Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 16, Filling up the Numbers

Lu Fan’s was actually quite dishevelled.

Although he now had Xiao Ye, the Heaven defying cheat, to ‘carry’ him in Levelling Up, he still had to fight all the way to the Divine Grade Treasure Map. Not to mention the days spent out in the Wilderness, he naturally looked dishevelled.

Over the past few days, he had also personally fought with some Monsters to temper himself. It was normal for his clothes to be tattered, with a few places stained with blood. Unfortunately, this made him look like a beggar.

“He should be a Monster Material Hunter, right?” Sun Ge stared at Lu Fan with furrowed brows, “But, this place is close to the depths of the Mountain Stone Plains. Is he really alone?”

Lu Fan’s appearance was indeed no different from a Monster Material Hunter. Being suspected as one was normal.

The reputation of Monster Material Hunters was far from good. Those who did this job were all in it for money. Many Monster Material Hunters, in order to make money, would kill and rob in the Wilderness. Such people have long ruined the reputation of this occupation.

Therefore, attendants raised in big Families like Sun Ge had always looked down on Monster Material Hunters.

However, Qin Qiu’s eyes lit up. She tugged on Sun Ge’s clothes and said, “Uncle Ge, do you think we could temporarily recruit him to join us and make up the numbers? This way, we can enter the Opportune Secret Realm…”

“Recruit a Monster Material Hunter?” Sun Ge’s brows furrowed even more. Obviously, he did not want to be in contact with a Monster Material Hunter.

Seeing that Sun Ge didn’t quite agree, and Lu Fan was already leaving, Qin Qiu hurriedly added, “Anyway, it’s just him alone. Even if he has any ill intentions, it’ll be hard for him to harm us. But the opportunity to encounter an Opportune Secret Realm is hard to come by. Maybe in the Secret Realm, we can get Gold equipment! If we miss it, it would be such a pity…”

Sun Ge also thought so.

Judging by Lu Fan’s age, he should not be too old, and his Level should not be very high either.

Such a person, even if he was not anything good, should not be hard to control.

At most, he would be more vigilant and keep a close eye on him in the Secret Realm, letting him fill up the numbers. Meanwhile, they just needed to clear the Secret Realm.

Moreover, with the Qin Family’s status in Jianghai City, which Monster Material Hunter would dare to offend the Qin Family unless they had a deathwish?

Therefore, Sun Ge nodded and said, “You’re right. Since it’s like this, Cai’er, go ask that Monster Material Hunter. Tell him we’ll give him 100,000 Dragon Coins if he joins us and fill up the numbers to enter the Secret Realm. Let’s see if he’s willing.”

“Alright.” Cai’er nodded. She used her Assassin Skill, Sprint, causing her Agility Attribute to soar. Then, her feet seemed to grow wings as she chased after Lu Fan.

Lu Fan’s four Attributes were very high, so naturally, he sensed someone from that group was chasing after him. He immediately stopped and turned around, asking vigilantly, “What do you want!?”

Cai’er stopped about ten metres away from Lu Fan and raised her hands to indicate she meant no harm, “Don’t be nervous, Little Brother.”

“I’m here on behalf of our Young Mistress to discuss some business with you.”

“What business?” Lu Fan asked.

Cai’er said, “We want to give you 100,000 Dragon Coins to join our team and fill up the numbers to help us go somewhere. You don’t need to do anything. You just need to obediently follow behind us. After it’s done, you can directly take the money. How about it?”

After a pause, Cai’er smiled, “Follow us and you can get 100,000 Dragon Coins. For you Monster Material Hunters, this deal should be quite profitable, right?”

“100,000 Dragon Coins just to fill up the numbers?” Upon hearing this, Lu Fan immediately guessed the other party’s intentions and laughed, “You discovered a Secret Realm nearby that has a special requirement for members, right?”

Cai’er did not answer, which was equivalent to admitting it. After all, even if she spoke more obscurely about such matters, it would be normal for Lu Fan to have deduced it.

Lu Fan was not very interested in 100,000 Dragon Coins. He was more interested in the rewards after clearing the Secret Realm.

He really hadn’t expected that he would encounter a team lacking people to enter a Secret Realm while coming to claim a Treasure Map.

Lu Fan thought for a bit and said, “Who has the authority to speak in your team? Take me to see them.”

Cai’er felt that Lu Fan, directly bypassing her to talk with Sun Ge, was being disrespectful. Even so, she had no choice. She could only grit her teeth and lead Lu Fan, “Alright, follow me.”

Lu Fan followed Cai’er back to where Qin Qiu and the others were. Cai’er returned to the group and whispered a few words beside Sun Ge and Qin Qiu, likely saying that this Monster Material Hunter seemed interested in the Secret Realm and was greedy.

Sun Ge nodded without making a fuss. He then took the initiative to step out from the crowd, came in front of Lu Fan, and reached out his hand, “Hello, let me introduce myself. I am Sun Ge, the Chief Butler of the Qin Family in Jianghai City.”

“The Qin Family, huh?” Lu Fan glanced at him. After some thought, he reached out and shook hands with Sun Ge, “The Qin Shanhai’s Qin Family, the City Lord of Jianghai City?”

Sun Ge grinned, quite proud, “That’s right, it’s that Qin Family.”
