Chapter 39, First, Go Take a Bath

“You’re going now?” Lu Fan looked Han Ke up and down, saying with some concern, “Aunt, why don’t you rest for a while instead? I can see that you haven’t been feeling well these past few days. How about I go buy groceries and cook instead? When you’re feeling better, you can try making food with Attribute Enhancements.”

Seeing Lu Fan so concerned about her, Han Ke felt her heart warm up again.

She made a small smile, casually putting up her hair, and said with playful reproach, “I wasn’t feeling well because I was worried about you going to the Wilderness alone. I was afraid of something happening to you.”

Lu Fan’ felt guilty, but before he could say anything, Han Ke touched his face gently and softly said, “It’s alright now. You don’t need to apologise. Actually, you didn’t do anything wrong. No matter what, it’s good that you’re back. Just in the future, wherever you go, don’t leave without saying goodbye like that again, okay?”

“En, don’t worry, Auntie. I won’t do that again in the future,” Lu Fan whole-heardly promised.

Han Ke smiled again, her pretty face radiantly beautiful. “Alright then, seeing that you’re back, I feel much better already. Your Profession Change Scroll seems to have increased my Attributes quite a bit. I don’t feel tired anymore.”

As she spoke, Han Ke’s nose scrunched up and she scolded, “You really can’t take care of yourself properly when you’re out. Go up and take a bath. Change your clothes, and have a good rest. I’ll call you when the food is ready.”

Seeing that Han Ke’s complexion was much rosier than before, and so spirited, Lu Fan felt reassured to let her go out to buy groceries and cook.

After Han Ke left, Lu Fan realised that while he was chatting with his Aunt, Xiao Ye had messed up quite a few things on the first floor.

Lu Fan immediately had a headache and called out to Xiao Ye.

“Ang!” Xiao Ye poked her head out from a pot, wearing a steamer basket on her head, looking completely innocent.

“You little troublemaker, I didn’t watch you for just a moment, and you’ve damaged so many of the cooking utensils!” Lu Fan came forward, grabbed Xiao Ye, and put the steamer basket aside from her head.

Xiao Ye ‘Ang-ed’ again, complaining that Lu Fan had not paid attention to her earlier, so she got bored and bit on so many things.

Lu Fan was speechless. However, once he realised that he could now earn a ton of money, and his Aunt did not need to keep watching over this Bun Shop anymore, the damage done felt insignificant. If the steamer baskets and such in the shop were damaged, so be it.

“I’ll let you off this time, but in the future, when you’re home, you need to behave. No destroying things!” Lu Fan put on a stern expression and scolded her.

Xiao Ye made a ‘yi yi’, indicating she understood.

Next, Lu Fan also needed to take a bath and change his clothes. However, Xiao Ye kept following him, unwilling to leave for even half a step.

Lu Fan felt helpless, thinking he could not possibly take Xiao Ye with him to bathe, could he?

However, thinking carefully, it seemed to be that inappropriate. Although Xiao Ye was a female Dragon, they were different species. Bathing together should not be a problem.

Seeing that Xiao Ye was clearly intent on bathing with him, Lu Fan decided not to be fussy. He straightforwardly took Xiao Ye with him and enjoyed a comfortable bath together.

…

Meanwhile, in the study of a certain villa in Jianghai City.

Qin Qiu, wearing her thin Twilight Holy Robe, sat on a sofa.

Opposite her sat a handsome middle-aged man.

His features somewhat resemble Qin Qiu. He was Qin Qiu’s Father, the City Lord of Jianghai City, Qin Shanhai.

Qin Shanhai held a cup of hot tea, silently listening to everything Qin Qiu had to say.

After a long while, he took a sip of tea and asked thoughtfully, “You’re saying that this young man named Lu Fan not only had his Profession Changed to Dragon Tamer, but he had also managed to acquire a Giant Dragon as his Pet Dragon, fully demonstrating the power of his Profession?”

Qin Qiu nodded and said solemnly, “Yes, Lu Fan is really too strong. Compared to him, I’m like a firefly next to the Moon. At the beginning, when we entered the Secret Realm, he did not even need to summon his Pet Dragon. Yet, the strength he displayed alone was already much greater than Uncle Ge. We all had guessed he might have a powerful Warrior Type Hidden Profession.”

At this point, Qin Qiu gave a bitter smile and said, “Who knew that for him, what was truly strong wasn’t him, but his Pet Dragon. I have no idea what breed his Dragon is, but I can be certain it’s definitely a Giant Dragon. Only a Giant Dragon can be so powerful, easily killing a Level 25 Nightmare Boss at a mere Level 9.”

Qin Shanhai took a deep breath and confirmed, “To have such powerful Combat Power at Level 9, it must be a Giant Dragon. Only they would have such power.”

“This young man you mentioned is indeed surprising. I didn’t expect that once a Dragon Tamer has a Dragon, they could become this strong. Not only is the Pet Dragon unfathomably strong, but the Dragon Tamer is also nourished by the Giant Dragon’s power, far surpassing ordinary Warrior Type Hidden Professions. Dragon Tamer, truly deserving of being one of the three strongest Hidden Professions..”
