Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 34, Return to Jianghai City

As the Young Mistress of the Qin Family, Qin Qiu was not foolish and could certainly see the potential in Lu Fan.

Not to mention anything else, just his Black Dragon alone was enough to let him stand at the pinnacle of the world in the future.

Such a figure would definitely not be confined to a small place like Jianghai City.

She knew herself well. She, Qin Qiu, was merely the Daughter of the City Lord of Jianghai City. Although she seemed to come from a prestigious Family, in reality, compared to Lu Fan’s potential, she was as insignificant as dust.

Thus, Qin Qiu’s attitude towards Lu Fan was extremely respectful.

At the same time, she was grateful that she had been well-mannered since childhood. During the time she had been with Lu Fan, she believed her attitude towards him had been quite good. She believed she had not offended him.

Qin Qiu’s attitude, on the contrary, made Lu Fan uncomfortable. He waved his hand and said, “Since there are no objections, I’ll take it then. That being said, we’re all students from Jianghai City about to take the major exam. You don’t need to be so formal with me, I’m not used to it.”

Qin Qiu was smart. Hearing Lu Fan say this, she nodded and agreed, “Alright, we’re comrades who have cleared a Secret Realm together. So, I’ll just treat you as a friend like before.”

“En.” Lu Fan nodded.

With one sentence, Qin Qiu had elevated her relationship with Lu Fan to that of ‘friends’. Lu Fan naturally could read between the lines and knew of Qin Qiu’s intentions. However, he did not say anything. After all, Qin Qiu was the Daughter of the City Lord of Jianghai City. She also had a Hidden Profession with great potential. There was nothing wrong with being friends with such a favoured Daughter of Heaven.

As Lu Fan wore the Ring of Resentment, a Transport Array to leave the Secret Realm finally appeared before everyone.

Although the crisis had been averted, this place was still gloomy and terrifying. Cai’er and another female Mage had already reached their psychological limit. Thus, everyone used the Transport Array to leave the Secret Realm.

Leaving the Secret Realm, everyone returned to the original Mountain Stone Plains.

Since Xiao Ye’s existence had already been seen by Qin Qiu and the others, Lu Fan did not need to hide her anymore. Not when she kept crying ‘yi-yi-yi’ when he tried to return her to the Pet Sub-Space. This time, he let her stay by his side.

After returning to the Mountain Stone Plains, everyone’s curiosity and attention naturally focused on Xiao Ye.

Including Qin Qiu, everyone was looking Xiao Ye up and down, as if looking at some rare animal.

It was understandable. In this world, Dragons were like deities. They were mysterious and powerful. Although their existence had been confirmed, how many people in the world had actually seen one?

Yet, now, a living Dragon appeared in front of everyone. How could they not be curious?

Xiao Ye was somewhat disgusted by these ‘ants’ at her feet. She couldn’t help but sneeze, spewing some scorching flames from her mouth and nose. It scared Qin Qiu’s little face pale, making her retreat several steps in succession.

Sun Ge also did not dare to approach Xiao Ye rashly. He kept his distance and exclaimed to Lu Fan, “Little Brother Lu, you’ve really opened our eyes… In all my life, I’ve truly never seen such a thing as a Dragon. Where did you get this Dragon from?”

Lu Fan smiled without speaking, obviously unwilling to answer.

Sun Ge immediately realised that his question had somewhat touched Lu Fan’s bottom line. Thinking about it, this kind of secret should absolutely not be leaked. After all, this concerned the Dragon Race, such an incredibly powerful race!

“I’m sorry, Little Brother Lu, I spoke without thinking just now, please pretend I was just speaking nonsense!” Saying this, Sun Ge slapped himself on the mouth, as an apology to Lu Fan.

Qin Qiu also knew what a sensation it would cause if Lu Fan’s secret was made public.

Holding the Holy Light Seal, she took the initiative to reassure Lu Fan, “Erm… you can rest assured, regarding this Dragon, I can guarantee that our Qin Family won’t leak out any information about it and cause you trouble.”

Lu Fan nodded and said, “En, just keep this matter a secret for me. At most, just let it be known within your Qin Family.”

Lu Fan also knew that Qin Qiu would most likely tell Qin Shanhai about this matter.

It was fine. So many people had seen his Dragon, it did not matter if Qin Shanhai knew about Xiao Ye as well. So long as this matter did not spread too widely, Lu Fan was fine with it.

Moreover, when the time for the major exam came, the fact that he had a Dragon would not be able to be kept a secret anyway.

By then, he would be able to go to University, leave Jianghai City. Even if people knew he had a Dragon, the University would naturally help him deal with it.

Since Xiao Ye had already reached Level 10, Lu Fan had no reason to stay in the Mountain Stone Plains anymore.

Little Jia and Sun Ge’s injuries were severe, so Lu Fan decided to return to Jianghai City together with Qin Qiu’s group.

After a day of long travel, the two groups finally returned to Jianghai City.

Sun Ge and the others took out their phones and directly notified the Qin Family to send cars to pick them up. They also called an extra car specifically to send Lu Fan back.

The Qin Family’s cars arrived quickly. They were all luxury cars, worth millions. This was enough to show the substantial capital the Qin Family had.

Before parting, Qin Qiu specially came to his car to say goodbye to Lu Fan.

“Classmate Lu, the reward I promised you earlier, I’ll have someone send it to you tomorrow at the latest.” Qin Qiu waved to Lu Fan in the car, “We’ll see each other at the exam venue for the major exam, I wish you the best!”

Lu Fan nodded and smiled back, “Yeah. You too. I believe you will perform well in the major exam.”

After Lu Fan finished speaking, the car slowly drove away.
