Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 771:- The City of Beginning

Arriving on the other side of the portal, Aditya was surprised to feel that the Mana density in this world was the same as the six continents. This made him wonder why there was a cultivation restriction of Peak 4th-order while the cultivation restriction in the Six Continents was Peak 5th-order. This did not make any sense.

ʼUnless the Seven Clans intentionally control this.ʼ ʼWhatever!! This wonʼt lower my power. I will benefit more from this restriction than anyone else.ʼ

For the Dragon Monarch, killing a Peak 4th-order was as easy as sneezing. Due to the cultivators and ordinary people coming out of the portal, he had to start walking. The other side of the portal also had two massive lines. There was a line of ordinary people that had humans, beastmen, elves, Vampires, and other races mixed in it. The second line consisted only of cultivators. The only difference here was the number of carriages containing goods, boxes, and bags that each person had with them. Without being able to use storage rings, they had no option but to carry their goods and belongings physically. Almost a thousand guards were keeping two lines separated and maintaining order. Of course, VIP service also exists here. ʼI canʼt waste any time here.ʼ Shaking his head, Aditya decided to explore the City. The name of this city was Sun Rise.

The Sun Rise City was also known as the Beginner City by the foreigners of this world because the portal brought them to it. Since teleportation arrays did not work in this Pocket Dimension World, everyone had to start their journey from this city. ʼLetʼs see if this limitation is also imposed on my skill.ʼ After finding a quiet place, he closed his eyes.

Aditya tried to see if he could teleport back to the Dragon Palace. Although he felt himself being pulled, there was something blocking him. It was like an invisible barrier stopping him from teleporting back to the Six continents. ʼInteresting!!!ʼ ʼLetʼs try to use Crimson Wrap Flash.ʼ When he tried to teleport a distance of 6 meters, he failed again. At first, a tiny bit of his Mana was consumed. This meant that the skill did activate. But he felt something was blocking his path when he was about to teleport.

ʼThis world is becoming more and more interesting to me.ʼ ”Hey!! Would you look at that?”

”We have found the 7th target of the day.” Aditya opened his eyes while frowning. A group of thugs came to the same alley in which he was testing his teleporting skills. Four of the 22 thugs were Peak 4th-order cultivators. Even the weakest of them had the strength of Beginner 3rd-order. ”Hey, Rookie!! Why donʼt you hand us all of your belongings?” Knowing that cultivators often brought precious things along with a lot of money while coming to this world, many bandits and thugs often targeted the weaker cultivators and ordinary humans. Aditya just happened to encounter one such situation. ʼItʼs a Cannon event that cannot be avoided given my cultivation.ʼ Since he was a Mid-4th-order, these thugs felt that he should be an easy target, given that their group had four Peak 4th-order cultivators. Despite how all of them were dressed, every member of their group wore a red scarf around their neck. Seeing Aditya not responding, they became displeased. ”It looks like another foreigner is about to fall into our hands.” Saying that one of the Peak 4th-order thugs attacked him. But before he could even come within his 10-meter range, he kept something extremely hot. When he looked down, he was horrified to find himself sinking in magma. Others also felt this. Every member of their group was sinking in magma. ”Please!! Donʼt kill us!!” But Aditya completely ignored them and just left the alley. The painful screams of the thugs continued for a few seconds before the screams completely stopped. A few minutes later, the magma transformed back to normal ground. But the thugs and their belongings were completely gone. Not even their DNA would be found in that alley.

While walking around the city, Aditya looked around while eating fried peanut nuts that he brought from a local vendor. The prices of good here was slighter higher than in the Istarin Empire. The buildings of the City of Beginning were mostly made from wood. A few concrete buildings also existed, but these buildings seemed to belong to rich citizens.

