Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 424: Chapter 423 Great Success

That cunning old fox, he really can’t wait any longer!

With no other choice, Lin Xiaoquan reluctantly dialed Ye Haochuan’s number.

What he didn’t expect was that Tao Dongsheng, the old fox, actually wanted him to put the call on speaker.

Damn it, this old fox really has some thick skin!

Lin Xiaoquan shook his head inwardly and, feeling helpless, he agreed.

At that moment, Ye Haochuan’s voice came through the phone: ”Uncle Lin, what’s up?”

”Haochuan, you’re really living the life these days, I’m totally jealous, haha.”

After some small talk, Lin Xiaoquan got to the main point, hoping that Ye would act with a healer’s kindness, set aside his prejudices, and return to his post.

At this time, Ye Haochuan was unaware that Tao Dongsheng was meddling behind the scenes. Thinking that this was Lin Xiaoquan’s own idea, he said, ”Uncle Lin, to tell you the truth, I’m quite enjoying the downtime and am thinking of resting for a few more days.”

”So does that mean you’re going to return to your position at Haishan University Affiliated Hospital?” Lin Xiaoquan asked meaningfully, glancing at Tao Dongsheng who was all ears next to him, and chuckled.

”That... depends on the situation?” Ye Haochuan was unaware that Tao Dongsheng was right there, but he was careful with his words.

Tao Dongsheng started to grow anxious, wanted to say something but was afraid of creating a misunderstanding on Ye’s side. He picked up a pen from Lin Xiaoquan’s office desk and quickly wrote a few words. After seeing them, Lin Xiaoquan had no choice but to follow Tao Dongsheng’s wishes and asked, ”So, when do you plan on returning to work?”

”That’s really hard to say,” Ye Haochuan replied.

That was actually the truth. Currently, he was preparing for his journey to the Sub-Fire Dimension Realm, and whether he would live or die was still unknown. Even with the extensive memories inherited from the ”Holy Hand” regarding the Sub-Fire Dimension Realm, there would undoubtedly be many formidable beings there, so his survival was uncertain.

Tao Dongsheng, after hearing this, quickly wrote another line of words.

Lin Xiaoquan saw this and had no choice but to say as he was instructed, ”Well, Haochuan, regarding what I mentioned to you this morning about Senior Secretary Xiang, he has come to me hoping you could spare some time to take a look at his condition. What do you say...?”

After hesitating for a moment, Ye Haochuan replied, ”Since it’s something you’re involved with, Uncle Lin, how about this: arrange for Old Master Xiang to come to my rental apartment this afternoon. Sorry, I’m quite busy and can’t get away, so he’ll need to make the trip himself.”

Tao Dongsheng was overjoyed at hearing this, nodding continuously at Lin Xiaoquan, who then said with a smile, ”Then I have to thank you for this, Haochuan.”

”No need for thanks, Uncle Lin. Your business is my business...” Ye Haochuan chuckled.

After hanging up, Lin Xiaoquan told Tao Dongsheng, ”Old Tao, I’ve done what I could to help. The rest is up to you.”

Tao Dongsheng couldn’t contain his glee: ”It’s your thoroughness that counts, Old Lin. Don’t worry, at the next executive meeting, I’ll suggest delegating some party and community work to you, so you can contribute to the revival of our Huaxia.”

Hearing his grandiose words, Lin Xiaoquan neither agreed nor disagreed but smiled and said, ”Then I’m counting on your support, Old Tao.”

Having paved the way, Tao Dongsheng immediately made a personal call to Senior Secretary Xiang...

At half-past one in the afternoon, an unwelcomed group appeared at the door of Ye Haochuan’s rental apartment. The leader was none other than Tao Dongsheng, accompanied by Senior Secretary Xiang and his family.

Moreover, he had also brought along his daughter, Tao Ying.

At that moment, Tao Ying was holding her daughter Tongtong, who was suffering from polio.

Ma Tao had wanted to come too, but Tao Dongchun, worried that his hot-tempered son-in-law might spoil his plan, did not agree.

Tao Dongsheng was betting that, since Ye Haochuan didn’t recognize him or his daughter Tao Ying, he might be able to deceive Ye into treating his granddaughter’s polio.

