Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 761:- Strongest General Vs Strongest Dragonian [I]

”I have explained everything. Now, does anyone have any questions?” Aditya looked at everyone and asked. Seeing everyone remain silent, Aditya nodded. If anyone had any questions, they could just approach Spencer since he had discussed these changes to the Imperial Military with Spencer before implementing them. ”All right! This concludes our meeting.”

”You all can head back.”

”Your Majesty, may I have a word.” It was Victoria who stepped forward.

”What is it?” Everyone curiously looked at her.

After taking a few steps forward, She turned to Amber.

”I wish to fight General Amber.” Victoria could not wait. The urge to fight this woman was getting stronger with each passing moment.

”Amber, what do you say?” Aditya left the decision to Amber.

ʼFight between the Strongest Dragonian and the Strongest General of the Istarin Empire. I can already tell that this battle is going to be super interesting.ʼ Aditya planned to watch their battle. This kind of event cannot be missed.

”Spencer, are you going to watch?” Aditya leaned toward Spencer and asked him in a low tone, but others were able to hear as well.

Spencer silently nodded his head. The fight between Victoria and Amber is a must-watch event.

Missing out on such an electrifying battle would be a huge shame.

Amber looked at Victoria. Victoria appeared to be very confident. She was a proud woman. In such a short period of time, she is undoubtedly the most accomplished Dragonian. No wonder she called herself the Knight of the Dragon Monarch.

ʼLosing isnʼt an option for me.ʼ Amber understood the stakes of this battle.

Although this was nothing but a friendly exchange between them, if she lost, she would lose the respect of her division members.

”All right, I accept!!” Amber also wanted to test her strength. Since she reached 5th-order, she hasnʼt found any worthy opponent to test her strength.

Also, rejecting her challenge wasnʼt an option, given that she was the strongest among the Generals. She must defend her title as the Strongest.

ʼLosing this battle would mean losing respect from other Generals.ʼ

ʼFor the sake of my reputation, I must give everything to make sure that I donʼt lose.ʼ

But to Victoria, this was nothing but a friendly battle. She did not mind if she lost. In fact, this would only push her to train even harder.

ʼI must put a good fight in front of His Majesty. I canʼt allow the Knight of the Dragon Monarch to appear weak.ʼ

Scene Change____

In the end, it was decided that Amber and Victoria would fight on a remote island. Allowing them to fight anywhere around the Azure City is too dangerous. The aftermath of their battle would leave the land destroyed. It would ruin all of Riyaʼs hard work to restore the surrounding forest.

”Before this battle begins, I want to set a few rules that I want you both to follow.” Amber and Victoria nodded their heads.

”First of all, neither of you is allowed to use any attacks that could seriously harm you or put your life at risk.”

”Secondly, the time limit for your battle is set by this hourglass. When all the sand has fallen to the bottom, the match is over. The sand will take about 10 minutes to fall completely, so make sure you keep an eye on the time.”

After setting the rules, Aditya disappeared, leaving them alone.

”This is going to be an exciting battle.” Josh looked very excited. This was the first time a General was challenged. So everyone was very interested.

They were on a Flying Ship. From the deck of the ship, they were going to watch the whole battle.

”Spencer, letʼs bet.”

”I bet that Amber will win.” Aditya was slightly biased towards Amber.

But he knew that both Amber and Victoria had equal chances of winning. Victoria had the raw strength and higher cultivation advantage, while Amberʼs illusion magic and agility were deadly combos. It will be interesting to see which one is able to suppress the other.

”Then I will bet on Victoria.” Spencer chose Victoria without thinking much. ʼThat reminds me, most of my powerful Dragonians have evolved, Victoria is still a normal Dragonian.ʼ Realizing this, Aditya felt slightly guilty. As the Strongest Dragonian and the Knight of the Dragon Monarch, she should have been among the first ones to evolve. ʼI will do it after this battle.ʼ Even Aditya cannot imagine just how powerful she was going to become after evolving. She was already crazy strong.

ʼI would even dare that she is strong as Aunt Amelia.ʼ •••

Meanwhile, on the ground,

Amber and Victoria stood opposite, facing each other.

”Letʼs have a fair fight. I will restrict my stats to match yours.” Since Victoria was a Peak 5th-order cultivator, fighting Amber at her full power wouldnʼt be fair. ”Alright, but you might regret your choice.” Hearing this, Victoria narrowed her eyes. ”If at any point you feel that youʼre unable to keep up, then youʼre free to raise the level of restriction to 5th-order,” Amber said in a confident tone. She tried to keep her words as polite as possible. Because, she felt that Victoria might take her words as a sign of arrogance which wasnʼt true. Amber knew her limits better than anyone else. The current Amber is fully confident that she will be able to fight a Mid 5th-order mage or body cultivator on equal grounds, despite being a beginner 5th-order cultivator. She doubts there is any fellow beginner 5th-order cultivator she wonʼt be able to defeat, except if that personʼs name started with ʼAdityaʼ and they were the Emperor of the Istarin Empire.

However, Victoria did not mind Amberʼs words. She took her words and that confident look on her face as a sign and symbol of her powers. Victoria was socially awkward; she did not understand unspoken things very well.

”Letʼs start our battle.” ”Yeah!! Letʼs give everyone a good show.” Both of them held immense respect for each other.

They respected the work and the accomplishments that both of them had achieved in their fields. ”It seems they are starting.” Aditya flipped the sand watch. As the tiny grains of sand began falling down to the other side of the watch, their fight also began.

