he managed to raise an army of 20 million or even 50 million, that still might not be enough if they cannot do something about the Dragon Monarch. After knowing how strong Aditya was, Charles gave up on his dream of conquering the Istarin Empire and becoming the true Powerhouse in the Six Continents. However, he never said this to anybody since if people knew that the Emperor had given up on his grand ambition, his reputation might have been affected. Despite how it looked, Charles really cared about his reputation. He was different from Garrick. Charles always saw him at the top. The difference between them is that Charles wanted to make the Dune Sovereignty Great so that the whole world would fear, respect, and admire him. He is someone who has a bigger ego than this entire Empire. It was his prideful nature that drove his twisted ideologies to be the very best. ”Sir, I donʼt mean to offend you, but even a Calamity Class cultivator canʼt defeat the Dragon Monarch.” There was no way for Charles to know exactly how strong Aditya was. Many Calamity Class cultivators have fought Aditya, thinking that they would be the ones who would defeat him. Yet, none have managed to defeat him. The Echo Nexus Empireʼs strongest general in history, who was also said to be the strongest Cultivator in the Six Continent, got defeated by the Dragon Monarch. It was because of this General that the Dune Sovereignty never dared to look towards the Dying Isle Continent. In the Beast Continent, the Holder of the World Treasure appeared. Everyone thought that the entire geopolitical landscape of the Beast Continent and the regions surrounding it was going to change. But even the Vampire King, who has been silently growing his strength over many centuries, fell in front of the Istarin Empire. Just a few weeks later, the nine-headed Hydra also fell. ʼSo far, Aditya has defeated three Calamity Class cultivators. The first one might have been weaker than the Vampire King and the Nine-Headed Hydra, but he was still a Calamity Class powerhouse.ʼ ʼEven the Legendary Nine-Headed Hydra wasnʼt enough to defeat Aditya.ʼ

Charles looked at the Calamity Class cultivator before him and thought. ʼBy trusting you, I will be taking a massive risk. If you fall short in front of him, then I am going to lose everything.ʼ ʼSo many strong opponents have talked big before fighting the Istarin Emperor, but all of them have fallen in front of him. I donʼt want the same thing to repeat again.ʼ

Charles wanted to be more blunt with his words, but knowing that this man could easily destroy him, he said his words as politely as possible. ”Oh, really!! I know that he is a Calamity Class player, but that doesnʼt mean I am going to lose to him.” Robert said while tightly clenching his fists. ʼI can feel the power flowing within me.ʼ ʼI am even stronger than my old self during the Demon Invasion.ʼ

ʼMy master has made me this strong.ʼ

”Sir, you donʼt understand.”

”This man just recently defeated a Nine-Headed Hydra while protecting his own Empire.” Charles sounded very desperate. ”I am more than happy to work with you, but I need the reassurance that you are strong enough to defeat my enemy. Otherwise, the risk that I will be taking by working with you is not worth losing everything, including my own life.” After saying these words, Charles slightly regretted his words. He feared that he might have accidentally offended this figure. But there was no other choice. He cannot just put everything that he has worked 15000+ years to build at risk. ʼI have spent over 15,000 years building this kingdom. There is no way that I will take such a huge risk. I am not placing my bets on someone whom I just met. I need some kind of reassurance that you will win.ʼ Charles thought in his mind. If he made the wrong choice, then his 15000+ years old Empire is going to fall within a few days. Hearing Charlesʼs words, Robert wasnʼt offended. ”Tell me more about this Dragon Monarch.”

”And stop calling me Sir. It feels too polite. Call me by name.” ”What is your name?” Charles asked with a confused look. Hearing this, Robert froze. ”You donʼt know me?” He asked with a look of expectation. ”Should I?” Charles asked back. He instantly felt that he was being too bold. ”You seriously donʼt know the Spear Hero?” Robert felt that Charles was lying. At least the Emperor of such an old Empire should know him. ”There were many Spear Heroes. Which one am I supposed to remember?” Charles honestly replied. ”Besides, if I remember correctly, the Ages of Heroes ended with the end of the Demon Invasion. There shouldnʼt be any Heroes in this Era unless youʼre from that Era.”

Hearing this, Robert smirked and asked. ”What do you think?” Hearing this, Charles was shocked. ʼHow stupid!! I should have realized this much earlier.ʼ ”Can you know your name? Perhaps, then I will remember your name.” Charles asked in a respectful tone. ”The name is Robert Antony.” Hearing this, Charles did not need to think about remembering his name. Among all the heroes, Robertʼs story is unique. Because of this reason, he always remembered his name.

