Chapter 783:- Blood Extraction

”Sir, Princessʼs heartbeat has returned to normal.” Doctor Daniel walked over and then checked the readings himself. Seeing that her heartbeat truly had returned to normal, Doctor Daniel felt relieved. Daniel was a man who only cared about his research. For years, he has been conducting experiments and uncovering new secrets about her bloodline without being worried about anything. As an alchemist, his main job was to complete this project as soon as possible. While doing his main job, he was also given the freedom to conduct side experiments on the target. He never had to worry about anything. But nowadays, ever since the Princess started meeting someone in the spiritual world, Daniel hasnʼt been able to sleep for some reason. There was always a feeling of restlessness in his heart. Before, when he did research, his heart, soul, and mind were entirely focused on his work. When he worked, he completely forgot about his worldly worries. His work gave him the kind of happiness that he never got from anything else. But things have changed now. He was restless. He couldnʼt fully concentrate on his work. This is why he ended up making a few mistakes while he was working. Fortunately, his subordinates were able to catch these mistakes; otherwise, a lot of unnecessary time would have been wasted. ”Alright!! But that doesnʼt mean she will stop.” Daniel wanted his subordinates to be cautious. Ever since the abnormal incident, he hasnʼt allowed any of his subordinates to leave this room completely alone. He always put two of his subordinates to watch her heartbeat. And tonight, it happened once again. After Daniel was called from his room, he and the rest of his subordinates immediately arrived. Unfortunately, they were too late. It seems their meeting lasted for a while. ʼI hope the Princess hasnʼt revealed anything about us.ʼ The information that Rin got about them was purposely kept very minimal. After the old alchemist Ryan, retired, no one bothered to communicate with Rin other than the two guards.

However, they were also warned to stay extremely cautious and not reveal anything about them directly or indirectly. ”Keep a close eye on her heartbeat. If it increases, then notify me immediately.” ”Understood!!” Daniel then stepped out of the room and tried to communicate with their Boss through the communication artifact that he was given. After a while, their Boss finally responded. [What is it?] - Daniel became worried hearing their Bossʼs cold tone. He did not want to offend the Boss, but it was an important situation that he felt that he should report to the Boss. [Boss, I hope I am not disturbing you.] - Dr. Daniel Wood said in a nervous tone. He knew that given their Bossʼs identity, it was very natural for their boss to be very busy. If It wasnʼt an emergency, then Daniel wouldnʼt have called their Boss in the middle of the night. [Is it something important?] - The Boss asked in a cold tone. [If itʼs not, you better wash your neck.] - Hearing this, Danielʼs face turned pale. He began breathing quickly. This was the part of his job that he hated the most. Things were great when the old man was here to take over things. He had nothing to worry about. But now, aside from completing the project, he also had to lead the team and worry about various matters such as this one. [Itʼs about the Princess.] - Daniel said in a slightly low tone. His voice was kind of shaky from fear. [Did she have another Spiritual World meeting?] - The Boss asked in an unsurprised tone. This might be why Daniel had decided to contact him. [Yes!!]

[Is there anything new that you would like to add?] - The Boss asked. He sounded bored. [There wasnʼt anything new.]

[Daniel, from now on, if there isnʼt anything special or emergency about the situation then donʼt contact me during night time. Especially after the the midnight.] - This was his time to relax or have some fun. [My apologies.] - Daniel sighed in relief. If the Boss was angry, then he was sure to lose a few of his subordinates. [Itʼs alright if you understand.]

[Now, how is the project going? Have you guys made progress?] [We have increased the hours we have been working.]

[If we keep at this rate, then within ten days, the project will be completed.] [Alright!! Is there anything else you wish to tell me?] Doctor Daniel hesitated for a moment before saying. [Boss, can you please give me one more drop of her blood? I need just a drop of her blood for my side research.] - Doctor Daniel was almost pleading with his Boss. [No.....!!] - The Boss replied in a firm and determined tone that left no room for any pleading. [You already got your monthly one drop of her blood. Donʼt be too greedy.] [Besides, the last step of the Project will require almost all drops of her blood.]

[At this moment, I need you to focus all of your time on this project. Donʼt be distracted with any side project.]

[In fact, stop all of your side projects until the main Project is over.]

No one had the authority to disobey the Bossʼs orders. [Understood!!] [Boss, I have an idea.] - Doctor Daniel has been thinking of this idea this whole day. He wanted to share it with his Boss. [What is it?]

