Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 420: Chapter 419: Why am I so unlucky?

At this time, Chen Zhonghe was still unaware that Secretary Tao had already selected him as the scapegoat. After preparing himself, he quickly called for Secretary Zhang, ready to head to Haishan Hospital.

Yet, as soon as they descended the stairs to the entrance, they ran into a group of patients and their family members who were arriving to protest.

Among these people were some who recognized Secretary Zhang; someone immediately shouted loudly, ”Block that bastard, I know him! He’s the one who went to Haishan University Affiliated Hospital yesterday, threatening to revoke Junior Godly Doctor Ye’s Medical Practice License.”

In an instant, hundreds of patients and their families swarmed over, surrounding Chen Zhonghe and Secretary Zhang.

Seeing the situation, both of them were startled and hurriedly called for the security guards at the gate.

However, there were too few security guards, barely ten of them, and they were no help against such a large number of patients and family members. Instead, they were beaten up and fled in total disarray.

At this moment, a burly man with a large build grabbed Secretary Zhang, glared at him, and barked, ”Fuck, it was you who yelled about revoking the Junior Godly Doctor’s Medical Practice License yesterday afternoon, wasn’t it?”

Secretary Zhang, who had been frightened out of his wits, stammered, ”Brother...”

Before he could finish, the burly man shouted, ”Your mother, I’m not your brother!”

”Brother, my dear brother, it wasn’t my idea to revoke Doctor Ye’s Medical Practice License, I was just following orders...”

”Orders? Orders my ass!”

The burly man, gritting his teeth in anger, smashed his huge fist onto Secretary Zhang’s face, spraying spit as he roared, ”Fuck, I came all the way to Haishan to see Junior Godly Doctor Ye for treatment, I finally got an appointment, and you bastards cancel his license with a single piece of paper. Who do I go to for treatment now?”

Having been punched in the face, Secretary Zhang was both pained and frustrated, miserably saying, ”Brother, this really has nothing to do with me.”

”Then who does it have to do with?” the burly man demanded.

Secretary Zhang had no choice but to cast his gaze toward Chen Zhonghe, who was also being restrained next to him.

Chen Zhonghe sensed trouble and was very dissatisfied with Secretary Zhang’s cowardly behavior, thinking to himself, this Secretary Zhang, looks like he doesn’t want his job anymore, damn it, dropping the ball at a critical moment!

”Who are you?” the burly man stepped forward, grabbing Chen Zhonghe by the collar.

Chen Zhonghe, seasoned in the ways of officialdom, still put on the airs of an official, somewhat feebly but loudly demanding, ”What are you doing? What are you doing? This is a society ruled by law; you can’t just do whatever you want. Let me go immediately, or you’ll regret it later!”

The burly man, enraged, slapped him right across his old face and said, ”My life is nearly over, what do I have to fear? Tell me, who are you?”

After being slapped, Chen Zhonghe was seething with rage, ”You bastard, dare to hit me, the Director of the Health Bureau? Aren’t you afraid of going to prison?”

”Damn, so you are the Director of the Health Bureau, were you the one who did the good deed of revoking Junior Godly Doctor Ye’s Medical Practice License?” the burly man cursed, and then he called out to the crowd, ”Everyone, this old bastard is the one who ordered the revocation of Junior Godly Doctor Ye’s Medical Practice License.”

Suddenly, the crowd surged around, and people started cursing at Chen Zhonghe for doing such a thing.

Listening to the cacophony of shouting and cursing around him, Chen Zhonghe felt his head was about to explode, especially since he had been slapped earlier, and his ears were still buzzing.

And deep inside, he sighed to himself, Damn it, I was about to rush to find that kid Ye Haochuan and have him return to his post. Who could have foreseen this damn mess? Why am I so unlucky?

After a while, he regained some composure and didn’t dare to put on an official tone anymore. He tried his best to calm the crowd by saying, ”Everyone, please calm down, calm down. Actually, the reason my bureau revoked Doctor Ye’s medical practice license yesterday was mainly because we received a public complaint stating he was involved in a medical accident. We asked him to cooperate with the investigation, but he refused. That’s why we revoked his license.”

”Bullshit, it’s just like that saying, trash at work, useless in office. What medical accident? It was clearly a setup, I was there at the Haishan University Affiliated Hospital cafeteria and saw everything clearly. Junior Godly Doctor Ye exposed their scam on the spot. You concluded without a proper investigation, aren’t you ashamed?” someone in the crowd shouted loudly.

As soon as these words came out, they immediately garnered a lot of agreement from the crowd.

Facing the tidal wave of criticism and curses coming from all around, Chen Zhonghe’s face turned as red as a monkey’s butt. Damn it, is being an official easy? I was about to retire comfortably, but now I’ve ruined my reputation and become a classic example that will stink for thousands of years.

”Everyone, please remain calm. The situation is not what you imagine. In fact, Secretary Zhang and I were just about to rush to Haishan University Affiliated Hospital to invite Doctor Ye back because our investigation results are out, and it turns out that someone indeed set up our Doctor Ye on purpose.”

While wiping sweat, Chen Zhonghe explained; at this moment, deep down, he still felt a bit guilty. The scam that had set up Ye Haochuan yesterday was actually orchestrated by him, having Secretary Zhang pay people to act as concerned citizens, intentionally causing trouble for Ye Haochuan. He didn’t expect the trouble to backfire and be exposed, leaving him red-faced and speechless.

Hearing his explanation, the patients and their families present calmed down a bit. However, some people still doubted on the spot, ”Bullshit, talk is cheap, you officials are best at being two-faced, who knows if you’re deceiving us?”

Seeing that the crowd that had been pacified looked ready to flare up again, Chen Zhonghe hastily said, ”No, no, it’s true.”

”Empty words are worthless. Alright then, you come with us to the Haishan University Affiliated Hospital right now,” someone in the crowd said loudly.

With things having reached this stage, what else could Chen Zhonghe say? Besides, he was planning to go there anyway, so he immediately agreed.

However, at this moment, a squad of patrolling police arrived. Seeing the chaotic scene, they immediately drew their guns and surrounded the area.

Seeing the guns in the hands of the police, the patients and their families felt somewhat intimidated.

Chen Zhonghe became more arrogant, yelling, ”Comrades of the police, I am Director Chen Zhonghe of the Health Bureau. Arrest these troublemakers at once, especially this guy. Damn it, they’ve turned the world upside down, daring to make trouble at the Health Bureau and even hit people?”

A police officer who looked like the leader immediately approached, directed his fellow officers to control the situation, and called for backup.

”What happened?” the police leader asked after he had subdued the muscular man who had hit Chen Zhonghe, speaking sternly.

Although the muscular man had a bold nature, he still felt intimidated by the police and nervously explained what had happened.

When the police leader heard the incident was related to Divine Doctor Ye Haochuan from Haishan University Affiliated Hospital, his expression instantly changed, and he quickly ordered, ”We can’t handle this matter. Director Chen, you really know how to stir up trouble, huh? Dare to offend Doctor Ye?... Brothers, stand down, stand down!”

Chen Zhonghe’s complexion changed. Damn it, what is happening? How come the police got scared off just upon hearing Ye Haochuan’s name, like a mouse seeing a cat?