The streets were wide enough for carriages. On both sides of the streets, there were wide spaces for pedestrians to walk. However, the drawback of having wide streets is the presence of uncleared waste on them. It was animal waste. It was a waste of the Magic animals that were used to pull the carriages. ʼIt smells really bad.ʼ Aditya wondered how the people of this city even lived with this smell. Worse, the carriages constantly moving back and forth on the street flattened the waste. ʼSeeing all this waste on the road, I donʼt feel like eating anymore.ʼ Aditya put the remaining fried peanut nuts in a small bag and then handed the bag to one of the beggars under the shade of a tree. ʼFrom what I have read, The City of Beginning, also known as the Sunrise City by the natives, is a neutral ground between the Seven Clans.ʼ ʼThe world of Stardawn is controlled by Seven powerful clans. The whole area of this Pocket Dimension World is divided into seven territories.ʼ The Sun Rise was at the center of this World. The Sun Rise City and 5 km area surroundings it is under joint control of the Seven Clans. All Seven clans have agreed to not bring any conflict in this city or anywhere within its surroundings. ʼItʼs like the Beast Continentʼs situation.ʼ The Seven Clans have a very interesting history. The history of the Seven Clans is as big and deep as the history of Stardawn. The clans have existed since the beginning of this world. It is said that the Seven Clansʼ ancestors were the ones who discovered this Pocket Dimension World during the era when the Demons were invading this world. The Seven clan leaders wanted to find a space place for their clans to survive and thrive. After a long search, they ended up on this island, which was abandoned at that time. Since then, the Stardawn came into existence, or more like more people came to know about it. When the Demons learned that a new Pocket Dimension World was discovered, they wanted to invade this Pocket Dimension World and wanted its resources all to themselves. Unfortunately for them, the Seven Clans were already informed of this. The clans united and decided to close the portal connecting their world to the Six Continents. On paper, each clan currently controls around 14.14% of the worldʼs land. However, the clan controlled by each of the clans is always changing due to the conflicts between each other. The most strange thing was that there was competition between each clan, but when it came to outside matters, all the seven clans united themselves. It was as if the bitter rivalry and the hatred between each clan never existed. Even the youngsters of the clans fiercely competed against each other. But when some outsiders tried to replace the clans, the others helped each other like it was their clan that was in danger. The clans did not tolerate the presence of foreign forces in Stardawn. ”If I find that the seven clans are involved, then I wonʼt hesitate to destroy all seven of the clans.” Aditya wasnʼt afraid. Even if the whole Stardawn was to turn against him, he still wouldnʼt retreat. If any of the clans were behind Rinʼs sufferings, then they would pay in blood. ʼI should have asked Rin exactly where she is being kept.ʼ Aditya kind of regretted not asking her where she was kept. Without a lead, he had nothing else to do. Having nothing else to do, he continued roaming around the city. He continued exploring till late evening. After his exploration, he learned more about Sunrise City than before. The Sun Rise was bigger than he had initially expected. The cityʼs population was said to be 4 million. But after touring the whole city, he can say that number far exceeded that. There should be close to 5 to 6 million people living here. The second thing he learned was that although this place was neutral, that didnʼt mean the Seven Clans had no influence in it. The Seven Clans sent their troops to guard and protect the city. Also, there were big mansions in seven locations around the City. Each Mansion belonged to one of the clans. The last thing he learned is that the Seven Clans control almost everything in this world. Whether it was business or cultivation resources, most were under the clans. ʼEven the word Monopoly might be an understatement.ʼ In the evening, he entered a tavern to have dinner. There were people from outside of Stardawn and locals.

”I am from the Istarin Empire. I am telling you, the Sun Rise City is nothing compared to the cities of the Istarin Empire. The biggest difference here is that no one will try to rob you in daylight or at night time. There is no waste on the streets. Everything is really clean.” Aditya found a man at the center of the tavern. The man had a long ginger beard that reached his chest. He was bald-headed. While holding a mug full of wine, he was telling how the Istarin Empire was. The entire tavern was listening to his story. This type of situation is fairly common in taverns. ”Sir, what would you like to have?” A beautiful woman in a maid outfit came to take his order. ”Bring me tonightʼs special.”

”Tonightʼs special is Roasted Sugar Bunny.” ”Sugar Bunny?” He hadnʼt heard of this before.

Hearing this the women instantly understood that he was a foreigner. ”Sir, Sugar Bunnies are only found in Stardawn. Their meat is really soft and tender. And their meat as a giant sweet taste to it. I am 100% confident that you will love its taste.”

”Alright!!”

”Would you like to order any wine?” Aditya shook his head. Knowing his past with alcohol, he has always preferred to avoid it. ”Is there dragonfruit juice?” Dragonfruit was his favorite. So he had to order its juice. ”Yes!!” The woman was about to leave but he stopped her to ask about the man at the center of the tavern.

”Whatʼs with that man?” He asked while pointing at the man with a long ginger beard. ”His name is Cole. He is a citizen of the Istarin Empire. He came here around two weeks ago.” ”Mr. Cole is really nice. He has made a lot of friends. So now, he is telling his new friends about his homeland.” Aditya nodded his head and then signaled the maid to leave. ”Our Dragon Monarch is the greatest Emperor to walk this world. Because of him, our lives have changed. I was able to earn enough money to travel the world.” The manʼs tone was filled with pride. ʼMaybe I shouldnʼt have chosen this tavern.ʼ Aditya was regretting his decision to come here. While touring around the city, he had heard others talking about him as well.

ʼI guess, it makes sense how Rin was able to hear all those rumors about me even though she is locked up somewhere in this world.ʼ

Aditya fell asleep as soon as he lay down. This was one of those rare nights where he was sleeping alone. He did feel a little bit lonely without his women, but he soon fell asleep. ”Danna-sama, youʼre here!!” When he opened his eyes, he was in the Spiritual World. To him, it felt as if he had just closed his eyes in the real world and opened his eyes to the Spiritual World. ”Rin...!!” She was sitting facing him.
