Chapter 1997: Chapter 1998: Construction Tasks

The features of this tea party town are entirely in Lianna’s personal style.

Whether it’s the rose scent, the rose carvings, or the occasional falling rain of rose petals, they’re all emphasizing Lianna’s personal traits.

This is understandable, after all, Lianna is the organizer of this tea party. Since she is hosting, it makes perfect sense for her to design the tea party town with a ”rose” theme.

However, if this rose-themed town is to be moved to the Wilderness of Dreams, there would be some issues.

It’s not that the Wilderness of Dreams cannot embody Lianna’s personal style, but focusing too much on personal experience will naturally restrict the scope, in Angel’s view.

After all, Angel intends to use this tea party as the beginning to gradually unveil the Wilderness of Dreams in the Southern Domain Wizard World.

It can be said that the main purpose of this tea party is to inaugurate the Wilderness of Dreams.

Once the scope is restricted, the inauguration of the Wilderness of Dreams will inevitably encounter obstacles.

Therefore, if the tea party town is really to be moved to the Wilderness of Dreams, Angel inwardly resists the idea.

So, if not to replicate it exactly, how should it be designed to reflect the grandeur without losing Lianna’s face?

Angel sat on a random bench in the fountain garden covered in gravel, pondering over this issue.

However, as time passed, even after thinking for most of the day, Angel still couldn’t come up with a perfect solution.

”Forget it, I won’t think about it now, I’ll see when the time comes... At worst, once the design is completed, let Lianna add some of her personal elements.”

Angel looked at the time, half an hour had passed, and Babaya and Kudodo should have finished tidying up. With this in mind, Angel stood up, ready to leave.

Just as Angel walked out of the fountain garden, a burly man was walking towards him from a distance.

They brushed past each other, the man showed no reaction, while Angel turned his head to watch the man’s back.

The reason Angel was watching the man wasn’t really because he sensed anything unusual, but because the man wasn’t a stranger to him.

”Baruba...” Angel whispered the man’s name in his heart.

Baruba was a peer who entered the Barbarian Cave at the same time as Angel. His physical body was inherently strong, and he was once the true winner of the Nine Chambers Bloodsport, where no other Talented One dared to challenge him, not even Hook Dick.

If nothing unexpected happens, Baruba would rise to become a Bloodline Wizard, potentially even more outstanding than Nausicaa.

However, while Baruba’s bloodline achieved him, it also shackled him.

The Wizards’ legacy strictly prohibits passing it to otherworld beings. Yet Baruba’s body contains half otherworld barbarian bloodline. Although mixed-race individuals aren’t restricted, gaining recognition from the Wizards for someone like Baruba is very difficult.

Baruba’s situation in the Barbarian Cave was extremely dire, almost becoming a Substitute Puppet.

Fortunately, after David was taken as a disciple by Lianna, Baruba became a staff member at the Promy Alchemy Shop, which slightly improved his predicament.

”I remember the doors to the alchemy store in the Underground Market aren’t open, so Baruba was also recruited to construct the tea party town?”

While Angel was speculating, Baruba in the distance suddenly stopped. He took a piece of parchment from his pocket. After looking at the parchment several times, Baruba brought out a scroll, placing it on his palm.

With a flash of brown light, the elemental Power of Earth began continuously emitting from the scroll.

As the Power of Earth gathered to a certain extent, Baruba began to intervene, turning the intangible power into a tangible force.

With a resounding noise, the ground began to rapidly rise, quickly constructing a house framework based on grey stone under Baruba’s control.

In a blink, the framework became solid, and a small chapel began to take shape.

Angel could tell that Baruba was using the scroll to manipulate the Power of Earth to construct buildings. Along the way, Angel had seen similar scenes multiple times.

However, others would stop once they built the structure.

Being able to construct a rough outline was already sufficient. The remaining detailed patterns, fine carvings, landscape design, and so on, were left to others.

It’s not that they couldn’t do it, but manipulating the Power of Earth to do such fine work is no easy feat.

Yet Angel noticed that after Baruba had built the chapel’s outline, he didn’t stop and continued refining the chapel.

In almost two or three minutes, the crude structure was sculpted into a fine form. At this point, it was already considerable. Many mortal towns’ churches were basically like this.

But Baruba still didn’t stop, continuing his meticulous operations. The plain walls started to feature intricate vine patterns, and layers of gorgeous roses began to bloom under his hand.

Angel watched, wide-eyed, as a beautiful pure white chapel appeared before him, from nothing to something.

After Baruba finished the chapel, he even took out the scroll and painted a stained glass window.

Once the stained glass was thoroughly integrated into the chapel, Baruba examined it carefully and finally nodded in satisfaction.

”Rose Chapel completed, 1,000 contribution points earned.” Joy flashed in Baruba’s eyes, for 1,000 contribution points equate to 10 whole Magic Crystals. And 10 Magic Crystals are roughly one-third of his monthly salary.

He had spent less than 20 minutes to earn those 10 Magic Crystals, how could he not be pleased?

Unfortunately, such construction tasks don’t usually exist. Due to the tea party, they appeared. Unfortunately, there are many wolves but little meat, so snatching a task isn’t easy.

Baruba quickly put away the scroll, intending to head back to the Task Hall to hand over the task, hoping to get another construction assignment.

Just as Baruba was about to leave, a male voice reached his ear: ”You did a good job with this chapel, whether it’s the patterns or the carvings, it’s all seamlessly integrated. It seems you have a profound artistic foundation.”

Baruba turned to see a red-haired, golden-eyed man standing beside him, his eyes on the chapel not far away.

When did he appear? Baruba was startled; he had not sensed anyone approaching at all.

Faced with such an unknown and possibly powerful stranger, Baruba did not intend to engage in conflict and said softly, ”I don’t understand art; I just built according to the design. The real artist is the designer of the blueprint.”

Baruba waved the design plan that he hadn’t put away yet.

”Even so, your ability to perfectly replicate the design and express even the subtle details clearly is a very exceptional skill.”

”Thank you for the compliment, but that may be an overstatement. I must go now, I need to deliver my task.” Baruba didn’t understand the red-haired man’s true intentions, but he wasn’t prepared to explore them, grabbing tasks was more urgent.

However, at that moment, a voice resonated in his ear.

”I have some construction tasks here, would you like to take them?”
