Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 12, Instant Kill, Dominator of the Mountain Stone Plains

Translator: Silavin

“Ang!” Following a hearty Dragon roar, Xiao Ye swept down from the sky. Her Dragon Tail merely flicked and it striked the Bloodthirsty Gray Fox. Yet, a crisp *smack* rang out, and the Bloodthirsty Gray Fox got shattered, with countless chunks of flesh exploding and flying into the air.

Xiao Ye’s mouth was nimble. She turned back in midair, precisely finding the most delicious part, its heart, among the flesh chunks and swallowing it in one gulp.

It was an instant kill!

Although he had expected this outcome, Lu Fan still couldn’t help but get excited. [As expected of a Dragon! She’s just too strong.]

Previously when Lu Fan encountered a Bloodthirsty Gray Fox, it gave him a huge headache. In a fight against another Level 10 Monster, even if he could win, he would definitely be injured.

No, that had changed. In front of Xiao Ye, this Bloodthirsty Gray Fox didn’t even have a chance to escape before being shattered, having the honour of becoming Xiao Ye’s meal.

The originally perilous Mountain Stone Plains suddenly did not pose any danger to Lu Fan.

He even joked in his mind, [with Xiao Ye here, can’t I just continue to push through all the way?]

After Xiao Ye ate the Bloodthirsty Gray Fox’s heart, she was clearly still unsatisfied. She cried out in midair, asking Lu Fan if she could go further to hunt.

Lu Fan smiled and waved at her, “Go if you want. Just don’t go too far.”

“Ang!” Xiao Ye excitedly cried out and happily flew towards a farther place.

Soon, a Level 12 Plains Hyena’s pitiful *oww oww* cries could be heard. Followed by another crisp *smack*, the Plains Hyena’s howls abruptly ceased.

With Xiao Ye’s Attributes, she should be able to one-shot kill Monsters below Level 20.

Lu Fan could sense that as Xiao Ye killed two Monsters in a row, both he and Xiao Ye gained a large amount of Experience Points.

Obviously, Xiao Ye was his Pet. After killing Monsters in the Wilderness, she would be provided Experience Points for Levelling Up, not just her, but her Master as well.

Lu Fan had originally planned to return after claiming the Treasure Map, but now, he decided to temporarily stay in the Mountain Stone Plains for a few days.

There was less than a week left until the major exam. Many students were using this time to increase their Combat Power, and were doing their best to frantically Level Up.

Although with Xiao Ye here, Lu Fan was certain the top ten Universities nationwide would bitterly fight to win him over, he still wanted to become stronger and take the top position in the South Province this year.

After all, it was only once he became the provincial’s top that South Province would give him generous rewards.

So at the very least, he had to raise Xiao Ye’s Level to 10.

Lu Fan decided to advance deeper into the Mountain Stone Plains to hunt some higher Level Monsters, to raise his and Xiao Ye’s Levels. He would return when the time was about right.

So, Lu Fan called out to Xiao Ye in the distance, “Xiao Ye, come with me to another place. Let’s find stronger and tastier Monsters.”

“Ang!” Xiao Ye’s excited voice came. With a whoosh, Xiao Ye flew over and directly hung onto Lu Fan’s body.

Lu Fan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. [Even though she clearly has wings, why is she so lazy? Why does she like to make me carry her?]

[But what can I do about it? It’s as though she is my own Dragon Daughter? I can only dote on her.]

Thus, one man and one Dragon walked towards the depths of the Mountain Stone Plains under the setting sun.

……

Very quickly, four days passed.

Deep in the Mountain Stone Plains, where rocks towered and some shrubs could reach as high as two metres, with the terrain being far more complex and dangerous than the outskirts. Actively Hostile Monster carnivores could be frequently seen and and their Levels were all above 25.

Generally speaking, only Monster Hunters around Level 30, with a relatively complete team, would dare actively hunt here.

“Dragon Jaw Strike!” Following Lu Fan’s order, Xiao Ye, whose wingspan was already close to 8 metres, dove down from midair. Her lower jaw flashing with red light as she smashed into the body of a Crimson Three-Headed Lion, whose entire body was scarlet red.

“Ang!” The Crimson Three-Headed Lion was already covered in burns and injuries, its life was already hanging by a thread. How could it withstand such a heavy blow?

Even though its body was tough, it was still sent flying by Xiao Ye’s Dragon Jaw Strike. It fell to the ground, vomiting blood, and stopped moving after struggling a bit.

“Well done!” Lu Fan smiled slightly and praised Xiao Ye, who had grown several times larger than before and was in midair.

“Ang!” Xiao Ye, praised by Lu Fan, excitedly did a somersault in midair like a child.

Just then, a golden light suddenly shone on Lu Fan’s body.

This made Lu Fan happy [I Levelled Up again?]

[No wonder, this Crimson Three-Headed Lion seemed to be extraordinary. It was a Level 25 Mini Boss that dominated the depths of the Mountain Stone Plains.]

It was very normal for the Experience Points it provided upon being killed to make Lu Fan, who was about to Level Up, raise another level.

In these four days, Lu Fan had led Xiao Ye to sweep through the Mountain Stone Plains, killing only Monsters above Level 20. It provided Lu Fan with a massive amount of Experience Points.

In just four days, Lu Fan had already Levelled Up from Level 10 to Level 14. It was a speed comparable to riding a rocket.