Both Amber and Victoria stared at each other before both started charging at each other. The power from the legs violently cracked the ground beneath them. Swoosh!!!!

Both of them were so fast that other than Aditya, others werenʼt even able to see them anymore. [Daggar Art - Phantom Blades]

Two black daggers materialized in Amberʼs palms. Amber charged toward her opponent and then swung the dagger horizontally from the right side with her right hand.

Seeing this, Victoria calmly grabbed her dagger and stopped the attack. For a microsecond, Amber was surprised. ʼSo these Black gloves are used for this purpose.ʼ The black gloves that Victoria was wearing were like gauntlets. The gloves werenʼt as soft or fragile as she had imagined. Rather, the gloves can be used to defend against swords, daggers, and spears. ʼThen about this?ʼ Amber made the same motion with her left arm. But Victoria once again grabbed her daggers. The knight of the Dragon Monarch was about to kick her in the stomach when she felt something. At the very last second, she managed to pull back, but still, one part of her body wasnʼt spared. ”What is that?” Victoria touched the right side of her cheek. She could feel something wet on her cheek, even through her glove.

There was a small two inches long scar on her cheek. The scar started from her cheek and ran downwards to the corner of her mouth. [Dagger Art- Nightfall Arrows] Victoria was astonished as she saw hundreds of black daggers begin materializing in the air around Amber. The daggers were silently hovering around Amber without being affected by gravity. ”It looks like Amber has got the first strike.” All the Generals were already impressed by Amberʼs power. ”What kind of skill is that?” Even Aditya was surprised. This was the kind of move that Assassins like Sasha, Lillith, or even Nathan would have. Earlier, Amber silently materialized tens of daggers and fired them like a projectile. Victoria was able to dodge all the attacks, but one of them left a scar on her cheek. She pointed her hand towards Victoria. The next second, all the daggers began rotating around Amber at an extremely fast pace. The daggers are moving around Amber at such a fast speed that even Victoria has to be cautious. ”Goo...!!” This time, Amber used a long-range attack.

All the daggers were fired towards Victoria like projectiles. ʼThey are fast!!ʼ ʼThis is good!!ʼ Victoria had a grin on her face as she crossed her arms on her chest like she was preparing to take on her attack. ”Donʼt tell me she is preparing to take all these daggers head-on. She is crazy....!!” Spencer felt his throat becoming dry. Just the thought of facing this kind of attack head-on made his legs weak. Spencer and the rest just saw this move to be stupid. Amber was surprised, but she did not stop her attack. [Blessing of Earth]

Suddenly, the outline of her body was glowing brown. This change happened just a microsecond before the projectiles hit her. Bang.....!!!

Everything around Victoria was totally and utterly destroyed. Once everything was over, even the ground around her had turned into a small crater. ”What a dangerous attack!!!” Josh took a deep breath. He felt that if he was in this situation, then he would have slaughtered. His whole body would have been cut to pieces. ”Is the battle over?” Henry asked in an uncertain tone. ʼAs expected, choosing to watch this battle was the correct decision.ʼ Henry thought in his mind. ”No!!” Aditya replied with a small smirk. As the dust settled, Amber was surprised to find Victoria. She knew that there was no way that a Peak 5th-order would fall from this kind of attack. But what really surprised her was the fact that there wasnʼt even a single scratch on Vicotriaʼs body. Despite taking all the daggers head-on, she did not even take a single damage. ʼHow is that.....!!ʼ Amber quickly realized that the brown light outlining her entire body had to do something with this. Amber noticed that the brown light around her body was starting to fade. The Blessing Earth was a defensive passive move that Victoria learned not so long ago. The move allowed her to increase the durability and defense of her entire body by seven times. For a short period of time, her body becomes strong enough to even take the attack of a Beginner 6th-order cultivator. However, the passive skill only lasted for 3.5 seconds. After this, the skill entered into a 2-minute cool-down period. But there was one significant downside to his skill. ”Here is my response!!” [Earth Spear!!]

Suddenly, the soil and dust from the ground began rising in the air. In a second, the large cloud of dust and soil began taking the shape of a spear. The giant spear then began compressing to the size of a normal spear. Grabbing the spear, Victoria rushed towards Amber. Seeing this, Amber began charging at Victoria as well. [Dagger Art- Nightfall Arrows] Amber again fired hundreds of daggers at Victoria like arrows. Seeing this, Victoria did not stop. She kept moving forward with a crazy grin on her face. Using the earth spear, she began deflecting and blocking all the daggers. Victoria mainly used the spear to defend her vital points, which were mostly her upper body and her crotch. As for the daggers that left scratches and scars on her arms, shoulders, legs, and thighs, she did not care about them. She kept charging towards Amber like a mad woman. It was clear that she did not care about her body.

ʼYou want to use close combat to defeat me, but I am not going to let that happen.ʼ Victoria was really good at close combat, and Amber knew that from the beginning. Amber had other plans in her mind. Just when Amber was 10 meters away, The Battle maniac grinned while looking at her. Amber felt something was wrong seeing her grinning. Suddenly, hundreds of spikes rose from the ground all around Amber. All the Generals and Spencer on the flying ship reacted strongly when they saw General Amber pierced by all the large black spikes. The length of each spike reached up to 2 to 3 meters. The spikes had impaled Amber from all sides.