[Since we are sure that Rin must have called someone to Stardawn to rescue her. Why donʼt we bait her rescuer to a place where we can kill him very comfortably?] - This way, this whole case can be closed. And Doctor Daniel would finally have nothing to worry about. He would be able to concentrate on his work. [We can make it look like the guards have mistakenly said something that shouldnʼt have been said. If the target takes the bait, then we wonʼt need to worry about anything anymore. The project can be completed at a slower rate.]

[The reason I want to take time is because, at the last step, I donʼt want any mistakes. But now that we have sped things up, the chances of us making mistakes are also quite high.] - Doctor Daniel hoped that the boss would agree to his plan or at least would give serious thought to his plan. [It might work.] - The boss sounded unsure. Doctor Daniel did not disturb his boss. He let him think. At this moment, the Boss was seriously considering his words.

[Doctor Daniel, I will talk to you about this matter later. Something very serious has happened in the northern region. I will need to check on this matter first. Continue with the project.]

[Understood.]

The boss was about to end the conversation but then stopped because there was one last thing he wanted to add. [Also, speed up things. I want the project to be completed by the end of this week.]

Hearing this, Daniel widened his eyes in shock. [But Boss, accomplishing this would be next to impossible. This will increase our chances of making mistakes, which is something that we should be avoiding. [Perhaps if you stopped wasting time talking to me, then the Project might be completed in 5 days.]

[Now go!! If any of you made any mistakes, then you all will pay the price for them.] Daniel wanted to slap his own cheeks. ʼWhy did I even try to talk to him in the first place?ʼ Now, he was in a bigger mess. He regretted his actions. If kept his mouth shut then perhaps, the boss wouldnʼt have made things so difficult for them. The bright, gentle glow coming from his earring stopped, which hinted that their communication was over. Sigh.....!!

ʼI really wanted one more drop of her blood.ʼ Her blood was really special. It was due to her Bloodline that the Princess was captured and has been kept in this facility for over so many years. ʼBut I guess there is no disobeying the orders from the boss.ʼ Daniel Wood did not want to die. He still wanted to continue living and uncovering the secrets of life and the universe. •••

Aditya looked at the people that were lying on the ground around him. These people werenʼt dead. Rather, he had just broken their arms and legs. Their injuries werenʼt too severe. 3-star healing pills should be enough for them. ”Who are you? Why are you attacking us?” One of the disciplines of the Night Rider Sect asked him. He was once again wearing his white mask. So they couldnʼt see his face. ”Do you remember the old cultivator that you guys killed after coming to Stardawn?” Hearing his words, everyone looked at each other, looking very confused. They had killed many cultivators since coming here.

Which old man was he talking about? - they all wondered. ”I am the old manʼs Grandson. He was here to see me. Because of what you people here now I wonʼt get the chance to see my grandfather.” Aditya sounded sad while saying the latter part of the sentence. ”Now leave this city once and for all.”

”I am already being very merciful by letting you all live.”

”If you guys donʼt leave, start running within 10 seconds, then donʼt blame me if I kill any of you,” Aditya said while releasing a little bit of his killing intent. His killing intent was more than enough to scare them. All disciplines of the Night Rider Sect began running. Some couldnʼt run because Aditya injured them so badly, but others quickly supported those who could not run. ʼSurprisingly, that was really easy.ʼ Aditya continued watching them for a while to make sure that they had really left this city. ”Senior, where are we going?” A Senior discipline of the Sect was sent with the Juniors to guide them in Stardawn. But who would have thought that they would meet such a powerful cultivator? Despite not being a Peak 4th-order, he utterly destroyed them. ”Senior, we must have revenge.” Slap.....!!

The handsome senior did not hesitate to slap the woman that said this sentence. ”If you are not interested in living anymore, then you can go back to that city.” ”Bi**!! That man was a Mid-4th-order. Despite you being a Peak 5th-order, you couldnʼt even land an attack on him.” Hearing this, the woman felt very ashamed. ”In Stardawn, I donʼt think anyone from our sect would be able to have revenge on him.”

He felt even more frustrated by the manʼs smartness. Now that his face was covered, they wonʼt even know who this person was. Meaning that any chance of finding him outside of Stardawn was zero. ”We are leaving Stardawn. This stupid Dimension is of no use for us.” He did not want to come here in the first place. And they were leaving this place in such a humiliating state.