The Xiang family knocked on the door and waited a while before it opened, and a young man came out—it was Ye Haochuan.

Seeing so many people arrive, Ye Haochuan couldn’t help but be taken aback. However, out of politeness, he didn’t complain and looked at the elder in the wheelchair, saying indifferently, ”This must be Senior Secretary Xiang, right?”

The elder in the wheelchair had white hair and appeared to be in his sixties, but he was spirited, and his face showed a dignified and imposing manner. He nodded and smiled, ”I am Xiang Qun, Doctor Ye. I have come due to your renowned reputation, sorry for the disturbance.”

Having confirmed the other party’s identity, and especially seeing his prestigious rank without any airs, Ye Haochuan smiled, nodded, and said, ”Old Master Xiang is too courteous. Please come in. However, there are too many people, and my rental is a bit cramped, so...”

”Doctor Ye, rest assured, only my spouse and I will go in. The others will wait outside,” Old Master Xiang said.

”Then I thank Old Master Xiang for his understanding,” Ye Haochuan said.

Only then did Old Master Xiang give a meaningful glance to his spouse, who nodded, and then she pushed the wheelchair inside the house.

After closing the door, Ye Haochuan began to examine Old Master Xiang. After merely a few glances, he diagnosed the symptoms, saying, ”Old Master Xiang, your condition is a result of spinal nerve damage, causing paralysis of the lower body. The difficulty in treating it has increased somewhat, but it’s not an issue for me.”

”Really?” Old Master Xiang was overjoyed, exchanging a glance with his spouse, whose eyes also brimmed with joy.

”Mm,” Ye Haochuan nodded.

”Then may I know how Doctor Ye plans to treat it?” Old Master Xiang asked.

”The acupuncture therapy of Traditional Chinese Medicine is sufficient,” Ye Haochuan said indifferently.

After that, Ye Haochuan had Old Master Xiang’s spouse help take off his upper clothing. Meanwhile, he took out the Needle Bag from his storage ring.

One minute later, Old Master Xiang’s lean upper body was exposed in front of Ye Haochuan.

Under the puzzled gazes of the elderly couple, Ye Haochuan suddenly let out a low shout, his energy sinking into his Dantian. The strong Longevity True Qi transformed into a gentle aura that surrounded Old Master Xiang, then slowly lifted him up, making him float flat in midair.

”Ah!”

The couple had never seen such a sophisticated treatment method and couldn’t help but cry out in shock.

”There’s no need to be nervous...”

Ye Haochuan reassured them, then proceeded to apply the needles, swiftly inserting rows of Silver Needles into Old Master Xiang’s back before brushing his hand over them, conveying True Qi directly into the points.

Before long, the soft ends of the Silver Needles began to tremble on their own.

After about ten minutes of this method, Ye Haochuan removed the Silver Needles and began the second phase of treatment.

He had already prepared a large pile of ground Chinese herbs, which he mixed evenly, then combined with the powder of the Bone-Strengthening Pill he had refined, rolled up in mulberry paper, and stuffed it into a bamboo tube that was sealed at one end and open at the other.

Immediately after, Ye Haochuan’s fingers moved swiftly, and within a moment, he sealed several major acupoints on Old Master Xiang’s back.

”Old Master Xiang, if it becomes too much to bear later, just let me know. You don’t have to endure in silence,” Ye Haochuan instructed.

Originally, Old Master Xiang still had some doubts about his medical skills, but at this moment, after witnessing his sophisticated techniques, Old Master Xiang’s confidence surged, replying, ”Alright.”

Then, the couple saw Ye Haochuan raise up the bamboo tube, but, without knowing how he did it, a wisp of green smoke suddenly emerged from it, rising slowly, the end of the bamboo tube visibly reddening from the heat.

Taking advantage of this moment, Ye Haochuan took a deep breath, positioned the open end of the bamboo tube against Old Master Xiang’s spine, and pressed down without letting go.

After several minutes, Old Master Xiang suddenly began to struggle with his hands and feet, calling out profusely sweating, ”I can’t bear it anymore!”

Ye Haochuan smiled slightly, ”It’s done, Old Master Xiang, the condition of your lower body’s paralysis has been healed.”