”Youʼre the Spear Hear from the Ice Mystic Clan.” During the Demon Invasion, there was a powerful clan named the Ice Mystic Clan. Every member of this clan was born with the ability to use the Ice Mystic Flame. The Ice Mystic Flame is one of the most powerful Flames in the entire world. Another reason why the Ice Mystic Clan became so known during this Invasion Time is because multiple Heroes came from this clan. But Robert was the most powerful one. He was said to be unstoppable. Even if other Heroes from the Ice Mystic Clan were to join hands, it still wouldnʼt be enough to defeat Robert in a battle. Although Robert was happy to be known he still felt that something was wrong with the way Charles was speaking of his clanʼs name. ”Did something happen to my clan?” Robert asked in a worried tone. After all, Robert never really lived till the end of the war. ”You donʼt know?” Charles asked back, looking confused as well. ”I donʼt know!! I never really lived long enough to see the end of the Demon invasion.”

Charles also knew this. This is what made Robertʼs story stand out from other Heroes. ”But...!!” For a moment, Charles felt overwhelmed by the number of questions, doubts, and confusion in his mind. ”Letʼs sit down first.” Robert nodded and sat opposite Charles. ”Would you like to drink anything?” Charles asked Robert.

”Itʼs alright!! I cannot taste anything, so there is no need to trouble yourself.” Hearing this, Charles now had another question. ”Alright!! Letʼs begin. But if you donʼt mind first let me ask you some questions then we can proceed with our plan.” Hearing this, Robert nodded. ”I thought the mighty Spear Hero fell into the Demon Raceʼs trap. Itʼs not just me, but the whole world assumes that you died that day. The history pages have written you as dead.” ”How did you survive? And if you did, how come you donʼt know anything about your clan?”

”Wait a minute!! Do you even know how the Demon Invasion ended?” Charles ended up asking more questions than he had initially expected. ”Letʼs answer one question at a time.” ”Yes, I did fall for their trap. But it wasnʼt enough to kill me.”

”What exactly happened?” Hearing this, Robert finally frowned.

”Can you shut that stupid trashy mouth of yours for 5 minutes so that I can peacefully answer everything?” Hearing this, Charles awkwardly nodded his head. No one dared to say such words to the Emperor of the Dune Sovereignty. Yet, in front of the ancient Hero, Charles was behaving like a child. ”To answer your first question.” ”I did fall for their trap, but I also did manage to get out of their trap.” ”They set a powerful Rune Formation. The Formation was designed to drain all of my Mana while amplifying their Demonic powers. Though the formation worked, I was able to figure out the weakness of the formation and destroy it.” ”But at that time, my left hand was also severed. This meant that I had also lost my storage ring.”

”After taking out hundreds of 5th-order Demons, I was about to leave when one of the Demon Generals blocked my path.” ”Our battle continued for almost 3 hours.”

”In the end, I was very close to being killed. Fighting with one hand had really put me in a disadvantage.”

”But instead of killing me, he offered me a chance.”

”What chance?” Charles couldnʼt help but ask. When he saw Robertʼs cold look, he shut his mouth immediately. It was clear that this Spear Hero did not like being interrupted when he was speaking.

”He wanted a skill that I was really good at. In exchange, although he cannot let me live as it would be the same as betraying his Demon Kind, he was going to freeze me in Ice for thousands of years until someone found my body and freed me.”

”Death was the last thing that I wanted, so I agreed.” ”So I was trapped in Ice for thousands upon thousands of years.”

”When I was freed, I was in a completely different era.”

”Now it makes sense why you suddenly disappeared.”

Robert nodded and then continued.

”I could not feel his face.” ”Your Second question was, How did I survive, and why I donʼt know what happened to my clan? Let me answer this question.”

”Around a few centuries back, a man whose name I cannot reveal for obvious reasons found my frozen body. He brought me to a facility where his men worked hard to wake me up.”

”I was in a state that is very similar to hibernation.”

”You know what hibernation is right?” Charles felt like Robert was mocking him with this question. But he nodded his head. ”Good!!”

”So when I woke up, I found myself in an unknown place.” ”At that time, my almost was too broken.”

”After countless years of being trapped in ice, I learned that the ice has been slowly damaging my body. After countless years of being trapped in ice, my body was broken to the point where I was only going to survive not more than a few months. The Ice was never meant to melt or wake me up.”

”That Demon Bastard lied to me.”

”I was meant to die while being trapped in Ice.”

However, Robert looked calm. ”Charles, youʼre a Peak 5th-order cultivator. You should know just how durable the body of a Peak 5th-order cultivator is. Each time we cultivators break through a new order, our bodies keep becoming more and more durable. Otherwise, there is no way that our normal bodies would be able to handle the strain and pressure of using our powers.”

”Even that body of mine was broken to the point where even a normal humanʼs body appeared more healthier and stronger than mine.”

”I had no hope of surviving, but my current master decided to offer me a chance.”

”He was going to find me the Dragon Grass to repair my body if I agreed to a Sign a Soul Contract.”

”To survive, I was ready to serve even the Demons.” ”Once my body recovered, following my Masterʼs suggestion, instead of living a normal life, I put myself in a deep sleep.”

”Every now and then, master wakes me up to fulfill his Orders. And this time, I was awakened to Bring the Dragon Monarch to my master, dead or alive.”
